I was just quoted $59,000 to fix my water line, only to find a way to fix it for $2,000 with another plumber.

They did not take the time for figure out the best way to fix it, they went straight for the most expensive.

The two people that worked on this way Jeff Beckham and Tim Jones with Roto Rooter.

TOTAL SCAM... There is no way these 1,278 reviews are real.

Terrible experience. We scheduled an appointment for a clogged toilet ( we have 2 in our house). The tech showed up and visually inspected both toilets and said they were both working and we needed to use less toilet paper. He then proceeded to write an estimate for a flapper repair on the working toilet for $400.00. He never inspected the drain or sewer line. I got a call about an hour after he left from their dispatch and said they would like to have another tech come out and camera the lines. I was told he would be there within an hour...3 hours later when no one showed up I called them back and was told the other tech was delayed with no ETA. PLEASE HIRE A REAL PLUMBER...these guys are trash.

Update: 9/2/2025 Followed the response from the owner and sent an email to the email provided in his response to my review I immediately got an "out of office" reply.

That tells me his responses to reviews are AI generated. Again the complete lack of service from this company is stunning but at least now I know it starts from the top.

Very thorough service, was given reasonable quotes with straightforward info on what was necessary and not, as well as info that I didn't before know on the house. Mason was friendly and a very knowledgeable technician

Would you like your workday disrupted, your towels ruined, and your washing machine broken? Then you should definitely call Roto-Rooter.

We specifically scheduled service in the afternoon to avoid conflicts with an important work meeting that could not be disrupted. Day of, Rotor-Rooter calls to shift it to morning, saying the tech was already in the area. We made clear that if it was shifted earlier that the tech NEEDED to be wrapped up by 11 and were assured that he was on his way. An hour passed, and then another. We called back, reiterating the 11am cut-off time, and were again assured he was on his way. Spoiler alert: he wasn't. He arrived after 11am, causing the major work disruption we wanted to avoid.

He set to snaking out the drain to our washing machine. He brought in a hose to fill the washing machine with water and somehow managed to spill water all over the laundry room. Our son grabbed towels to clean up the mess. It couldn't have been just water that was spilled, however, because even after two washes the towels had a harsh chemical smell. We ended up having to throw them away.

And then the washing machine, which was working perfectly fine until the tech touched it, suddenly did not work. He took no responsibility, saying it was an electrical issue, not a plumbing issue. Of course, there was no electrical issue before he splashed water around the laundry room.

Our guess is that water got into the electronics. We rolled the dice on the hope that letting the machine dry out for a couple of days would resolve the issue. Thank God it did.

All we wanted was a routine cleaning of our washing machine drain. That's it. Seemed simple enough. Instead work was interrupted, towels were ruined, and we weren't able to do laundry until the machine dried out.

The first and last time I'll ever use Rotor-Rooter.

Cesar and his team did amazing, worked around the clock even on the weekends to get our place done as quick as possible. Very clear communication from him and his team. Overall very happy and impressive crew and would recommend them to anyone!

Mason was very knowledgeable and Tommy very helpful. They came the same day I called and were able to diagnose the problem and fix it

Mason from Roto Rooter came out and found the clean out in front of the house where as all the previous plumbers that have come out before kept saying there was no clean out but they just didn’t want to really look for it. Mason actually searched for it and dug it out underneath the gravel in front of the house. He’s very professional and polite. Hard to find contractors like that these days.

Roto Rooter found an illegal pipe in the ground at our mobile home park and saved us from having to pay to dig it out. Mason was amazing and even assisted in dealing with the mobile home management team here in Mesa.

Mason from Roto-Rooter came in and fixed a very simple problem we were having! I highly suggest using them for any of your quick plumbing services.

Mason was a great tech. Quick, curtious and cleaned up everything nicely after. We got a drain clean in our shower and they did a great job

Mason was awesome and we would highly recommend Roto-Rooter! He honored the warranty and came back to clear drains that were clogged with dental floss. Whatever you do, do not flush floss down the toilet! Mason gives great advice too. We would use him again, but hopefully we won't need to!

Mason and his team came out on Christmas Eve to fix our mainline pipe after another plumber came out twice and failed to solve problem. They were professional and great!

My schedule was 4-6 PM and the technician showed up by 8 PM.
I was advised the inspection was free and at the technician was expert in sewer issues not in the water leak that I have therefore he use the camera and charge me $510 without fixing the problem!!! I don’t recommend to anyone!

We are thrilled with the work Roto-Rooter did. Mason was the third plumber we called for our issue and the only one who could solve our problem. Well worth the money!

After my warranty company sent out the B team plumber who actually made my problem worse and didn’t have the equipment or experience needed, I contacted Roto Rooter at the advice of a family friend. Mason came out and did an excellent job, having all of the right equipment and gave me multiple options to fit within budget. My problem was resolved and I will always use Roto Router in the future. Mason is very knowledgeable and helpful i felt comfortable with the explanation of issues we had. And appreciate the extra effort from him! We also are working with Ashley for cleanup and repairs very knowledgeable and helpful as well.

I have been plagued by a continuously clogging kitchen sink for almost a year and nothing we did or had done was working. One call from roto-rooter we had it cleared!! Mason came right out, within an hour of my call, and was able to get everything running like new again!! He was professional, knowledgeable and extremely kind. Couldn't be happier and with as much as I cook and clean and use that sink I can honestly say they have improved my quality of life! Thank you guys so much!
