These guys are great! The schedulers are friendly, knowledgeable and very accommodating. The techs are personable and highly skilled at their trade. In this case John was here on the dot to take care of a plumbing leak, which he did with no muss or fuss. I highly recommend AC BY J for all your AC, plumbing and electrical needs.

Had insulation added to try to manage my air conditioning costs. Victor was a very personable and professional technician. The job was done quickly with very little noise or discomfort. Very clean process and now my AC is not running so hard to keep the house cool.

I recently had a severe plumbing problem in my 1964, mid century townhome in downtown Scottsdale. AC by J was fast and extremely professional about fixing the problem. I absolutely recommend AC by J!

Special call out to Todd, Tyler and particularly, to McKinley. These gentleman worked so hard to fix my plumbing issue, which was a collapsed sewage discharge pipe, under the cement slab that is the foundation of my place.

Both Todd and McKinley took the time to explain to me slowly and in detail, what they were doing every step of the process, which took several days. I REALLY appreciated that, allowing me to always feel like I fully understood what was going on.

I wanted to let y’all know how great Sean was at cleaning my entire hvac today! He was super thorough and took his time to do the absolute best job that he could, and the end result was a new looking hvac which he proudly showed me. Very happy customer right here and from now on I would like Sean to perform that service anytime I need it. My name is Thomas.

I scheduled a service appointment through their AI system, which was surprisingly thorough and confirmed my booking for three days later. But when the appointment day came, the actual team had no record of it. They eventually arranged for Derrick Long to come out at the end of his shift — which I appreciated — but his only recommendation was to replace both HVAC units and sign up for a service agreement.

A service agreement? After they botched the very first appointment? And pushing new equipment right away? That felt insulting.

I got a second opinion from another company — they quickly found the issue: critters had chewed through thermostat wires. Simple, inexpensive fix. No need for new units. Just solid diagnostics.

Bottom line: AC by Jay relied too heavily on their tech, dropped the ball on communication, and went straight to upsell instead of solving the actual problem. I won’t be using them again.

I found the scheduling process efficient & was notified as technician headed my way. Since it was my first experience with AC by J, he explained all that he would do in order. He kept me up to date and advised along the way, including pictures. Once his inspections were complete, he covered all of his findings and recommendations. I am very pleased with the service I received and the information shared. I feel it was good value.

Over the past three or four decades, I have lived in this home, I’ve had probably close to a dozen plumbers from different companies Come out to try and clear the drain line from my washer, with varying degrees of success. Then AC By J sent me a Mikey!!!
Mikey knew exactly what he was doing, in stunning contrast to all his preceding colleagues from other companies. He diagnosed the exact location of the problem, reconciled all issues, and quoted me a competitive price on a permanent fix.
Also, when Mikey and his journeyman came out, they had sharp looking maroon uniform shirts on. No biggie, but just so much classier than the normal gray or blue uniforms most technicians come out with. Looking sharp sure doesn’t lose you any points and makes a very professional image.
Mikey was a consummate professional, personable, competent, and expeditious. Now that I know their is such a thing as a “Mikey”I wouldn’t use anyone else for my Plumbing!

Got my thermostat installed, app downloaded on my phone and I'll be able to control the temperature in my house from most anywhere in the world. Amazed and thrilled with the technology available. Michael was the best!! Knowledgeable, patient, and answered all my questions.

CHARLIE and his team worked around the clock, from sun up to literally sun down to get our AC replaced. CHARLIE and his team were professional, diligent, and thorough. After completing an all day install, he then walked me through the new system, asked if I had any questions, and let me know what the follow-up would be like.

Which then lead me to

RYAN stopping by a few days later for quality assurance and an inspection on our plumbing system. After finding a part needed to be replaced on our water heater and that he didn’t have the necessary item, he drove to procure the item needed. When the supply location RYAN stopped at didn’t have the part either, he continued his quest to find this elusive anode rod. RYAN returned victoriously and installed the rod and was on his way.

Cannot thank you all enough. CALEB, LESLIE, CHARLIE, RYAN, et al. Incredible folks.

Mike was very kind and professional. The service was done as promised. He and his team arrived when they said they would. Our AC was failing, and until they could replace the unit, Paul put in freon to keep the unit going until the scheduled replacement date. He came out of his way on a Friday night, and we very much appreciated it. I highly recommend this company.

I am very pleased with my excellent service from AC by J! They stepped in and fixed a bunch of problems with my HVAC system, that were caused by another company that is either gravely incompetent or a con job operation to charge customers more money. Mario from AC by J was incredible! He was knowledgeable, thorough, very polite, respectful, and professional! He was not going to leave until everything was working properly and tested unlike the other company that just rushed through things and failed to properly purge and test their work before leaving. Mario had a big job on his hands and spent a lot of time troubleshooting and then replacing several parts that were thankfully covered under manufacturer warranty. They didn’t even charge me for their labor even though they were not the original company that installed the 1 and a half year old unit and previously serviced it causing the problems! They are very honest, fair and skilled company, who now has a new customer. I will not hesitate to recommend them to others! Thanks so much AC by J!

Had a great experience with AC by J—Kyle Reynolds was the technician who came out, and I couldn’t be more impressed. He was on time, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. Took the time to explain everything clearly, answered any and all questions I had and got everything done efficiently. Highly recommend both the company and Kyle for anyone needing HVAC service!

Ian installed two bathroom exhaust fans at our house. One was in a bathroom that did not have a fan previously. He did a great job and was friendly and professional.

Ordered just a simple service appointment for a check up on my AC, they scheduled it a few weeks out which is fine because my unit is running fine. Day of appointment they called and canceled my appointment & rescheduled. I called to see today what was the date 07/11/2025 and they said looks like they don’t have me on the schedule but they can put me on the schedule for August 12 another month from now. Just a heads up for anyone looking for service in the Scottsdale area I usually don’t leave reviews, but this was just a little unprofessional for me. I understand the business model, though as they want customers who have issues with their AC because they possibly can make more money from that, but if you just need service be aware.

Brandon was a good plumber to have doing our shower valve replacement. He was easy to work with and does high quality work.

First time I used AC by J and was extremely impressed. The company should be very proud to have Michael, our technician, represent them. He was highly skilled, very personable and thorough. I highly recommend using AC by J and if you can request Michael!

We have been using AC by J for years. Great company! Just had to replace one of our AC units and are very pleased with the process, installation and price is in line with competitors. One down one to go!

They used to be great, Not so much anymore. The last year AJ by J have merged with another company. Since then scheduling has been a problem. A regular service appointment has been rescheduled several times. Every service guy found something that the service tech should have found before. (e.g. our return had not been cleaned in years, despite getting services every 6 months) We ended up with a different company that showed us all the things that have never been serviced.
