Whitfill Nurseries are always a joy when shopping for plants, but they are amazing at the holidays. I'm afraid I'll seem like a commercial here, but this is an amazing place to get plants for gifts, poinsettias for decorating, or a HEALTHY live Christmas tree.
Don't hesitate to bring your kids, as there are parrots and peacocks to see. Even dogs are welcome and enjoyed.

One of the sale associates was aloof and clearly only interested in the cultivation of catnip, but the other was super helpful and knowledgeable. When I asked where the ponytail Palms were, they knew, which was impressive because of the wide selection of indoor and outdoor plants. The birds were a fascinating and welcome surprise that made it feel like you could make this spot an adventure for small children. I had a lovely time and would absolutely return.

To be clear, the sales associates were cats. And I love them.

On Tuesday October 24th I walked into Whitfill Nursery on Southern looking for a very large tree and I needed it quickly. Hugo and Brian helped me with a 72” box Live Oak and had it planted two days later.
The tree and Whitfill exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

I love coming to this nursery over the weekend with a cup of coffee, browsing around beautiful lush plants and picking up new plants for my garden. They always have very healthy starter plants as well as a whole section of indoor plants in a separate area.

The indoor plant area is in a separate shed and is inhabited by a couple of lovely cats as well as beautiful parrots who are always fun to interact with.

They also have peacocks in the back nursery area. The selection of outdoor yard plants here this is amazing and I was able to landscape my backyard and front yard with fully mature Palm varieties acquired from this nursery.

The staff is super helpful and the plants themselves are always healthy. I highly recommend this nursery if you are a plant lover.

Im from Oklahoma and I saw this place years ago. I always say how beautiful it looks from the street but I kill everything I touch. Then I decided to try and save a succulent from a dollar store3 months ago.I fell in love and it's not dead. I'm obsessed now. I found 4 of my bucket list succulents here in the 2" & 4" pots. so they were a very decent price and healthy looking. I'm still new but I love the vibrant color succulents and echeverias. I'm very happy with my first visit and there were so many more I'd like to have as well. FYI this place is even more beautiful inside.

We met with a knowledgeable salesman that helped us pick the right tree for the space we wanted and was very helpful

Lots and Lots of healthy trees and plants. Is a nice place to just walk around and browse too with all the birds. I didn't find what I needed today in the fruit trees, but I did get some cute house plants. ☺

Looks like a pretty nice place, I really only bought pumpkins and various Garden Seeds here over the years. It's very extensive it is much bigger than it looks. Sometimes you get staff members were very helpful and know what they're doing and sometimes you don't. Seems pretty normal

Absolutely gigantic - selection is excellent and the staff is super helpful too! Fun to see the peacocks and other birdies while shopping for plants.

Thought was cute until I saw the parrot picking at its feathers. Reported it to arizona humane society, hope something gets done because that’s disappointing.

Why do they have birds? If they cannot take care of them? I have parrots and I can say that these poor birds are very stressed, they are not social and they are there in the cage inside the humidity for how long? saw some previous images and for now they no longer have feathers and that means they are very unhappy. Many people in there and not body do nothing

This place is really cool. It's a bit cheaper than other nurseries that we've been to, but obviously not as cheap as a home improvement store. But let's be honest, any nursery is going to have superior plants to what you get at a home improvement store. Even if you aren't looking for anything in particular, if the weather is nice, check this place out. I wish I could bring a picnic here.

Worst service at a nursery ever. Say they don’t have stuff they have because they don’t want to make an effort. Register is outside in the sun and they like to make you wait in the Sun for no reason.

Whitfill planted my lemon tree. I went out to make sure the root ball was exposed, and asked them twice to make sure that was the case. The lemons were on the tree.

After they left, I went back out and every single lemon that had been on the tree was on the ground and crushed.

I called to let Whitfill know and they said “That’s crazy. I don’t believe my team would do that. We have too many lemons, you can pick all the lemons from our trees you want.”

Well, they did. I don’t think they realize the quality of service is the concern, I’m not looking for “free lemons.”

I won’t be returning here for the rest of my landscape renovations.

I love this place. My fruit trees are 30+ years old and still producing. Grapefruit, naval oranges and tangelos. Amazing fruit.

I loved all the plants. They had peacocks and peahens. we ended up meeting their two cats. Which are super fluffy ❤️. These are some of the plants I got. Hope you all enjoy and check out this nursery.

The Phoenix landmark is the best! We have been dealing with Brian and his gracious family for 37 years.

I visited the whitfill's in search of house plants. The nursery is filled with many great indoor and outdoor choices. The greenhouse was amazing. I was delighted to see the variety of plants. They were all well-kept and appealing. And to my surprise, Ms. Rebecca Whitfill graciously invited me to tour the nursery!! 😃Can you feel my excitement?? As we rode the grounds, she showed me a variety of trees and landscaping needs. Ms. Rebecca also shared the history of the nursery. What a treat! So adorable and friendly.

All of the staff were friendly and willing to assist in any way. It was definitely a great experience.

    Accessible entrance.

Frank at the Glendale Ave office did a great job recommending trees and shrubs for our yard. Mark and his crew did a beautiful and efficient job getting everything planted. Our yard looks great!

I’ve fallen in love with Whitfill.
The area is HUGE with so many different selections. This is a great place to bring your pup or kids and just spend sometime and enjoy what Mother Nature has to offer. Amazing customer service and lovely peacocks, love birds and parrots!
They also have a huge selection of garden herbs and veggies along with a really cool houseplant greenhouse 💚
