We recently hired Koch & Associates Landscaping to completely re-do our front and back yard, and we could not be happier with the experience. Doug was incredibly knowledgeable, thoughtful, and diligent in helping us design a space that fits our family’s needs perfectly. When we unexpectedly had to change plans due to emergency tree removal, he rolled with it without hesitation and came up with a fantastic alternative design that we ended up loving even more.

The construction process was exceptionally smooth and efficient. Garrett, our construction manager, was outstanding — friendly, communicative, and on top of every detail. He kept us informed every step of the way, coordinated seamlessly with our neighbors on fence work, and worked closely with our concrete contractor to ensure everything tied together beautifully.

Rosa in the office was also wonderful to work with. She handled billing promptly and professionally, and even went above and beyond to assist our neighbor with a few unique requests.

Koch & Associates is truly a gem. Their team is talented, hardworking, and a joy to partner with. We absolutely love our new yard and are so grateful to have chosen them for this project. Highly recommend!

I reached out to several landscapers for quotes on the following landscaping: 1. Removing roughly 500 square feet of concrete pavers in the backyard and replacing it with artificial turf, as well as planting vines along the walls. 2. Leveling the existing sandstone and filling the gaps with decomposed granite. 3. Replacing the steep concrete steps in the backyard with a more gradual wooden step-down. 4. Removing existing concrete driveway and replacing it with pavers.

John arrived punctually for the estimation. He inquired about the project's specifics, took photos, and measured the area. The entire project spanned two weeks. About a week after his visit, he provided a competitive quote compared to other landscaping companies.

Throughout the process, John was communicative. He consistently check in and also provided samples for the mulch, artificial turf and pavers for us to choose from. He was incredibly courteous and attentive during the whole project!

I reached out to H&J Landscaping, a Fremont-based company that offers concrete and landscaping services. I needed to hire a landscaper company for this project involving a small concrete patio and paver installation. The scope also involved the removal of an old deck and bricks & install a new concrete cement patio from the area. John, the representative from the company, offered us a fair price and efficiently took care of our requirements. The hardscape project went well, and I'm happy with the results. I will work with them again on redoing my driveway with either paver stone or stamp concrete cement. John is a great landscaper that offers very reasonable price for his services.

If I had the option to award this company 10 stars, I absolutely would. There's no need to search any further for a top-notch landscaper. H&J Landscaping Services is not only incredibly cooperative, but they are also considerate of your budget while delivering truly outstanding work.

It's hard to express just how delighted I am with the transformation that Jimmy and his team from H&J Landscaping Services achieved at my rental property. Their results went well beyond what I had anticipated.

My tenants had unfortunately let the landscaping & even the cement driveway deteriorate, leading to the demise of certain plants and trees. Other areas, like the tree and retaining wall flower beds, had become overgrown, overrun with weeds and dead leaves – particularly a once-lovely pea gravel pathway that meandered from the front walkway through oak trees to the backyard gate.

Jimmy and his crew efficiently removed the lifeless plants and trees, then revitalized all the other vegetation on the premises. They introduced new trees, flowers, and shrubs; diligently weeded and then mulched the beds after laying down weed barriers. The overall effect was splendid. However, their reconstruction of the pea gravel pathway & paver walkway, previously lost beneath a sea of dead leaves and weeds, left me utterly amazed. The pavers pathway now stands as a true highlight of the front yard, having been transformed into something even more beautiful than its previous state.

Jimmy's demeanor is friendly and professional, and his landscaping installation expertise is apparent. Working with him was a breeze, and this landscaper company managed to adhere comfortably within my budget.

I initially had some concerns when they began removing the stamped concrete driveway and walkway, as the clean-up didn't meet my expectations. There were a few tiles to adjust once the remaining sand pile was removed from the lower driveway section, and some loose edge tiles that needed to be firmed up and this repair was done promptly.

I received numerous compliments from my neighbors, and I would enthusiastically recommend their services and consider hiring them for another paver installation project in the future.

A true landscaping professional. The are extremely communicative throughout the project's preparation and execution. The are receptive to our ideas and made great suggestions. Our yard before him was a complete disaster (Artificial grass), but now he has transformed it into a yard we are happy to come home to! The pricing are quite competitive and affordable.
I would strongly suggest him for any garden project! We will use him again later this year for a full artificial grass installation!

It was great to work with Jaime & the team. My backyard looks so much better now & ready for summer. We did pavers, retaining wall & turf install. Quality of work is amazing & they keep the timings of the project. Jaime is quick to respond & get access to. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking for some landscaping work. There were some rainy days in our project but I loved the fact that work did not stop. They left the place clean & nice removing all the debris & materials so its a very smooth execution. Addition of lights on the wall makes it look amazing too.

We hired Jamie for a front and backyard landscaping project. Initially, he was somewhat responsive and appeared professional before we gave him a contract. As he started the work, it was a total disaster and mismanagement. Over the seven weeks that he started the work, his scheduling was a complete mess--workers showed up unpredictably, sometimes just one or two, and often disappeared after a few hours. When I attempted to get updates, Jamie bombarded me with endless excuses, such as the truck breaking down, his machine's belt breaking down, and personal emergencies. His dishonesty made matters worse; he frequently lied about having spoken with me or leaving voicemails that never existed, despite our patience and a 20%, which we paid him, barely any work was done. He was consistently trying to get more money by saying that work would start picking up the pace. After wasting two months and a mess in my front and backyard, I had no other option but to ask him to leave. I also think he can not handle complicated project, and it was mistake on my part going by photos that are posted.
