Free Air Mechanical Install my heat pump several years ago they did a great job and surpassed all my expectations. Recently I needed to have the compressor relocated and mounted on the wall. They did an excellent job and were able to repair damage done to the piping by the deck repair contractors at no extra cost. I've been using Free Air Mechanical as my go-to HVAC service team since I moved into my house about ten years ago. They saved me thousands by fixing my AC unit when the previous guy said I had to replace the whole thing. And it's still alive and running. After that, I saved Petko's card and call him whenever I need help. Recently I called them and they came out the next day and did a check on my furnace after the motor was making funny noises. They gave me peace of mind that all was well and if the motor does blow out I could call them and they could fix it within a day. I went to Free Air for a complete HVAC installation in my new home. They are the best in the business. Petko/Gencho take the time to explain every step, offer competitive pricing, and are always responsive/punctual.

I had a problem with my upstairs ac unit from the very beginning when it was installed by a contractor from the home warranty company. The fix I wanted was simple. Recover the refrigerant change the filter dryer and replace the refrigerant and make sure the pressures were good. Everyone I called, the big guys and others, always said “well we can only send out a tech and then they’ll have to put everything together and then give you estimate and it’s $xxxx number of dollars just for the tech to come out. And the prices they quoted were astronomical. So each time I was out that service call fee because I never ended up going with them.

But when I called Free Air Mechanical it was as if I was transported back in time! I told them what I wanted done and he gave an estimate right there on the phone. And that price was phenomenal.

They came out the very next morning and they were even 20 mins early. They did a PERFECT JOB, exactly how it is supposed to be done. They did not cut any corners and they were fast and efficient. They did exactly what we talked about and even checked the downstairs ac just to be thorough. AC is working perfectly and I couldn’t be happier!

This company truly represents what life used to be like! Honest and thorough and doing a great job just for the sake of doing a great job. I am so happy I found them and I will ONLY be calling them from now on AND I will be referring everyone I know to them from here on out.

We just got our central AC replaced by Free Air Mechanical and they were great! Very reasonable cost and were able to get us in quickly. They arrived for the job on time and had everything done and cleaned up within 4 hours. Highly recommend!

This company serviced my mini split system less than a year ago (at an extravagant cost) and now it is no longer blowing cold air. You would think their service would last at least one year, I guess not. I do not recommend this company.

What I have described is all true and the experience I had with you. Just because the system worked the moment you left does not indicate it was a quality repair. I would have hoped your workmanship would have lasted at least one year. I hope by posting my experience will help future customers make informed decisions and seek repair assistance elsewhere.

I wish i could remember the techs name who came to diagnose the problem, it he'll be back later today to fix it! he was super sweet and pretty much told me the problem about 10 minutes after he got here. very knowledgeable and i'm very VERY grateful they came same day. i called over 15 businesses... that's not even an exaggeration. not one company could come out same day, but this company??? called, cut right to the chase and he said alright someone will be there within an hour and a half. short, sweet, efficient. i like it, i don't need all that small talk im dying in my house it's 90 degrees lets skip all that 😅

Petko and his team were very communicative, helpful, and did a great job while repairing a mini split system that have been damaged by another trade. They were able to accommodate us into their schedule and make not only our tenant, but also our company, very happy! I would recommend them for your project as well!

Free Air Mechanical assisted us in reinstalling the air handlers in two units of our HOA. They did an excellent job, showing professionalism, technical expertise, and attention throughout the whole process. Their prices are also extremely competitive; we compared them with other bids before giving them the job.

Prompt, professional, and courteous. We were referred to Petko and very happy with our service. We had a motor replaced, ducting rebuilt, and Freon serviced. Their price was fair for San Diego region compared to other quotes. But most importantly they are a small business with 25+ year of AC experience. You do not have to deal with big brand name companies who try to sell you on everything. Petko and his son were focused on getting my AC fixed ASAP and I was very happy with their work!

Highly recommend! Even though they're closed on Sunday. I received a call back to set up an appointment for Monday. My fan would not shut off on the furnace.They diagnosed the problem quickly. They didn't have the exact electrical board. But ran to pick one up and get it installed. Respectful and professional!
