We have original 1976 air distribution ducts. After the AeroSeal process the duct air leakage would exceed the requirements for new construction. Crazy tight. And our furnace is quieter overall!

I reached out to Alex for a quote on Friday afternoon and he was able to come same day, he inspected all the vents as well as under the house. He Provided a lot of details and pictures on the issues he found he then provided a lot of information on the services he will need to do on my house. The price for everything that needed to be done was really good. His team showed up on Tuesday morning and we’re really friendly and communicative.

Leaky ducts are problematic for a lot of reasons:
1/ they waste energy (raising bills)
2/ create uneven temperatures
3/ degrade indoor air quality (circulating dust, mold, allergens), 4/ force your HVAC system to work harder/longer

I always wondered how well sealed our ducts were. So I did some research and discovered Aeroseal, a non-toxic, aerosolized sealant used to seal air duct leaks from the inside out. No messy mastic/tape going under the house or in the attic. Or in some cases the vents are behind walls - how do you get to those??

Found Alex at MaxSeals and had him come by for an appointment. I was impressed with his knowledge and professionalism - and data he shared with me from previous houses he has sealed. They also guarantee leakage rates to be < 5% Sold! Agreed on a price and he came with his team as promised.

The house is large (4,500 sq ft) with 3 separate furnaces. Initial leakage rates varied between 15% and 24% (!). When he finished, the leakage rates were below 2%. Pretty incredible.

The work took 3 days (1 day per furnace). His team was neat and tidy and left the workspace spotless. Zero complaints.

You can literally feel the improved air velocity through the vents and the house warmed up significantly faster than it did.

I'm VERY happy with Maxseal. Wish all contractors were as efficient.

And it does work! After treatment, including duct cleaning, much of the sneezing/coughing has been eliminated and we have a much more evenly heated environment.

Efficient and quiet - we are pleased with the install and the results. This company is the South Bay authorized dealer for this product. We installed the stealth pro and it works perfectly to cool our home in the evenings.

It was great working with them. I had many people coming by to quote me for an install of a whole house fan install and they were more thorough than most. Also during install they found uncovered wiring in my attic. Super scary that we had that up there and no one ever noticed. They put those wires in metal boxes as well during the install.
