received a promo text from them advertising a move out clean. I was in the market for a move out clean! I had bad experiences with this company in the past due to neverending upping prices and constantly having the job only half way done and then playing ignorant to it, but there isn’t much else in this area unless you just hire an individual instead of a company. Or so I thought. Being Navy means sometimes being ignorant to your surroundings. I wish I had done my research and seen that there are plenty more options. I had received another promo text from Modern Maids in the past advertising carpet shampooing. Several of these advertisements, actually. So when I wrote Modern Maids back indicating that I’d like a move out clean, including a FULL CLEAN (always surprised me that I had to actually indicate the obvious to them over and over) windows, fans, appliances, blinds, carpet shampooing etc, the person on the other end, Jennifer, wrote me back and said “yes, all of that is included.” Score, right? There’s no way they can screw up a move out clean in a completely empty house especially if I’m there to assess things and ensure nothing is missed again.
Not so much. The morning of this move out clean, this same phone number that had been texting me promos and confirmations and just general conversation about the house and cleaning (square footage and stuff), messaged me to say “the girls will be there at 10.” We had an 11:00 appointment. I wasn’t at the house because it was entirely empty. We were in another town in a hotel. I wrote back to say “ok, someone will be there an hour early to let you in.” I also asked that she please ensure that everything we had already discussed was going to be covered in the clean, unlike the last time I used their services, in order to avoid having to reschedule a second cleaning. I listed all the things I listed the previous week that they confirmed but this time, an hour and a half before they were supposed to show up, I was informed that they don’t offer carpet shampooing. Well wait. You quoted me a price that included carpet shampooing, just a week prior. How can that be? I am awaiting the Navy to ship me overseas in just a couple of days and I have had this appointment with this company for over a week but now I’m told that the services they offered, advertised and confirmed, are no longer available to me, putting me in quite a position to have to get things figured out last minute, literally. This isn’t even the worse part. Jennifer tells me “we should just cancel because I don’t think we can meet your expectations.” This leaves me shocked and very worried, scrambling to figure out how I can get this sorted out in only a couple of short days. Jennifer then refuses to give me the managers contact info and wildly and very randomly accuses us of being unable to pay or potentially having a home that is “too soiled” for their services. These women have been in my house multiple times and know very well that not only can we pay, but our house in the past, albeit cluttered with clothes, is ANYthing but soiled. And it’s an entirely empty house. It has never been “soiled” beyond the average dust layer and soap scum. Also, we have never had any issues paying. Have also paid them on time the high price that they’ve asked for, every single time. To make matters as worse as they could be, Jennifer began to tell me that she knew where I worked and who I work with and what I do at my job and admitted that she had been soliciting information about me from my coworkers, about what, I have no clue. This was my last straw. That is disgusting. What business could she possibly have, using a customers name and information to solicit information about them from their job?? This is scary. I asked around town after this and found that Modern Maids has quite a reputation for poor service, price gouging and just plain human indecency. Yes, shame on me for ever even thinking of doing business with them more than once. Shame. On. Me.
Do not spend your money here.

In deep cleaning package they did nothing not even dusting. Didn't removed any kind of stains as they have mentioned in their services. More over i have to tell them that its also included in deep cleaning service. Called their office to complain and she made appointment with me to see what maids did but its been 2 days waiting for her to visit. Very bad experience

I Love the house cleaning Job that Modern Maids did for my Home, the workers did an outstanding job dusting and mopping the floors. My bathroom was spotless and my windows ceils were great as well. I definitely would recommend modern maids to anyone. Thanks!!!!

I hired the company to clean every other week. They lack thoroughness and flew through our 2800 square foot home in 1 hr and 15 minutes. Did clean tops of picture frames, top oof bookcase, or fans, all of which were mentioned in their room by room explanation of cleaning. Tried to work with owner…very unwilling to listen. Invited him to come to my house and see the issues I had….didn’t even respond. Said I expected too much from them….DON’T USE

It was my first time using Modern Maids cleaning today. I wasnt sure what to expect or how high to set my expectations. I scheduled a full house deep/spring clean. 3 workers arrived, on time and very well prepared for work. They took their time, worked super hard and were very detailed oriented. They were friendly, professional and very kind to me, my kids and pets. I was beyond impressed. Every room was amazing. My bathrooms looked how they originally looked when they were renovated. All the dust everywhere was gone, even the cat hair! I will absolutely use them again.

I hired this company to do a move out clean for my home. They came out, but I am not sure what they did? Cleaning, was not it. The house was still obviously dirty. I contacted the owner to let them know, and they offered to come back out, but I did not trust them to finish the job. I would not recommend them, and will not use them again. UPDATE: Here are the photos from AFTER they cleaned. You can decide......

Vegetables selection sucks. Tiny pepper plants. Not much selection of varieties.
Landscape timbers went from $6.28 on January 23 to $10.88 on March 31.

Good selection. Peaceful and well maintained.
