Be careful and get all promises in writing. I was told my awning was covered for a roofing estimate, only to be told they don’t do awnings. No refund of the price I paid even though they didn’t do what I was told they would. Tried to help veterans by using this company, but you’re probably better going with someone else who keeps their word

Hi there everyone, not sure how this company has 5 stars.
My gf and I just bought our first house and are trying our best to make the best future for us in this hard economy. But I've come to find out that this company took us for a ride on the price we were charged for our solar.

(TLDR: Semper Price price gouged me and my GF for their solar
Semper Solaris Solar Price $42,000 other companies $25,000 for with more panels. Investigating the BBB site, it seems that I am not the only one Semper has price gouged for solar.)

We paid $42,000 for our a 6.8 kw system that is 17 panels.
I was speaking a neighbor from a few blocks away because I noticed he has the same model house and what looks like the same panels. When speaking with him, it turns out that not only did he have the same panels as us, he also had one more.
I was shook when I learned that he paid roughly 50% less that we did..
I think that our salesmen saw two young naive adults and took total advantage of us. It's a rough lesson to learn but I hope that that someone reads this comment who is looking to use Semper Solaris and chooses stray far away from this company.

I called their customer service to try and resolve this issue. I was informed that I would be getting a call back from our salesmen manager to try and resolve this issue but its been about a week with no response back.

I am going to be reporting them for price gouging on the BBB site.

Hopefully this review saves someone else from getting ripped off.

All good. The installation crew was superb and took only 1 1/2 days. I only wish they had not started on a Friday, as my solar panels were out of commission all weekend and part of Monday. Final inspection tomorrow, but the system has been operational for weeks now and I love it.

I found this establishment via a television commercial so I called and made an appointment for Battery Storage. Robert A. showed up and was very knowledgeable. I signed up with him and the process was very easy. The installation was timely and the crew was kind. I highly recommend Robert A so ask for him when you call and let the agent know That NEPHTALI sent you!

Great Solar company. Very professional on time and their crew is there when they say they will show up. I had the jarhead crew, They worked flawlessly. Everything went smoothly. Sempra has a great support team that if you have questions and you call and you get help now. Rebecca Silva has been great as my contact and she is always very pleasant and helpful.

I met with Sr. Representative Robert Alva from Semper Solaris back in November of 2021. He quickly set himself apart from my other 3 quotes with his careful listening and experience. He made a strong case to add a Tesla Powerwall to my solar and roofing project and I'm happy that he did. I've experienced three PGE outages since installation! My wife thinks I'm a hero! Thanks Robert, keep on rocking!

I used to think solar was a scam. Then I did my research. I talked to one company then I called Semper Solaris bc I wanted a second quote. Raedene Solano came to my house. I had a lot of questions. She was patient with me and answered all my questions. I appreciated her professionalism and knowledge. It helped me to make a good decision to put solar on my home. It's working just like Raedene said it would.

I am a United States Air Force veteran and feel passionate about supporting those that have served our country! My experience with this company was great from beginning to end. They designed a system that met the needs of our household now and for items we might add in the future. I am proud to recommend Semper Solaris to anyone that desires a solar system!

Installation crew from Semper Solaris were on time both days, efficient and professional, friendly and helpful. They ran through the operation of the system thoroughly and stayed on site until everything wasw operational. Semper Solaris has been great throughout the installation of battery back up to my existing solar system. Would use them again without hesitation.

I have had issues with Semper Solaris since day one. I just got off the phone with JR in the tech department. My system is under producing due to some micro inverter issues. I started a tech ticket 9-1-2023. No one has contacted me and I have made numerous calls. Today I am finally told that my ticket is in tier two and someone will be contacting me. I asked to be transferred to them and JR could not do that. All he said is someone will be calling me at some point. All this time my system is underproducing and all I can do is wait. The reason I chose them is they advertise they are veteran owned and I support our veterans anyway I can. I 100% wish I never used this company. Please be aware

I had been reviewing multiple companies regarding solar and was interested in the powerwalls also. After talking with my neighbor and meeting the crew who installed his I felt very comfortable going with Semper Solaris. I worked with Alex Darr who made the whole process smooth and easy to understand and we couldn't beat the pricing. They had 3 crews come out and complete the entire job including two powerwalls, and they did it in 1 day. Everything was up and running by end of day and they walked me through the apps to see how things work. Overall fantastic experience and they exceeded my expectations. Thanks Alex and the entire team at Semper Solaris.

Semper Solaris concerns what are the best way to install solar on my Lite-weight tile roofing. I've a great experience with all the people, supervisor, sales representative, customer services, they are pleasant, patiently to take care of my issues.

I was in the market for a new roof and solar system when I saw a Semper Solaris TV commercial and decided to give them a call. Semper Solaris sent over Robert Alva senior Energy consultant whom was very courteous and knowledgeable about the solar system and roofing installation. My roof took a week to install by professional roof technicians following one day installation of solar panels. Both crews were very courteous and professional and kept the work site very clean of debris at the end of the work day. I would highly recommend calling semper Solaris and asking for Robert Alva for your roof and solar installation services.

I am very busy in my career, dealing with Semper Solaris to handle the complete new installation of my central air/heat was handled without out much of having to overlook anything. They knew what I wanted and made it happen to perfection. Improved areas with suggestions to my initial request without additional cost. Totally satisfied!

My household has been without AC for about a month because of our awful home insurance company. The crew from Semper Solaris really went above and beyond from quote to install of our new AC system. They are the definition of professional, and I can't recommend these guys highly enough! Thank you for all of your hard work and excellent service!

If I could give a zero rating I would. The field guys (veterans) are good people. SemperSolaris management and engineering teams are completely incompetent. The initial design/layout of the battery system did not meet mfg specs (4 months to permit). Had to move batteries. Engineering then resubmitted new drawings that did not reflect the installed layout (+2 more months of permitting). ++2 more months of chasing down someone to rectify. Project manager quit. Semper closed the office servicing my project. +4 different installation crews and each crew pointed out the mistakes made by the previous crew. Months to repair from initial installation. Then there was the fact that our house lost power when no other houses lost power due to circuits tripping. Do not use this company for solar and/or battery back-up. They will say they are "experts", but don't be fooled. It was a truly awful experience that took over a year from start to finish and should have been a 1 week installation.

Brian, was awesome. He had pictures of my Units and explained everything in detail and provided recommendations. I was definitely impressed with his expertise and knowledge. I will use Semper Solaris again, thanks.

Raedene was extremely helpful and informative. She broke everything down for us detail by detail and was very helpful in explaining our system! I would highly recommend going through her for all solar needs!

I have had a 11 kW solar system with 2 Powerwalls 3. Trying to add a 3rd Powerwalls 3 expansion pack was a charm with Semper Solaris. Senior Energy Raedene Solano was able to take care of our NEM 3 issues. Our communication was stellar, she was very informative and she was able to answer all my questions. Summer Season June 1, 2025- Sept 30, 2025. We can say goodbye to our true-up bill with PG&E down to $0 or worse just a few dollars per year. Don't forget there are still the Electric Home rate plan includes a $15-per-month base services charge that lowers the price you pay per unit of energy (KWh).
