We took advantage of the Home Depot HVAC checkup program. The checkup was thorough and reassuring that our system is functioning properly. He made some optional improvement suggestions we will consider.

Mario was the consummate professional! He arrived by 8:30 checked out everything that could have happened to my system to cause the issue with the unit to the thermostat communication. He went out to wash out the outside unit and found a wire had somehow become disconnected at the unit. He repaired the wire and left by 10:30. He was friendly and thorough. Thanks!

Tech was kind and very thorough with inspection. Showed us where he inspected and issues found. Provided us with a quote for possible needed and optional services. Overall great experience with this company! Would definitely recommend for any HVAC/AC services.

I’ve been a loyal customer of LaVerne & Son Electrical, Air Conditioning and Solar for nearly 20 years, both personally and through several rental properties. Over that time, I’ve consistently had good experiences with their service, technicians, and professionalism — which is why I trusted them for a recent full HVAC system replacement.

The new system was a large installation (just over $37,500) for a rental property. Scheduling and installation went smoothly, and the crew was courteous and professional. That said, I did experience two post-installation service visits.

The first was due to moisture leaking from the unit because the condensate drain had not been verified as clear during installation. LaVerne & Son responded quickly and took care of it.

The second issue came when we switched over to heating. The blower fan was running continuously and wouldn’t cycle off. A technician spent several hours troubleshooting and consulting technical support, and it was determined the system hadn’t been programmed correctly during install (dip switches were not set properly). Once corrected, the system performed as expected.

I understand mistakes can happen, especially while training newer technicians. My suggestion would be adding a senior technician quality check on major installs to prevent avoidable callbacks. It would reduce inconvenience for customers and limit unnecessary warranty work.

Despite this hiccup, I will continue using LaVerne & Son because they stood behind their work, responded professionally, and handled the situation responsibly. My intent in sharing this is simply to provide honest, constructive feedback.

Just had a new system put in my home in June of this year and these guys were great. Super fast but great quality work. I have worked with a few companies from Bakersfield but these guys are and have been the best. I’m am very satisfied with there work and customer service.

My 9 year old Bryant HVAC gave up on me, undersized by the Lennar builder. Instead of paying for the repairs, I replaced the whole system. No other company can beat the pricing and superb service of these guys, mostly Vicente you deserve extra bonus from the boss. For being so patient because I did window shopping for weeks, afterall it is an expensive purchase but so worth it. They travelled from Bakersfield to Hanford without hassle. Other surrounding companies are overcharging for $4-6k more for the same Trane brand and was pushy for me to buy their company’s own brand. I did some research, Trane is one of the premium HVAC and high SEER, mostly no negative feedbacks on this brand compared to others. Pricey but you get what you paid for. Others from Hanford, Lemoore and Visalia wants a very high % interest rate that must be paid in 3 years, LaVerne is able to outshine them all with 0%. Zero. And it comes with the thermostat. And all those parts and labor. And troubleshooting in the future. You can’t beat that. So if you are from Central Valley, totally worth giving this company a shot. I discovered them from Home Depot, not even Lowes or Costco can beat this deal. Get your new systems because prices will go up very soon!

Heating component of my dual pack went out. I called LaVerne and Son and they were able to get someone out that day. Part was ordered and installed the next day. Less than 24 hours. Tech guys were great. Great service at a reasonable price. No one better !!

Heater was working fine before, but after La Vern service man checked it and left our heater was on but blowing only air with no heat I won't let them talk me into do a special on servicing heater for $8.88 Home Depot promotion any more i feel they just want you to buy a new unit cause they mention that in conversation at the beginning our heater was working fine before ,seems suspicious it's not working now .just what we needed at a time like this.Cold weather! No heat now! Oh paid tech and did not even give me my Change.This sevice and company is going to be reported to Home Depot asap

I was disappointed. The work that was done was fine. However, the heat pumps sheds a lot of water when the ambient atmosphere is damp such as the central Valley fog season. That water runs off the roof like a leaky evaporative cooler. It has the potential of ruining a roof. The consumer should have been advised of that potentiality. The consumer should have been provided the cost of installing the collection system and drain. That way the consumer can factor that into the overall heat pump installation price.
Disappointed that this came up after the fact, and having to cover this cost out-of-pocket, instead of incorporating it into the financing for the new heat pump.

Rex Jr arrived And both fixed and explained the alert issue right away. He was also able to sign me up for the maintenance program, and showed me exactly what they would do. Definitely worth it!

I love this company! They are so helpful and friendly from talking on the phone to the techs that come out to the house. I had a whole new system installed about a year and a half ago, which has worked great, but I had a small problem with the thermostat that they came out and fixed by replacing it under warranty. Everything works as expected now and I had really fast service. I can recommend them highly!

The technician, Frank, was great! My scheduled appointment was from 12-2pm. He arrived right at 12. He was clear on what he was going to do, he gave me feedback, and was efficient. Great customer service.

We had solar, heat pump and air installed a few years ago and are still very satisfied with our purchase from Laverne and Son. Today Dan came out to service our system and was very professional, knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We are extremely happy with our service tech and the company as a whole. They installed my new air conditioner about 3 1/2 years ago and it’s been wonderful! The service every year has been excellent and they’ve always rewarded my warranty very easily and quickly!
My heater was not working last night and they were very prompt in coming out today to fix it and Ray was very nice and certainly got the job done within about an hour! I would highly recommend LaVerne and Son!
