We ordered a 15 foot tree to replace one that had died. It had to be brought in to our backyard with a large crane from the front. Felipe was our arborist at Bartlett that diagnosed the disease that had killed our old tree and he met with us in Morgan Hill to choose a new one. He was with us every step of the way including the day of installation.
Eli and Paris were the men that came to install the tree and assist the with the crane. The hole that we had dug was not large enough and required much more digging and root removal. Eli and Paris worked efficiently to enlarge the hole and remove the excess roots. They then worked with the crane operator to lower the new tree into our yard. This took a lot of time and coordination. They then spent an additional 1 1/2 hours positioning and settling the tree in place. They brought bags of mulch to freshen up around the tree and thoroughly cleaned the yard around where they had worked.
This Bartlett team went above and beyond and we love our new tree!

We have used Bartlett Tree Service for years and would not use anyone else. Felipe consulted with us and recommended what needed to be done to our Magnolia (60 yrs old), Maple (40 years old), Chinese Tallow (40 years old) and Granny Smith Apple (30 years old) Trees. He was extremely thorough and made sure to explain everything. The crew of Eli, Armando, Paris and Diego did a fantastic job reviewing and checking in with us to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. They were efficient, did a great job pruning, thinning out the trees and cleaning up everything, leaving the yard cleaner than when they started. Thanks again to the crew at Bartlett!

West Valley has been taking care of my mulberry tree for the past 6 years and they are timely, courteous, clean up everything, and leave my tree looking great. It grows like a weed so it needs yearly attention, and West Valley has pruned it so that it is growing in all the right directions.

Simon is extremely friendly, responsive, and went out of his way to take care of dangerously swaying trees in our backyard during the storms in late February. We're glad we had them take care of this because the trees would not have survived the storms in March and caused tremendous damage.

I was referred to West Valley Arborists by my real estate agent and had a wonderful experience with Simon and his team. With El Nino looming, I was nervous about the big oak tree in my backyard crashing onto my house and / or damaging my neighbors' property since it sits in the corner.

Setting up a consultation appointment with Simon was quick and easy and when he came out to inspect the tree, he put any concerns I had to rest. What I appreciated was the fact that he clearly knows trees and respects maintaining their structure as nature intended as much as possible while keeping us humans safe :) After all, they were here first. He was able to draw up an estimate on the spot and I scheduled an appointment with their office.

On the day of the scheduled tree cutting, Simon and his team of 3 or 4 arrived early and we walked through what work would be done. While I was not able to stay and watch like I had originally planned, I got home by 2pm to find that they were wrapping up and getting ready to leave.

Oh and the tree itself? Loved it - I get so much more light now and the tree looks like it can "breathe" again. New year, new tree. Kudos and thank you to Simon, Eduardo and the rest of the team!

Amazing service! Simon and crew were timely, considerate, very professional, and reasonably priced. I would give them 10 stars if I could and will definitely call them back for future tree care/removal needs. I wouldn't consider using anyone else.

Simon and his team did a great job all around. Quick to respond and reasonable pricing. We had an overgrown peach tree that needed to be pruned and the tree looks great! We will hire them yearly for pruning.

Would I use West Valley Arborists again? Yes, unequivocally. They were on time. They have skilled employees who know how to remove a problem tree. And, they clean up afterwards—all at a fair price.

Very professional and detailed. I had a massive magnolia that needed a really good thinning. Glad I got it done before the storms! These guys weren't the cheapest, but I would definitely use them again.

West Valley Arborists are experts: clean, courteous, and knowledgeable. Simon's team trims trees to keep them healthy and without damaging them which maintains your home's property value. Highly recommended! They also clean up the residue. Note: Any tree service can use the term "arborist" but buyer beware: if they are not a certified arborist, you may end up with a topped tree: an ugly, damaged tree (poor thing!)
