I had a custom home built in Temecula and needed to get a solar estimate during the permitting phase. Clint Johnson was very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to estimating the solar calculations and everything needed for my future home. Clint was awesome to work with and there is no company matching his when it comes to quality of service and exceptional pride in their work. Clint and his team were hands down the best in SoCal, I'm glad I went with him and his crew. I am looking to expand my property with other homes and will definitely use Johnson Solar for all my solar needs. Thank you Clint.

Johnson Solar is hands down the best company out there! I can't begin to explain but, they deserve the best we can give back. It's really old school service and hard working employees. We called with a few questions and the next day Clinton was out first thing in the morning to give us a price and explain all the details. Within 24 hours our panels were in place running backwards in rabbit mode. That's why I say old school service, that's the working ethics of yesteryear.

It's so nice not to have to worry about what hours are the best to use electricity to keep the bill down. Electric car, air conditioners and all the rest, and the bill is still a negative (which is a positive for the pocketbook) balance. It's weird how they work so happily together.

Hands down the best in the business! Not only are they the most affordable (we had estimates from Baker, Stellar, Semper, and Coastal) but their customer service is amazing! Clinton, the owner, makes sure he’s on site for every installation. We’ve had some issues with the EP Cube battery, and Clinton has been very hands-on to help resolve it. Now my neighbors are also looking to use Johnson Solar for their homes. Highly recommend them!!

I sincerely appreciate Clinton and his team for completing my solar and Tesla battery installation under a tight time constraint, ensuring it was finished before the end of the year to meet the tax credit eligibility deadline. We had another company lined up to get our brand new solar installed that 100% dropped the ball. With the clock ticking on the tax rebate coming up we need our system installed NOW!!

After a couple conversations and bit of back n forth on invoice I knew Clinton, Ross and his team were the guys I could trust to get the job done in time. Once contract was signed, we paid the 1st part of the invoice and was surprised to see the team at our house 3 days later with a truck full of panels and our Tesla Powerwall3!!

Even more surprising was the fact these guys installed an entire 10kw system with conduit and powerwall in 1 day! So mind blown that one morning we were on the grid and later that day we were free of SDGE....WIN WIN!!

Now....we are 8 days post install.
The system has gotten approved and has its Permit to Operate!
We have imported about $1.50 in power in over a week.
We have exported about $3 in power in the same time.

This company was a miracle worker in a time when we needed a miracle to get the 30% tax credit.

Wow, if you want a friendly, knowledgeable solar company, look no further than Johnson Solar. First of all, he was the least expensive of all the quotes I received. The procedure was expeditious from quote to final inspection. You will deal directly with the owner on everything. I could not be happier with the installations of the roof panels and batteries. Love the new system and the ability to say goodbye to outrageous utility bills. Thank you Clinton and your team for a fantastic job!

Needed new outlets installed at our work warehouse to hook up a new laser engraving machine, cnc router, and a dust collection unit. Roddy helped with the entire process and even suggested a way to convert the dust collector from a 3 phase set up to a 2 phase, allowing me to save on the project! Roddy is a licensed electrician which helped ease my mind that the repairs would be high quality. Really glad I found these guys, very high quality service and great pricing.

I found AEI on yelp but it took a while to narrow down my search to the right company and I'm glad that Roddy reached out and answered my quote request. He offered to fix the problem I was having in my property that same day and his rate was so much more reasonable than at least half a dozen other companies. One guy quoted me $400 just to troubleshoot and get my power up and running but only if I didn't want to replace all my breakers which he asked $1600 to do. I could tell this guy was trying to rip me off. Roddy then came out and actually checked the problem, found out it was just one corroded breaker needing replacement, and charged a very reasonable price. I'll be calling him for all my electrical needs.

Roddy and his apprentice did a fantastic job switching out our recessed kitchen lights from CFLs to regular incandescent/LED bulb terminals. They completed the job in a timely manner and gave us a fair price. Would definitely hire them again for any and all electrical work!!

Roddy came out to our Shop in Alpine and quickly diagnosed some issues with the wiring. We also had them install some new LED fixtures. I can see now. They did a great job and were very professional. I will be using them again in the future.

If you need an energy monitoring device like the Emporia (see photos) installed, Roddy and his apprentice Vito are your guys! Roddy had not installed one of these before but came prepared and had watched the installation videos. They were fast, efficient, knowledgeable, resourceful, they did a very clean job in the panel given the octopus of wires (see photos), and they were extermely friendly and overall great to work with! if you are searching for an electrician, stop searching and call these guys right now, you won't be disappointed!

We had an emergency electric problem which would have lead to a fire and electricity running through my shower head/hose and sink. Roddy came and helped so much and even came back again the next day because of his concern for our safety. It was a huge stress reliever having him help us. They quoted me the best price out of other companies that I reached out to, and I am really glad I did. He did not make me feel like he was scamming me at all.

I will definitely be an AEI customer. Quick to respond, reasonable price and high quality of the service. I schedule an appointment, Nick and Zack came out to my house to do the job exactly how I wanted. They were friendly and I am happy with the results. They installed two fans and power to a 24X24 gazebo in my backyard.

Great work, on time, efficient, great attention to detail, and focus on completing work the correct (and safe) way. Very friendly and generous in sharing knowledge on the work being done and why it is being done in the way they are doing it. Would absolutely recommend for any work!

We have had Roddy and his apprentice out multiple times and each time they were considerate of our budget going into the project and frequently finished ahead of the estimated time frame. They have done wiring work above and below the house, installed a ceiling fan, and installed a dishwasher including reworking the electrical in our kitchen island.

On one call they did significant investigative work to find where a neutral line was drawing power from in addition to correcting many issues from previous installers in our lower and upper crawl spaces. They made the system safe and did not leave until it was correct.

We have already recommended Roddy at AEI to our friends. We couldn’t ask for more when hiring a contractor. We will be calling him in the future when we are ready to tackle our next project!

AEI completed a multifaceted project that included wiring for a new range, conduit around the house, new sub panel, EV charging, moving outlets, lighting, and more. It is clear that Roddy is a master of his trade and was able to answer every question we had. He regularly checked in with us to ask clarifying questions or offer his expertise on certain specifics as they would come up. Our house has many quirks and it did not seem to phase him at all.

His bid / quote was clear, and his pricing extremely fair and reasonable. Communication has been excellent by both email and text, we always received a reply when we reached out and scheduling was easy. He was prompt, arriving early every day and working the entire day long just as he said he would.

Everything was done to a high level while being extremely clean and tidy, going as far as even cleaning up dust from the top of the light fixture after drilling. They left our house and yard in perfect condition each day.

It was a pleasure to have Roddy in our home, and beyond doing great work he was also a kind and friendly person. His associate and apprentice represented AEI well, and were equally as great as Roddy himself.
