I was assigned CNJ through my home warranty company. Had the warranty for 18 years and you never know what you are going to get as they assign you contractors randomly. I can say this company was responsive and flexible with scheduling. I did have some out of pocket costs that was not covered by the home warranty and they are reasonably priced. I am saving their info in case I need a plumber outside of my home warranty. Thank you!

If I had a choice I wouldn't even give this company one star. It sounds like this company is famous for telling our home warranty company MODIFICATION. I'm sorry unscrewing a valve and replacing it with a new one is not a modification. We had a leak at the washer machine valve, the guy didn't even take it apart, he just looked at it. He had no idea the man he was talking to, my husband use to own a water management company and fix leaks for an entire town. The only reason my husband didn't do it himself was because he was too busy at work. I posted a picture of what they where called out to fix and tried to charge us an extra $145.00 by telling us and the warranty company it was a modification. Im sorry using a flat head to unscrew the old valve and replace it with a new one, is not a modification. I purchased the part on Amazon for $34.00 and replaced it myself. Homeshield you should really listen to your customers as well as read these complaint's and stop using this company..

This was one of the worst services we had so far. We had a technician come from CNJ through AHS to replace a kitchen faucet. The original faucet which was placed firmly had started to leak some water AFTER SEVERAL YEARS hence the need for replacement. However, this CNJ plumber replaced the nrw one in less than 15 minutes. I realized after he replaced, that it was very SHAKY and unstable. Before he left I called him back and asked 'why is it shaky? Our previous faucet was very firm." He said that's fine it's normal to be like that. NO IT IS NOT normal! It has been shaking ever since CNJ replaced it and not the stand on which faucet sits is also shaky and NOW starting to leak water only after 3-4 months. We are very frustrated with this poor service and need a response. This is poor workmanship and despite me going back and asking him about it he dismissed it saying it was normal. Now are we supposed to call technicians again to fix a loose, poorly placed faucet when it should have been done properly the first time? CNJ plumbing, please do better and have a better technician come do it right.

I have no idea how this company is still in business and they do not deserve even one star. My home warranty company contracted them to go out to my properties. Overall the staff was very unprofessional and unreliable so do not waste your time. I highly advise going with anther plumbing company as there are plenty out there. The wife and receptionist was extremely rude over the phone after being asked basic questions about the job. She is an emotional disaster and made it crystal clear that CNJ Services does not value customer service in the slightest bit.

I called my home warranty company because of an old leaking faucet and they set up an appointment with CNJ.

The plumber arrives and tells me it needs to be replaced but that it needed to be rescheduled for a later day. I told him thanks but no thanks because I didn't want to keep wasting water and asked me for the trip charge of $60.

The plumber was there for about 5 minutes. I understand why companies charge a trip charge but $60 is ridiculous when nothing was done because they need to reschedule. I told him no and he said that fine, please sign here. I didn't think much of it but talk about sneaky.

Today I called my home warranty for another issue and my account is suspended because CNJ charged them the trip charge. I don't but you all but that's a good half a day's work for me down the drain for nothing done. What a rip-off!

Richard came to our home to address a leak and he was absolutely wonderful. He took the time to explain everything and was very kind and helpful. We are very happy to have had our home warranty (AHS) send him here today. Thank you Richard and CNJ plumbing!

Dishonest company or incompetent, one of the two.

Sent by my home warranty company for a simple shower valve replacement. Brandon says they do them all the time. I get a call back from CNJ Services the following day saying the work is approved through AHS and "all I have is a $375 out of pocket cost" due to modifications. I already paid AHS $100 for the service call where CNJ Services did absolutely NOTHING other than spend a couple minutes looking at it.

I called another plumber and he came and looked at it and said it is only $150 total to replace the valve including the new valve. There are no modifications required according to the honest plumber that gave me an second opinion and is doing the work.

If you read their reviews, tons of complaints about being overcharged for "modifications" when no modifications are required or performed. It would have cost me nearly $500 for a "warranty claim" and being scammed by CNJ Services and AHS. I'm still out the $100 "service call" fee and no work was performed other than an attempted scam job by this company.

The repair man left before the job was finished. Asked for credit card number before he started and said there was a $100.00 charge for coming out. When he left he said it would be another $100.00
charge for him to return to finish the job. I have the extra coverage on my house for smaller jobs like this. Don't ever hire CNJ Plumbing Services on Melinda Lane in Phoenix for anything. Not only that but the repairman was extremely rude. You don't stay in business by being rude to customers.

Kyle was here yesterday and today on a service request through our warranty company for our water heater. He was easy to work with and took care in making sure he got the job done to his level of expertise. It was nice to feel like the customer is valued and that somebody wasn’t just in it for your dollar

CNJ was a third party vendor through Loews that came out to replace my water heater. After two days of working with overpriced and not very motivated local plumbers, this was a success. Diego from CNJ showed up on time and masked up immediately. Diego introduced himself, and explained what he was going to do and approximately how long it would take. Diego then explained how the new system worked and made recommendations on how to maintain the drum. He was friendly efficient, and thorough. Great customer service that won him a new customer. Thank you!

They came to my house twice through my home warranty to make a simple plumbing repair. They made it WORSE. First time the pipe stopped leaking for 2.5 weeks; 2nd time the "plumber" put glue in the pipe, which after three days exploded and flooded my bathroom. I had to pay, out of pocket, for an emergency plumber to come out and repair it because this company doesn't have emergency plumbers available. I truly don't think the 2nd person they sent had any plumbing experience at all

We bought a new hot-rod commode and these are the folks the store choose for the delivery and installation. Got a call from a real polite gentleman at CNJ that same day and they gave me a 10am to 1pm window for the very next day. As 10am approached the company made where I could easily track the technicians location and the likely time of arrival. It worked perfectly. Arrived at 10:20am. The tech himself was cordial, well informed and very quick. This is the first time I've ever experienced such a flawless performance from delivery/install folks. I'd recommend CNJ plumbing to anyone. Just sorry I didn't get the plumbers name so I could mention him in this post.

The comments here are brutal, i'm glad to say I didn't have such a terrible experience with my water heater replacement. i had read the reviews before I made the call and was pretty skeptical but thought I'd at least give them a shot since they were contracted with my home warranty AHS.
Karen in the office was responsive and good to talk to, and the technician Vince was knowledgeable and good to work with as well. Vince came out and installed a new one and no problems with it so far. I had a pretty basic case though, electric 50 gallon tank with no water damage to surroundings so maybe that had something to do with it. I would have rated 5 stars but the installation cost seemed too high, but they were contracted through the home warranty company and I didnt want to deal with trying to switch all that around. At this point, as long as they got the job done and done well I was okay with slightly overpaying for installation if it came to that. So far so good! Hopefully the new one holds out for a while.

I was assigned CNJ Services through American Home Shield for a Toilet repair. Upon speaking with CNJ services they assured me they would send a tech to fix my issue. The technician arrived later in the day. He had a "dry" personality and was in my house for about 1 minute and took a few photos of my toilet. He advised me i needed a new toilet and would be about $450.00 in addition to the $100.00 service fee i paid. He did not attempt to even fix the issue or give me any other options.

I then consulted with a local licensed hanyman who came 2 hours later and repaired my toilet for $75.00 including parts and labor and completed the job in 20 mins. I cant understand how AHS could partner with such a company that lacks customer service and tries to nickle and dime their customers. The 3 star reviews speak for itself.

Just had Brandon from CNJ Services come out since that is who our home warranty company American Home Shield contracted with to replace our water heater. Brandon was on time and did an amazing job replacing everything that needed to be replaced. Such a friendly guy, I like the fact that he didn't seem bothered by having lite conversations with me. I would definitely recommend CNJ to anyone who needs plumbing needs. The finished project looks better than it was before. Thanks Brandon.

From the moment of my initial contact with customer service till the installation, it was an AWESOME experience for me. CNJ really understands customer service and makes sure you, the customer, is satisfied. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. Although one never wants to have a plumbing issue, like my water heater replacement, dealing with nice folks makes the misery somehow enjoyable. Job well done CNJ team. Many thanks!

They called me the morning of my appointment asking if they could come early. I was actually able to make that happen. So George came. He was very thorough and checked everything. My home warranty sent some real unprofessional companies in the past. CNJ Services is not one of them. George explained everything to me fully and showed me on his leak detection meter. The plumbers the home warranty sent before that were in the house a total of 6 mins. George took his time to actually help me figure out what was going on. Then the office got me the paperwork I needed to send to my homeowners insurance. CNJ will be back out to actually fix the issue once I get the wall opened up for them to do so.

American Home Shield sent this company to check out our leaking water heater. The so called tech took pictures of the water & electrical lines & informed us there’s probably gonna be additional costs. My husband questioned him on what costs. He said there’d be modifications that would be needed in order to install the new water heater. My husband who’s late father was a plumber, told him there was no modifications needed. AHS sided with this unscrupulous company & it would be $853.00 out of pocket. We had no choice but to take the lowball cash out from AHS & told CNJ they are nothing but a scam & we’ll be spreading the word to anyone and everyone. Looking at their reviews it’s obvious they use unnecessary modifications as part of their scam.

WARNING, WARNING!!!!! Total scam business and have the same story as many other reviews from American Home Shield warranty customer claims. CNJ was the assigned contractor for my recirculating hot water pump replacement. CNJ came out and confirmed it needed replacement under my home warranty plan. I have a water softener located in front of my water recirculating pump. There are 2 quick release fittings and 2 shut off valves that took me a total of 3 minutes to disconnect the first time I had to move them about 1 foot to the side to access my water heater. The second time I did it it took me under 2 minutes to disconnect and another 2 minutes to reconnect and thats including sliding the water softener 1 foot over to gain better access to pump and heater. I was told by my warranty company that the repair was covered but had $2,524 worth of additional work that was not covered to gain access to my water pump. I have made 5-6 calls to American Home Shield to discuss the bogus charges and have yet to get a call back from them as well. CNJ then marked the job as a completed repair to the Home Warranty Company so I wound up paying $800 out of pocket to a reputable plumbing company to replace my recirculating pump for what was actually a covered repair until CNJ screwed that up. Also there was no upcharge for the 2 minutes it took the plumber to disconnect and move the water softener over 1 foot.

Absolute scam artists. Here is what happens, your home warranty company sends out the cheapest company available. They come out, and say your water heater needs replacement. C N J Services calls you back a few days later to say there is additional fees that the warranty company doesn’t cover. $600 additional out of pocket. So here’s their play. Quote the real job super low($285 in parts and $110 in labor) so the warranty company approves it but then has $600 in “modifications” that need to be made that are not covered.

I’m no plumber but was able to install it myself in 1.5 hours with a Home Depot run. I under stand that not everyone has the ability to do that so here is my advice. If your home warranty company tries to send these guys out:

CALL AND REQUEST A DIFFERENT COMPANY.

You are allowed to do that. Do not let these people come screw you out of money.

CNJ Home Services was sent to my home from my home warranty company. The technician was very friendly and professional. I had a leaking shower valve, according to him simple fix they do all the time. After 5-10 mins he determined that he couldn't remove the cartridge and now needs to replace the entire valve. Again no problem, simple fix we do it all the time. I get a call later on telling me that I needed to pay them an additional $175 for all of the modification they needed to make to complete the repair. I called to speak to them to get more clarification and spoke to two different managers. One was extremely rude and hung up on me merely because I asked questions about the situation. The second who said he was the general manager called me a "liar" for telling him the conversation his technician had with me. Customer service is non existent, it appears they are trying to pad the bill at the customers expense. BUYER BEWARE!!!! If you read through the reviews you will see the pattern.
