Had this company out twice to “fix” our tankless water heater. Still waiting on parts as per service repairman, it’s been a couple months and still no parts or resolution. And zero communication from company. Will not recommend or use this company for service again.

I recently contacted 3 different large plumbing companies here in the Phoenix area for quote on a tankless water heater for my home. The prices were all pretty close to each other. I then received a referral to Step Up Plumbing. I could not be more thankful. Answers your phone messages immediately. He installs the top of the line tankless water heaters with the most fair price I could find. He uses state of the art highest quality equipment. Just had my water heater go out and I called one of the bigger companies well known. I called them because they had previously serviced my home when it was owned by the previous owner. They quoted me $1,000 over what Michael quoted me. Michael was on time, professional and explained to me steps I needed to take to get the moisture out of the stand where the water heater is and also to avoid mold. Total was $913 was a little bothered by the additional $15 for the handle but completely satisfied with the work and again the time available to install. Also loved that he accepts zelle made it easier for payment. Thank you will recommend to everyone.

Mike installed a tankless water heater approximately a year ago. He was reliable, professional , and on time as promised. He completed the paperwork for the warranty The tankless saved us space and has reduced our monthly power bills. I highly recommend him.

He was very knowledgeable (especially for us first time home-buyers who didn't know what we were looking at) and he helped us not only fix a leak, but he realized quickly that our installation of our water heater needed to be fixed. I sought quotes from several plumbing companies before deciding to go with Step Up Plumbing to replace my water heater. Using a licensed contractor was important to me. Michael's exceptional knowledge, professionalism and workmanship exceeded my expectations. He removed the old unit and installed the new one in less than two hours, by himself! We didn’t end up having Michael do the work because he was so proficient in determining what the previous plumber had done wrong with our electric water heaters. Not only did he consult with the manufacturer of the heaters, he also told the previous plumber what he had done wrong and without both of those things we wouldn’t be getting our $7k issue resolved at no cost to us. This is what I call honest business. Hard to find honest people in any industry anymore and I can tell you all of our future needs will be brought to him first going forward.

Michael at Step Up Plumbing was the third plumber I called to fix my Navien tankless water heater. His expertise in both plumbing and the Navien product was evident from the moment we started to communicate. Michael was able to identify the issue quickly and contacted the manufacturer. The entire unit (only 2 years old) was under warranty and the replacement was located at a nearby warehouse for same day pickup. My home has been without hot water for 7 days due to inept and deceitful plumbers. Red Eagle plumbing was inept and had no idea the entire unit was under warranty which resulted in a 5 day delay for a part that was not needed to repair the unit since the entire unit needed replaced. Parker and Sons were called on day 6 to get the unit fixed and they graciously agreed to replace the unit for a mere $9800 and could do so the same day. This company was deceitful in not mentioning the fact the tankless water heater was under warranty with no out of pocket expense to obtain the unit. This was blatant deceit on their part and I will not do business with this company again. They were 'happy' to help me out but wanted to charge for the unit which is still under warranty. I couldn't be more grateful for Michael and his company. He has saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary expense repairs. Michael is an honest and trustworthy plumber whom I am happy to refer friends and family too.

Our old water heater was close to rusting out. We decided to drop the hammer and go tankless, and all I can say is wow! It has been almost a year now. It is nice having hot water whenever and however long we need it. About a week after it was installed, we ran all three showers at the same time and nobody got cold water. My kids sometimes take very long showers; that is no longer a problem, as we will never run out of hot water. It has run flawlessly. Mike was fantastic. He was on time and very communicative about the whole process. Thanks again Mike!

Step Up Plumnbing is a rare find in the plumbing trade! The owner Mike is a wealth of knowledge! My water heater was old and couldn't keep up with the family's needs for hot showers. He was able to get my new electric water heater installed in a few hours and took the old heater away! Fast response, profesional work and his prices were far less than 5 other quotes.
Turns out the old heater was almost half full of sediment from our awful quality water. As much as I wanted a New Tankless unit, my house doesn't have gas and the electric units require a new high amperage circuit that my 75year old house just couldn't handle. I have referred Step Up plumbing to many friends and everyone has been more than happy!!

I had a Navien Tankless Water Heater installed by Michael Heppler last week to replace a leaking conventional AO Smith storage water heater. It was a pleasure working with Mike. Agreed on price over the phone (which is anyways transparent on Mike's website). He explained everything over the phone the very first time we spoke, how he was going to route the condensation line, etc. On the scheduled day (which was just 2 days after we first spoke), he arrived 20 minutes early, set up his work table, methodically planned, installed and tested the tankless, explained everything, hauled away the old heater, registered my install with Navien a day later. All-in-all, I'm glad I chose Step Up Plumbing and Michael Heppler. A 5-star for me. Attached are 2 pictures - after and before.

After our old water heater rusted out and started leaking, we decided to make the jump to a tankless. After speaking with Mike, he had us scheduled for an appointment right away. We got lucky, as he had the unit we needed on hand, and installed it in a single day. We are very pleased with our new unit, as hot water hits the bathroom on the far side of the house very quickly, and we don't have to worry about running out! The tankless unit takes up so much less space in the garage, and is much more efficient than our old one. He even took away the old water heater so we didn't have to deal with getting rid of it. A great experience overall, and would highly recommend giving Step Up Plumbing your business!
