I enjoy coming here to browse with my kids. They love seeing the fountains, sculptures, gazebo, and wide variety of plants. The selection is pretty nice. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Inside, they have a cute area with great gift ideas.

Always helpful staff and a great selection of plants. Could offer more selections of soil/media but its adequate for a neighborhood garden center. I always come here for hot peppers and other edibles, plants always look healthy and never are mislabeled which I've had happen at OSH on many occasions.

The erstwhile Armstrong nursery is now SummerWinds - they have somehow kept the same friendly ambience, overly knowledgeable staff and a wonderful choice of flowers, trees, shrubs, vegetables, herbs and all your gardening needs.
I love their wide selection of flowers and kitchen garden supplies - and mostly appreciate the staff who is always ready with a smile and the answers.

Armstrong nursery is a pleasure to go look around even if I'm not buying anything. They have a wonderful variety of healthy plants and accessories. The staff has always been friendly even if I thought they really didn't answer my question, but the staff members will always try to get you the correct answer. I'm a price conscious person, the prices are generally good, some hard to get plants or larger sizes can get quite expensive.

A great full service nursery with extremely knowledgeable staff. Indoor plants/container garden starts/annuals/perennials and a full landscaping service- they have it all. Great quality horiticultural stock. More expensive than big box or generic retail stores- but it’s worth it.

Great staff! I had a load of questions and they walked me through each step. I felt comfortable and went Home to repot plants and propagate my snake plant for the first time. Didn't try to sell me on anything. Great advice and great products! Will be back

Love this place...although I did have a small issue.
I had called about a specific bag of soil they carried to see if they had it in stock. I was told by a guy they did- plenty according to the computer.
So I drove all the way there...just to find out, after looking around for it, that (he said) they were out.
I asked if he was sure...maybe it was on a delivery pallet somewhere in back (I used to work at Orchard Supply Hardware, so I know how things work). He said he'd go check (pretty sure he just walked out of sight for a few minutes without actually checking because it was 10 minutes until they closed). Came back and said he couldnt find any. But that there would be more by next Tuesday (5 days later)...but I needed it asap because I was seeding a new lawn.
The very next day, since I suspected he was just trying to brush me off to close up for the day, I called back & spoke to a nice lady.
She said that they DID have it. I said are you absolutely certain because I dont want to drive all the way back there just to be told they didnt have any again. She said yes according to the computer. I asked if she could physically verify please. She said okay- came back and said there was a FULL PALLET in back that had been delivered 2 days prior!!!
I told her of my conversation with the guy the previous day & she apologized for his inaccuracy.
Other than that, its a great place. Even exchanged a plant Id bought there a month prior that had mysteriously died (as long as you have original container).

Excellent plant selection, high quality tools and pots, and very friendly and knowledgeable service. Prices are higher but they probably pay their employees more, which is why the service and plants are much better than big box stores. If you’re willing to pay a little extra for variety, quality and service, this place is highly recommended.

This place was amazing! The plant selection was astonishing and I could’ve easily spent more than an hour there just looking through the plants. I’ve been looking for a healthy Desert Rose for 2 years and was finally able to get my hands on one here. If I didn’t have to fly home, I would’ve easily bought one of their dragon fruit plants because I’ve always wanted one. The staff there was super nice and I was able to have a nice little conversation which was super fun.

I have been a customer here for like 5 times for now. I would say most plants are in excellent to perfect condition which is way above average compared to other places that sell plants. A strong plant = a easier job for you taking care of it later. Great selections. Overall the best nursery in town all things considered.

Went to Summerwinds to get some plants today and was impressed by the quality of the plants there. The customer service was great. The checkout person seemed very knowledgeable about plants and he gave good advice on how best to plant the strawberry and snap peas.

Great location with good stuff that can't get at big boxes, and helpful, knowledgeable staff answer your questions. Hardware inventory low so grab it before they gone!

Visited today and found so many lovely flowers that I just had to buy some. They always have a nice selection - items you don't get in other nurseries. Beautifully kept - friendly staff.

We literally moved one parking spot over....this lady comes out, tells us to move when they had about several parking spaces available...we were buying a suit next door her landscaped clients were parked in Cassara's Italian parking spots unbelievable l will never go there l just moved here buying 5 palm trees 🌴 but WILL not buy from there place EVER l am a realtor and will never send any if my clients there!
