Nick came out to fix out washing machine drain line and unclogged it for me.

The gentleman Nick that came to my house today to install a refrigerator line for a new refrigerator I was purchasing show me that I had a really unsafe and dangerous water heater situation and he went above and beyond and fix the whole thing put all new pipes everything help me move my refrigerators because I couldn't possibly move them by myself and I was so grateful for this company and for this gentleman Nick and his helper they went above and beyond let me say that again . Cactus plumbing ,Nick & his helper thank you very much and God bless you all.

My direct vent water heater, that was installed in my 2-story house when it was constructed in 2006, started leaking from the bottom on April 7, 2025. The unit is on a platform in the garage that was sheet rocked and painted (why the builders did this is beyond me, as once the leak started it damage the sheetrock). I called a couple companies to get quotes, one of which came out and almost started work and actually detailed verbally what they would do, which included a drip pan so that any potential leaks in the future would not damage the sheetrock. I contacted Cactus Plumbing to get a quote, and provided information on a replacement unit that I got from the manufacturer. Anyway, they agreed to match one of the other companies quote and said they could get the new one installed that afternoon, so I said sure and had them come out. My mistake was not asking for a detailed plan of what they would do. They were prompt and got the job done quickly, so I give them 5 stars for that. But unfortunately, they did not install a drip pan: I made an erroneous assumption that they would install one, like the other company had proposed--dumb of me. Also, there is a metal post in front of the corner of the platform to prevent cars from damaging the water heater. After they left I noticed the brand new water heater had a couple dents in it, I am sure from the metal post as they tried to get the unit in place. Also the unit is at a slight tilt (5 inches from the outside wall on the bottom and 6 inches away from the wall at the top). I am guessing this was caused during the install and one side of the wet sheetrock got depressed more than the other. I am not sure how much this matters, but I don't like the look of it. Plus I found a large red o-ring to the side of and at the bottom of the new unit, which I am guessing came from the old unit. They were ready to leave and I looked outside and saw the old vent and plastic on the ground, which they then picked up. Plus the venting on the outside was not screwed in all the way, so they did so.

They gave me an electronic receipt, but no warranty for their work, so I guess I am SOL after paying them a few thousand dollars. Again, this is my fault for not asking about a work warranty up front. So, in the end, I cannot recommend this company.
