Daron from JW Mitchell did my inspection on the home I bought last month. We had an undersized A/C Unit and oversized Furnace for the house. From the start, Daron was helpful in making me understand my options without being pushy or "salesy." When we made our decision to get new units, Matt, Daron, and the team were great in helping me deal with a few hurdles that we encountered. Always showing patience and flexibility. I recently needed service for a tenant's heating system and started calling local Costa Mesa companies. Most were just answering services, or franchises with some central booking agent. Great service, I recommend calling for new air and Heat or if you need repair or service. I won’t go to anyone else.

We just finally had to replace our old original furnace that came with this 1960’s house. We added air after several uncomfortable years. We went with the financing with no interest they now offer.
If Your furnace is old like ours it could be leaking gas. Call JW to get an estimate before the weather get cold. Last phoo is a before pic.

Our AC unit was super old and noisy and we needed to replace it. We got a few bids from other contractors then found JW Mitchell Heating and Air.
Matt came out and gave us some options and we hired him to replace the whole system. He ended up moving the condenser to the side yard out of the way and we went to electric from gas on the furnace.
Everything turned out great and we are very happy. The new system is so quiet, cools the house instantly, and it even lowered our electric bill due to the efficiency! Matt and his team were professionals and explained every step of the way. Highly recommended.

I had such a great experience with Austin Ramirez today! He came right on time, was very professional, respectful, and super clean while working on my AC. He quickly diagnosed the problem, explained everything clearly, and even gave me different options to consider. The repair was done fast and efficiently, and the price was only $39—which is amazing for the quality of service I received.

Brian was as positive an experience as a customer could have. He worked endlessly to solve the problem in order to make my home comfortable until the permanent installation of my new equipment could take place. He was personable, attentive, and extremely customer centric. Reached out to JW Mitchell because we needed a second opinion on some heating issue and I was NOT disappointed. Brian who came to our house was super friendly and was extremely knowledgeable. He ran a couple of tests after seeing my unit and was able to identified the problem with 100% certainty which made us feel really good. The other company who came by, not only charged us $100 but they also said that our valves were not standard (?!?) and they would need to run additional tests to determine the issue…( ~$600). Keep in mind, the unit is only a yr old. Very pleased with JW Mitchell not trying to upsell us on anything and being honest. They told us to contact our contractor before calling them back as they said they would likely cover it under warranty. I’m usually very wary about people who come by to fix houses but this brought me hope and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs qualified, honest mechanical contractors.

I was extremely happy with my experience with JW Mitchell. I have an old wall heater that wasn’t working, and worried that it would need to be replaced and didn’t know which company I could trust to give me an honest answer. I have to say I am very confident in the integrity of this company. When I called to make an appointment the woman on the phone was very pleasant and accommodating. Brian ( the technician) who came out was very knowledgeable, friendly and was able to quickly solve the issue and get my heater working. He put my mind at ease and I appreciated his honesty. I was grateful that I didn’t need a new heater and the price was more than reasonable. He even vacuumed the inside of the heater. I definitely recommend this company and Brian for any work on heating and cooling.

Showed up on time. Prompt start and checkout. Took about a half an hour. Got diagnosis and estimate. I chose to replace the faulty thermostat myself. That fixed it. BTW, this was after spending about 45 minutes on the phone with the help line for the old thermostat manufacturer doing a battery of tests with them telling me the thermostat was ok and the problem was elsewhere.
