HVAC reviews in Goodyear, Arizona

The only reason what this company is getting one star is because google is making me put a star they deserve absolutely 0 stars! They came out to my house about 4 months ago to service my AC unit and now it is not working so I call them back and the lady that answered is the most rude lady I have ever dealt with! I will never use them again! Chas Roberts is by far the worst!!!! Never use them!!!

I just wanted to give a shout-out to Kasey!
He was awesome, professional, on time as well as knowledgeable. I was a little reluctant once our builders explained that this was the company that were scheduled for our repairs only after reading the reviews. I’m so glad that we experienced excellence. Ask for Kasey! -
My BRAND NEW home is only 10 months old. Today the air handler failed and was told it could take up to 7hrs for a tech to arrive. My wife has asthma and it's 111 degrees in Buckeye, AZ. If she ends up in the hospital, a lawyer WILL be called.
Update: Our tech DROSS showed up and fixed our unit. He was very friendly and professional. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. This guy needs a raise! -
If I could leave less than a star I would. They are a horrible company that we are forced to work with due to contract with our home builder. They undersized our ac unit for the square footage, we have Sever hot spots in our home that they won’t resolve. Every time a technician has been to our house they are sloppy, rude, leave a huge mess of insulation in our closet and all over our clothes. I’m a simple plastic drop cloth could have fixed the issue of insulation on clothes. I wouldn’t recommend these guys to my worst enemy. They are that bad.

Had a problem with ac yesterday late in the day. Called Chas Roberts company...still waiting for a call back!!! So after waiting for a while with no call back from them...I called Parker & Son's they got a great guy out here around 12:30 or so in the night...all fixed in about an hour. The repair man was super. Durning the wait time I took the time to read the reviews of both places if I'd have done that first I'd have never call Chas Roberts not very good reviews. Parker & Son's had much better reviews. Then to make it even better just got a call from Parker to see if everything was handled ok. Wonder if C.Roberts is ever going to call back???

A/C unit not cooling. Called Monday at 3am and was told to make service appointment. Understandably there was a wait, soonest “emergency” appt was Wednesday 7pm to midnight. Have both a baby and two dogs at home. Checked into a hotel but husband waited for them to show up. Quarter to midnight called to check status as no update. Assisted by service line and advised they would have tech call. Ok they probably got held up.... two hours later still no call. Called again, told same thing. Still nothing. This is totally unprofessional. This was not a last minute appointment and no notice at all it is ridiculous. Any sort of update would be nice especially having to wait inside a hot house this whole time. Now we have to pay an additional night in a hotel and take off more time from work. Still with no update or knowledge of when or where the service repair person is. Save your time with this TERRIBLE service and lack of concern from this company.

A/c went out yesterday morning. Called to schedule appointment for today after 4pm... when 5 rolled around I called back to ask when I would see someone and they said I never called. So much for there "24/7" service there website claims. I would think as a 12 year customer I'd be treated better than this but I guess not. I think I'm entitled to some kind of compensation for my trouble as I signed a 7 year free parts and warranty yet when I actually need it your nowhere to be found. I'd appreciate a manager getting back to me ASAP. Thanks

My man Tom! He was like the Batman of A/C's! Taught me everything I needed to know about my specific unit in under 10 minutes. After paying other companies crazy amounts for a simple fuse change, because they didn't find what was blowing the fuse. Tom was able to narrow down and diagnose the most likely issue in his mind, and it turned out to be just that! Albeit my experience with the office personnel no where near matched my experience with the manager and lead tech, I will still give 5 star

We had two technicians come to our home to deal with a very difficult issue we were having with our air conditioner. They tried several different things to fix our issue and didn't stop until we were completely satisfied. They stayed on the job site until 9:00 pm!! They were polite and professional throughout the entire experience and left the job completely clean the way they found it. I honestly can't say enough nice things about our experience!! Would highly recommend this company and their staff!

Our Evap cooler was not working this spring blowing hot air and pouring water off the roof. The customer service was great, friendly, quick response time With reasonable prices. The technician was amazing and it works better than it ever has. It’s been 100+ and we have not had to use the ac due to the repairs! We would highly recommend Chas Roberts to anyone and everyone!

We got back from a weekend trip to find our AC was completely dead. Called about 1130 PM to request a scheduler to call in the morning. At 617 the next day a a scheduling called and got us an appointment that day. Craig came out and totally took care of us and we're back up and running. A really good experience and will happily give our business back to them in the future.

I had a problem with my furnace and called Charles Roberts to have it repaired. This was on a Friday pm. I was expecting to have to wait till the next week, with Christmas on Tuesday I could be stuck for a week or more. Instead, the dispatch lady assured me that a technician would be here yet tonight. Clayton arrived at 6:30 pm, as promised. He diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes, or less, and fixed it within an hour. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are great, and I really appreciate the service they gave me, as I live in Sahuarita, probably 50 miles or so from their headquarters. Great outfit with competent and caring employees.

Been waiting almost 10 days for a single part to fix my unit. Haven't kept me up to date on the eta or anything of that sort of nature. 1 star.

So so many of us in Meritage new developments have sooooo many problems with the install jobs with Chas Roberts. Any given day you can easily see a AC repair van in summer just going around the block. Not even worth having them come to “repair” things because it’s just a stupid bandaid for the real problem. Never had this many problems in the 25 years Ive been in Arizona. Every summer we have to have emergency repairs, going on 3 years in a row on our brand new home. Very very frustrating and we have decided to just pay out of pocket at this point to get our AC finally installed proper

Chas Roberts you need to do better! Figure out if you have a training issue with your installers! If you are going to be the primary provider for builders in the AZ area, you need to get your act together and make sure these installers are doing their jobs right the first time around and not wasting time and money for calls to fix a bad install and bad units! Me along with many others moved into our newly built Beazer homes over the summer and I know of at least 8 of us on our cul-de-sac street alone, for a fact, that as soon as we turned on our heat for the first time with it getting chillier out, our heaters did not work. Every single one of us had to submit a case with Beazer and have Chas Roberts come out and fix our HVACs. The Beazer customer service rep even told me he came from another builder and they had the same issues using Chas Roberts so this is a common issue he said. They were either not hooked up correctly, the drainage tubes not properly installed, bad parts on a brand new unit, placement of the user manual in the unit not in the correct place to cause a fire hazard, this is just to name some of the issues after neighbors talking to each other about our HVAC issues. In regards to our issue specifically, we made a work order on Monday, the Chas Roberts tech came out that afternoon and had to completely dismantle our whole HVAC unit and put it back together because the user manual had been placed inside the blower area where when it had been turned on initially prior to us even moving in the blower tore the manual to shreds and paper was stuck inside that area. The tech said that was a fire hazard and could have started a fire! He cleaned out all the paper and realized the sensor was broken. He had to order the part and came back 2 more times that week and by Friday we had a working unit. He replaced the sensor along with a couple more parts when he realized the sensor wasn't the issue. After 3 parts replaced and it still not working, the same tech said the only other part that he hadn't replaced was the mother board. That part had to be ordered so on Friday he replaced the board and that was the issue for it not firing and working. We did appreciate his persistence to get our HVAC up and working and clearing out all the paper that could have caught our house on fire. That terrified us that if the HVAC unit had been working and the paper being in there a fire could have started in our brand new home. This is not acceptable or good business working with builders. Be Better! There's so many more homes to be built just in our neighborhood alone and I don't want the next homebuyer to experience the same issues as those of us on our cul-de-sac street have had to deal with recently with the weather changing and turning on the heat for the first time.

I have used Chas Roberts for multiple issues with my heating and air condtioning as well as a gas line repair. They have been very responsive. Arrived on time and did great work. I have never felt pressured for any thing they have done. They are my go to company for anything I need for heating and air conditioning work.

This company is the worst I have ever dealt with. about the Lead tech thing. he was just as clueless as the first guy. In fact, he was the reason for the second call due to poor wiring causing a short. They don't have the skills to troubleshoot properly, so they just keep replacing parts until they get lucky.
We have been without heat, in a 1 yr old home, for two weeks.
They took the system down and now we cannot get an ETA for repairs.
But if you complain about the service, they wont take your calls and pass you to the builder.(weak customer service lead)
They told the Builder, "Parts were installed and everything is working. Just a flat out lie. System is still not functioning.
They left grease marks on the attic door and their old truck left oil in front of the house.
Typical of this company to automatically blame the manufacturer.
You purchased, inspected, installed and did the startup. Own it.
AVOID THEM IF YOU CAN! -
2025 homes all A/C units rattle and don't provide Air.
Save yourself the trouble Chas Roberts is worse than chuck in a truck -
I had a problem with air duct adequately cooling one room in the house. The rest of the house was comfortable. I had a technician come out last summer and he checked to make sure the AC was working properly and it was. This year Mike “The Brick” came out to check on the same issue. He was able to adjust the air flow to direct cool air from the coldest room in the house to the hottest room. I’m so glad he was my technician years of experience and expertise makes a difference. Thank you!

We bought a new home in AZ in 2022 and the AC was installed and warranted by Chas Roberts. During our first some we had minor issues but still had to pay for a service visit. This year the fan on the condenser seized up, during the visit the tech was very helpful and said that part was at either a store or a warehouse (I couldn’t really tell which one the guy said) but it was to late in the day to make it to the place and that we’d need to have it ordered. I was okay with paying for it and thinking they’d just go pick it up and have it installed the next day. They tech told me to call in the morning and they would be able to give me a ETA on the part and I could get an estimated time and date for the install. I called this morning, no ETA part was ordered, so I said okay I will call back this afternoon. When I called back I was told still no ETA and that it could take a few days to get the part and then get it installed. I never would have agreed if I knew that this was going to happen. I can’t recommend a company that uses shady practices like this. I will update this post when I get my ETA and install date.
