I liked solar Sandy herself she's so nice and friendly. Except now that the system is installed they won't come look at it to set if it is running properly. My aps payment went up every month now because they have you switch to a different plan plus the panel payments, I'm paying double or triple what i was before (depending on which month). So a near zero bill that i was promised was not achieved.
(Thanks for the reply, I've asked multiple times for someone to come out and you guys logged into my aps but to no avail)
UPDATE: No one ever came out until a few years later despite my constant asking and begging. From day 1 it didn't work properly and they wanted $1500 to diagnose it. Zero stars. Waste of $45K

I had never been able to commit to solar in the past because it was too complicated - and I'm a tax accountant who generally thrives on complicated things. Solar Sandy made the process understandable from the very beginning and cut through all of the red tape, getting us up and running in less than two months. Best of all, we hardly had to do anything except sign paperwork. Solar Sandy coordinated the timing of construction, inspections, etc. with the panel provider/installer and with SRP. Now my house is very comfortable 24 x 7, and, I have fixed my costs for power into the indefinite future, no matter how many times SRP may raise utility rates. This reduces anxiety about the future, so I'm a happy camper.

I had heard Solar Sandy on the radio for a while and it made sense to investigate and see if it was worth a try. I mean, Solar in Arizona, with all of our sunshine, what could it hurt to see. I sent in my info and then she got the ball rolling. Financing wasn't an issue and the solar rebates were very nice. I checked out the solar installer on the Better Business Bureau and they were O.K. Checked them out on the web and they were rated number 3 in all of Arizona. They were very professional and made it so easy. No more APS bills. Very happy indeed.

I wish I had a better review to leave. At this time, our appointment for just a consultation has been "rescheduled" 8 times. The First time was "lost" to a new system upgrade and delayed by almost a month. Daily, it seems, we would receive an update to "we need to push you to a later time in the day" to be completely moved to another day all together. My husband and I are full time workers and doing our best to be flexible to "Sandy's needs". we were even "lucky" enough to get a direct message from Sandy herself excusing herself for double booking--again. Don't waste a minute of your time being pulled along by this unprofessional company. They are highly unorganized, un-personable and your time and energy isn't worth anything to them.

Solar Sandy has been up front with us and handled issues during the install so we did not have to. In the end the install has meet all our expectations. The energy produced looks to be in line with what Solar Sandy projected. Our experience with Solar Sandy has be all positive.

Sandy and her team is great! Even through the pandemic, Sandy was able to Facetime and deliver that in-person feel during the process. After the job was done, I asked for a pipe to be moved and she got it changed immediately. I am excited to save money with her method. Love her story, and excited to see her business grow.

We recently purchased a solar panel system from Solar Sandy (asksolarsandy.com).

We checked with several other Solar panel companies for quotes. Upon hearing Solar Sandy’s add, on 550 KFYI AM radio, we called for an appointment.

Solar Sandy’s online information assessment/spreadsheet was excellent, both comprehensive and complete.

Amy came and reviewed a proposal generated by the assessment. She did excellent job, outlining the benefits and the details of the system. Sandy, also, was available and answered our more detailed questions.

Recently, Solar Sandy’s contractor, Solean Energy, came to install the solar panel system, including software. It correlates with our Salt River Project (SRP) control meters. Teddy, and three men on his crew, completed the installation in one day. They were very competent, hard working, and positive individuals.
We are extremely pleased with their work.

We are awaiting inspection and connection of our new system with SRP and are excited to use the phone app, that gives us system data detailing our savings and the significant cost reduction of electricity from the SRP electrical bill.

We recently received email from our utility providers asking to conserve our gas, water, and electric usage. We expect utility rates to rise in the future. I appreciate Sandy's vast knowledge of solar. She made the process easy to understand and answered all of our questions. Additionally, because it is her company, she has a vested interest in how the process goes. Unlike other companies, Sandy is still available after the install too.

We had an initial consult with sandy in late May. Our questions were answered and we decided to move forward. The installer is Elevation Solar. They are skilled and knowledgeable about the process. They are also growing rapidly. This led to several miscommunications. Thankfully Sandy has close contact with them and was able to quickly resolve the issues. It was very helpful to have someone outside stay on top of them. The system was activated in mid - August. Not bad, considering all the permits and inspections that need to get done.

I’m disappointed. I feel like I was duped. I haven’t experienced the savings that I thought I would experience. My solar panels are not performing as expected.

During the sales pitch, I was shown a graph that illustrated a how the panels would give me surplus on my electric bill in the winter that would carry me through the summer months. The graph showed that I would have a much lower bill in the summer due to the credit/surplus built up during the rest of the year, and no bill in the winter due to the surplus building credit. This has not happened. I even purchased extra panels than what was recommended for the square footage of my home to ensure a surplus, especially to offset future rate increases.

Since installation over a year ago, I only had one bill that was -$1.27. Otherwise, I pay something every single month. Granted, it’s lower than what I’d pay without solar, but this wasn’t what was promised or expected. The point is, I’m still paying regardless, and more than I thought I would. A lot more. This is in addition to the monthly solar panel payment.

I fail to understand how I’m not building any surplus/credit at all during the winter months, even with extra solar panels. None! I’ve talked to people who have surplus and even one other review of Ask Solar Sandy mentions their credit during the “milder months”.

I’ve been trying to get answers from Inty Power and Ask Solar Sandy for months. Both are normally very responsive, but not lately. They have not explained why I’m not building a surplus/credit. I also question why my system appears to stop generating power randomly in the middle each day, during peak sun hours, according to my app. And one day has a completely different pattern than the next. I have gotten no answers.

The other thing that I didn’t know before investing in solar panels is that the tax rebate will never be higher than what you pay in taxes. You don’t get a 30% rebate in one lump sum! The plan was to take the tax rebate and apply it to the loan, paying down the principal before the no-interest promo period expired, thus keeping the payments low. I was shocked that I only got back a portion of this rebate, and had to scramble figure out what to do to keep 18 months of interest from being added to the loan, doubling my payment. Buyer Beware.

I gave Ask Solar Sandy 2 stars because the solar panels were installed in a timely manner and we had great customer service in the beginning. We are also experiencing some benefit to having the panels, even if they are not performing as expected. I can’t give any higher due to being misinformed about the tax rebate, due to the underperformance of the panels, and lack of explanation or remedy.

I have been very skeptical with buying solar power for my home and family. Many times when companies have knocked on our door to get solar power I turned them away because they could not answer a lot of my questions. When I met Solar Sandy not only is she beautiful sweet and kind but she answered all my questions other solar companies could not answer for me. She was very patient and professional with helping me understand the concept of solar power and all the benefits it provides. UPDATE: Sandy instructed me, that In order for her to fulfill her contractual promise to pay my solar payments, I would have to give her a review on Google and the Better Business Bureau.
Its now been over 4 weeks and we have not received the payment. I have left her several voice mails and texts inquiring about the status of my solar payments, to which she has not responded.
