I got racially profiled trying to return some items earlier this evening. I specifically got told I can return 1 thing once a year. 5 minutes later the same woman told my white friend that she can return whatever once every 6 months without a receipt. I feel sick to my stomach because I'm not "that" Hispanic looking..

I set up a in home consult for a sliding door for my back patio and a frond door thinking about getting a storm door, the initial set up for this was back in July of last year, the person that came out basically said all of the requested doors and items I wanted would be crap and that I would be unhappy with them and he was always uninstalling all of the selected items, he stated the door I had selected for the back of the house wouldn't fit the team at Home Depot then following the recommendation of the tech set me up with a custom door at triple the price I had initially selected, the door was ordered and the handle was incorrect initial install was supposed to be in September 2 months after getting it ordered but they had to send the door back because the door was incorrect in is opening, this was found the day before it was to be delivered they couldn't get the custom door in before November so it was delayed until December for install when it came in the door had scuffs and paint overspray and the lock was not functioning correctly so they had to set up a repair for the door to have a team out and earliest available was in February for an appointment. The Manager I am working with and their customer service team that took my complaints have been the only saving grace for this entire debacle as I am waiting to see the final outcome of this entire process. Which started almost 8 months ago to get a door installed. Not the experience I expected for the cost of install and for the cost of product coming in damaged.

My experience with Home Depot has always been good after many years.
This last time I was looking for 2 items and stopped a very hurrying HD employee and asked where.
She was carrying lots of papers.
She not only stopped and pointed, but took me around until we found what I wanted.
I was very impressed.

The company Home Depot used to install my flooring was amazing! I’ve had quite a few different flooring installs, and this was by far the best ever. I wasn’t expecting the quality of service from them because I thought they probably just hire lots and lots of different people all the time, but this definitely changed my mind.
