Electrical reviews in Concord, California

Highly recommend this place. Very convenient that they're open on Saturday. Big selection, prices comparable to the big box without all the madness of the big box. Owner is super nice and helpful.good for contractors and homeowners alike.

This is a excellent home and building supply store with affordable rates to keep your project well under budget with a great staff that is knowledgeable in the materials they handle.
Never again will I go to any competitor unless they're just not open or out of the part I'm in need for.
5 star review from the owner of Affordable Home $ervice $olutions we help all plumbing and general contractors get their jobs done we also help home owners get their jobs done within budget in a timely matter.
We've used all other supply companies and there is no comparison in customer service we highly recommend this supply house to all those we work with.

If I could give zero stars, I would.
Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever had. On Memorial Day, I called to see if they were open, they answered the phone and refused to say what their hours were. I should have seen the red flag right then and there. Once the employee admitted they were open, I decided to drive over to see if they had a part for a Toto toilet. They had zero customers, but three employees talking to each other at the counter. Not only were they rude and dismissive, he refused to try and help – instead he looked on his computer, scrolled very fast and said "which one of these is your toilet?"
All in all, not a responsible way to deal with customers. Be wary with this place, not only are they clearly miserable with their job, they are rude and will take it out on you. -
You’re better off. Going to Home Depot. Stay away from this place. I purchased minimal attachments for electrical outlets. They charged double here versus Home Depot. Cents to the that charge. Then when you want to return, they charge you 25% of that return. So you bought three outlets and they keep 25% of that cost basically. RIDICULOUS… My Advise… STAY AWAY!!

Guy at the desk - I assume the owner - is the most unhelpful and unqualified person to be running this. My husband came in asking about what pieces would be needed to split a gas line - he responded that he didn’t know anything about plumbing and that all he does is buy from the supplier and doesn’t know what any of the parts do. He then became antagonistic, probably because he felt embarrassed- I would too if I owned a store with things I had no idea about. Do not go here. You’re literally better off getting advice from the teenagers at Home Depot.

Got Watts has done two projects for us. Both times the technicians were friendly, knowledgeable and on time. Brian was our main technician both times. He did good work, and the prices are fair. The office staff is super efficient in setting up appointments and getting invoices sent out. Because our second project was less than $1,999, Got Watts charged us a service fee. The reason is they prefer not to do small projects. However, even with the fee, we felt Got Watts is a very good value.

Got Watts was great to work with on the install on and set up of our new home solar system. They provided the slightly lower quote than the other 3 quotes I received. Sam & Mallory updated me via email every step of the way from blueprint to permit approval to install to PG&E's permission to operate "going live"! The install crew did a great job and had everything done in less than 2 days. I had a really great experience and would highly recommend Got Watts

I have been trying to install a solar panel + battery system for several years now with a few frustrating issues preventing progress. Then I talked to Got Watts and the project was finished with professionalism and expertise and no drama! Samantha helped me scope out the system and finalize my plans, then Danny and Mark did the electrical work to get everything installed and operating. Quality work, on time, on budget with a friendly crew. What more is there to say?
Update April 2025: Now that I have finished my taxes, I realize that Lindsay Altman helped me obtain a very significant tax break this year. She sent me a reminder note on Dec 30 to get some paperwork finished by the end of the year, and without that, I would have been out of luck. Thanks! -
Got Watts installed solar panels on my roof in 2022 and I decided to add batteries in 2024. I called Sam Moore and she informed me that Got Watts was now certified to install Tesla batteries and that is what she recommended. Based on my electric usage, she recommended two Tesla batteries. A month later, Danny and Brian did a great job installing the new batteries and showing me how to use the Tesla app for the new batteries. Then Marc reviewed the install and coordinated the inspection with the city of Oakland. Marc also reviewed the Tesla app and made some changes to some of the default setting, which enhanced my understanding of the Tesla app.
Everyone I interacted with was professional and knowledgeable. The work is first class. I highly recommend Got Watts. -
Definitely recommend Got Watts! We had 2 additional solar panels and a 10 kW battery system installed. They made good recommendations on products and the installation was professional. No issues with inspections and they fixed “dodgy” things from previous panel installation by another contractor. I will definitely use them in the future.

Had solar installed by the Got Watts team. Initially started with SolarSage but also wanted to check local companies to support local business and found them on Google maps.
Want to thanks all the staff over the process from Sam having multiple video calls to go over questions and concerns, and the individuals and crews who came out to survey, install, and inspect (Chris, Daniel, Justin, Marc, and crew). Friendly and respectful. Lindsay and Mallory responded to my messages quickly as well.
One thing is that Got Watts were able to install the Enphase Net Meter but due to issues on PG&E side, they did not have anyone trained to install so it delayed the project by two weeks. An Enphase rep and PGE rep came together to install. Hopefully no one else will face this issue. -
I cannot recommend these guys any more highly - they were fast, professional, and did very high quality work at a fair price! You can’t go wrong.

I chose “Got Watts” to install my solar system which had been recommended by my friends.
From the beginning to the end I have experienced the best service I could imagine. Sam, who arrived first and was a solar specialist, explained patiently what we would need and how long the entire process with take in several different stages. She was knowledgeable, professional, without being pushy to purchase the system. Next employee of “GW” who was responsible for the design of the system was Chris who with the help of drone assessed position of panels, location of a Powerwall and Gateway. He sat down with us and with an excellent knowledge explained everything to us. Two months later, the electric and roof crews arrived and within 2and1/2 days installed panels, battery and controlling system. The electrical crew ( Brian, Wayne and Brandon (?)) and roof crew ( led by Justine) were working efficiently, clean and finished their work in timely manner. At the end, the company electrical inspector, Mark, finalized all electrical connections, introduced us to the Tesla application and was waiting for the city inspector to finalized the operation of the solar system. It was was a such pleasant experience to observe his excellent electrical and computer skills.
I need to mention all people from the office who communicated with us during the whole work. Lindsay, Mallory, Jenn and Dan, who provided all documents, invoices and scheduling were above and beyond.
At the last, Jeremy, the owner, met us and thanked for choosing his company. We assured him that selecting his team was the best decision we could make and we’ll definitely recommend his company to whoever wants to install the solar power system -
I had a great experience adding backup batteries to my existing home solar system with Got Watts. Very clear communication from the office and on-site staff. All interactions were professional and courteous. The system itself looks great and appears to be a very clean install.
Shoutout to Sam at the office for handling most of the communication, Chris for the initial site inspection, Brian and Wayne for the install, Eldridge for facilitating the inspection, and Marc for commissioning the system and dealing with Enphase. All staff were great to work with.
My only complaint is that the electricians left a ton of small debris after the install like bits of wire, metal parts, and drywall dust. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume this was an oversight, but I wish I didn't have to clean up after them. -
The team did an amazing job installing our solar system.
The sales associate was very thorough and knowledgeable.
The electricians did very neat job. All conduit and wiring was neat and tidy.
The panel installers were quick and looked like they were having a good time and had good vides.
Best of overall, when there we issues, we were able to discuss them and find a solution. Their team works with great humility and just wants to do the right thing. -
From the day I make an inquiry to the post-installation visit, Gott Watts Electric delivered outstanding services. They worked with me to craft a solar and battery solution that met my needs while patiently answering my many questions along the way. Their installation team were professional and again patiently answered any questions I had during the installation. The system is now up and running and am very pleased with the outcome. Highly recommend Gott Watts for anyone looking to install solar with a credible, honest vendor.

The GottWatts team is large, and it pulled together a complex installation involving 34 solar panels, 2 large batteries, and a new 200 Amp service panel. Team members who were helpful: Jarrett, Lindsay, Dan H, Mallory, Danny, Marc, Chris. Use Lindsay, Dan H, Mallory as point people. Excellent job overall

We needed to replace 2 old solar inverters and so reached out to Got Watts. I had a quick response, spoke to a live person, received knowledgeable information about my options from Anthony, and had a seamless and efficient install with Danny. Danny was detail oriented very experienced and streamlined our wall of equipment to a much more manageable layout. We are very happy with the workmanship and customer support Gott Watts provides. I will return to this company for any solar electric or HVAC needs in the future!!

Total professionals from start to finish. From the time we signed up with Got Watts to the day we were able to power up the system was about 5 weeks. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional and focused on getting us to this point. 10/10 would use these folks again.

Did a Tesla powerwall+Span Panel upgrade from Got Watt? and had a great experience. The home had 208V power from the grid that we didn't realize and incompatible with the powerwall, instead of giving up and just refunding, Got Watt took the extra effort to develop and install a solution without extra charge.

Got Watts installed an EV charger. Chris Jones developed a cost effective plan to use our existing electrical panel. This was a tricky installation. Brian and Brandin did an excellent job in installing the unit in a downstairs garage of a second floor condo.
They successfully concealed much of the wiring and as a result minimal wall repair is required. Highly recommended.
