Landscaping reviews in Phoenix, Arizona

After interviewing 5 companies to have their arborists come to my home to give me a bid on feeding my 45 trees and bushes. Eric from A to Z Tree & Turf was the last bid i received. Eric knew so much more than everyone else, and his price was thousands cheaper! After 1 week of doing the job, i already see the improvements all around my property. Eric even took the time to teach my general maintenance guy on how to care for all my trees and bushes. Eric went way beyond the call of what he was supposed to do at my property, doing more than what i bargained for. I had to force him to take a well deserved tip. This company is as honest as they come. Thank you A to Z Tree & Turf!

Can’t say enough great things about my first experience with these guys. Great communication and great service involving an install of some trees and plants and solving a whole host of other issues with my landscaping in general. True pros. Special thanks to Eric and Justin for all their great advice.

A to Z gets a 10 out of 10. Personable staff across the board, lots of attention to detail, and Justin is the best of project managers. In 3 days we went from a wall on the side of our house to a 10-foot tall 40-foot long hedge. The whole back yard is lush and wonderful.

This is a team of true experts and professionals!
From our first engagement with the office, we were treated with great courtesy, rapid response times and helpful information/guidance.
Our project manager, Justin, was the epitome of professionalism. He was knowledgeable, responsive, gracious, and accommodating.
The installation team led by Esteban, was terrifically, hard-working, fast, courteous, and tidy. The other installation team member Gonzalo was similarly hard-working and kind.
Eric, the plant health expert, guided us with exceptional knowledge and like the rest of the team was hard-working and and impossibly kind.
We look forward to our ongoing engagement with a truly fantastic team. -
I cannot begin to rave about how pleased We are with Riley and her crew. We had a very strict budget due to the fact we are renters and didn’t want to put a lot into a home that we didn’t out right own. We had other companies come out and we were not satisfied. A to Z Tree and Turf was our last estimate…Riley took the time to listen to our wants and the budget we had. She didn’t try to discourage me with the limitations (like the others had) and she gave me options, answered all my silly questions, and just made it feel like I was talking to a family friend on a Home improvement project. Riley was also quick to get back to me on the final cost, picking out the boarder and setting up times to get the work started. I was shocked when her guys arrived 10 minutes early with Riley each day as construction began. She assigned her crew their duties and they were quick and cleaned up after they were done! (Day 1 was prep, Day 2 was install) both were half days…. and OMG!!! They were so quick and efficient. There was an old sprinkler system that they removed and replace a single sprinkler to cover the entire back yard. I could go on and on about how much I enjoyed working with Riley and her men. The turf looks absolutely fabulous and we can’t wait to hold our first BBQ in the back yard. I would honestly look no further if you are wanting turf in your yard. Call Riley! She is amazing!!!!

Justin, Dustin and their crew were amazing. They were excellent about listening to us and offering ideas. They were always timely and paid attention to detail. We had very high expectations for our project, which was extensive, and they exceeded our expectations! Our yard is beautiful and they were great to work with!

I love roaming around Whitfill. It was perfect going from the shaded tree areas into the sunny aisles. Your plants are very healthy and you offer so many choices. Everyone is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Today we came in from 91st Ave and Thunderbird. Oh, and I can't forget your animals. Goats, feral cats (that love being petted-thats a first), peacocks and parrots.

A great variety. We got a ponytail palm and an elephant bush. Very nice plants!

I'm pretty sure this is the happiest place on earth. Our first trip couldn't have been more enchanting. We will be back again and again!

I have never been to a Nursery so BIG.
WOW great job. And cool birds too. -
What a great place to find plants, bushes, trees, flowers, and herbs. I enjoy walking around and hunting for beautiful flowers 💐 to take home. Helpful and friendly staff. If you're lucky, you can see the beautiful peacocks 🦚 walking around, too.

Great selection. Prices seemed fair and the associates were nice. They have peacocks, parrots and goats on the property. Restroom was clean. Worth the trip.

On the recommendation of a friend, I visited Whitfill's in North Phoenix about a week ago. I have been on a hunt for some nice-looking pots. Most places I had been to had just a few colors (white, blue, terracotta), but as I drove by last week, I saw an array of colorful pots. Taking that friend's advice, I went back and was not disappointed. I purchased three pots, and the staff could not have been more helpful. Bonus points for their ability to deliver, which I have discovered is not commonplace. Frank walked the pot area with me and tagged everything for delivery.
Knowing they soon would be delivering my pots, I thought now was the time to purchase the shade tree I have been wanting. So, today I went back to Whitfill's. Billy took me around the lot and gave me some great advice. After talking with him, I decided against my original plan and went with a different tree.
Aside from what appears to be a genuine willingness to help their customers, they appear to be a full-service nursery, as when they deliver everything, they are going to plant the tree and the one vine I purchased. Knowing it will be done right and that they stand behind their product/work is reassuring.
They have an incredible selection of flowers, potted plants, vegetables, herbs, and succulents. They appear to have it all, plus everything you need to plant and maintain your garden.
I have not had great luck in the past with a number of nurseries, but I think I have found a winner! And, based on the number of people that were there today, so have others. -
There's a Jeep on a container...
Beautiful, surprisingly big nursery. Go admire the garden & ask deep questions with the birds in the back 🙂 -
Thank Goodness for old fashioned manners and kindness. Brian helped me over the phone on his cell phone with my mesquite tree. Turns out it's fine and everyone else wanted $400 to just come look. Those were pics I sent him and he told me exactly what to do. Tree pushed out growth in a snap. Shop Whitfills!

Great help. This is not a Home depot or Lowes. (in a good way). Great selection. All the plants are healthy and ready to go in the ground. Lots of very fun yard decoration options too. Live birds on the grounds.

Not one single person said hello to us, we walked the Christmas trees for awhile and no one spoke.
Went down the street to the BOY SCOUTS ON 12th St & Northern and was greeted at my car, walked around and picked a 7ft Noble for 95.00. Whitfield charges 195 for that.
