Elena was very helpful she helped me find the Monier concrete tiles to replace a few broken pieces on my roof. I will definitely recommend them if you need to replace tiles they have a good collection in their yard.

I adore my roof, solar, and gutters. It makes me confident that my house is safe and protected from the top down.

I got 3-4 quotes and Century was a little under the top quote, but that makes sense when you consider I got Ultra HD shingles, steel gutters custom made on premise, new siding, fireplace caps, skylights, and an entire solar system plus paid extra for a longer warranty. Well worth it given how impeccably the work turned out and the attention to detail his crew gave to each element of the job. They were additionally flexible to work with other contractors to enable them to put in insulation and lights while still getting the job done.

The most challenging part of the job was timing to get started. Because of Tony's reputation (I learned about him from a friend who also have a beautiful new roof), he books up months ahead so his quoted start date was the farthest out and then we got impacted by weather and manufacturer shortage of panels.

However Tony was also flexible around our schedule for starting the job and once we were a go the job moved quickly and our massive roof was done in 2 weeks plus inspections. He checked in every couple of days with updates as things changed (and they do change as you should expect all house projects to I've learned) but always had solutions. The only thing his team couldn't do was finish the ceiling/wall edge under my skylights that was exposed as the skylight was a different size than originally planned from the manufacturer. Every time I had a question Tony had great advice - he was right a lot.

The team was super nice, respectful, responsive, and flexible. They take real pride in their work. The gutters especially - we still rave about them all the time, months later.

To top if off I'm getting money back from PG&E each month which is exactly what Tony calculated - I wanted a bit more than I was using before so I feel well prepared as my electrical needs grow in the future.

Century is the first company I call now for any roof, solar, or related work - and the first I recommend.

-10 years ago Century Roof and Tile repaired a leaking roof and to this day it's good without issues.

We had a small fire which took out a 100 amp branch circuit feeding our back yard. Because there were some sensitive things on that circuit, we needed it back up and running ASAP. Century had done our roof and solar array several years ago. Because they had done such a great job then, they were the first I thought of to help us out this time.

On Monday, Elena responded first and quickly got Tony involved. They inspected on Tuesday. As it was a large job to repull the entire circuit, they needed to order materials and schedule the crew. They arrived on Friday and did all of the demo and setup. Slight hiccup on one item, but they handled that and powered through. Finished up early on Monday and we were back in business.

Century will be first on my list for any future electrical, roofing, or solar work.

Only a few years ago we knew from the very start that Tony Diaz and his Century Roofing and Solar Team were going to make our new roofing replacement project seamless. This was not about installing another new layer of roofing materials on an existing roof but worse; the removal of a shack roof, laying down a new roofing membrane then installing a certified new Century Roof. Century Solar installed solar panels on my composite roof and I couldn't be happier. Tony Diaz and his team's knowledge, attention to detail and craftsmanship in installing my solar system was simply phenomenal. I didn't realize how complex an installation could be. Century Roof and Solar installed solar panels on my roof that Century had installed some years ago(that installation went perfectly). They also performed some roof repairs, cleaned the gutters, installed gutter screens and metal caps on exposed beams. No problems whatsoever with any of the work. The communication from this company is outstanding as is the quality of their work. I recommend them for any roofing task and for solar installations without reservation.

From start (bids), to finish (see photos) Tony and the entire Century crew have delivered exceptionally on every promise made up front. I am a very detail-oriented person and, thus, asked Tony many questions as the project progressed, but he was extremely patient with me as each step was completed, and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality job (new roof and solar) that was done on time and on budget. I honestly wish he was in charge of getting the local roads repaired, 'cause I know it would get done!

We were very pleased with a roof repair they did in 2004. So in the Fall of 2019 we got two bids for a new roof and Century’s bid was clear, detailed and came in under the other one. We also had them replace our roof insulation. Their crew was professional and respectful of our property. At the end of the day, the crew always cleaned up.

When I shop my solar project, I was suggested to put the solar panels on ground racks instead of roof, or change the roof area under the solar panels from tile to shingles because my roof is light weight tile (some people call it Spanish roof). I contact Tony, who did my roof 20 years ago and found that Century do solar project too, and they can install the Sunpower panels on my roof. Installation and roof repair completed professionally within my expected timeframe. Unluckly, we had unexpected issues with the inspection. It is my old house problem, nothing due to the solar system, but Tony is so nice to solve the issue for me and get my permit. THANK YOU TONY.

I want to say up front that the owner has never asked me to write a review. This review is probably 13 years late but a recent experience prompted me to give Century Roof and Solar a BIG THUMBS up. 10 years after we purchased our home (new from the builder) we had some water intrusion problems, one that happened with the roof after a horrendous storm. We had some emergency work done by another roofing outfit on a weekend so price was NOT commensurate with work. After having a discussion with another close family member who had Century Roof and Solar (Tony) install a complete new tile roof, we gave Tony a call. Tony was extremely familiar with our specific roof product (he has testified as an expert witness on this type of roof) and we hired Tony to be our eyes and ears on our roof when our builder would be having their own "expert" examine the roof. During that inspection, Tony found many problems with the manner in which the roof had been installed and educated us so well that we prevailed in a court action against our builder. We then hired Tony to replace one third of the roof and have never since had a problem. During the entire time we were "fighting" with our builder and preparing for our day in court, Tony was always graciously there to answer our questions and continue to further educate us. He connected me with the roof manufacturer as well to enable us to become somewhat of experts ourselves. Afterward we hired Tony for a small rodent control job relating to the roof but other than that had no contact with him. Fast Forward 10 or 12 years to the summer of 2019 when I called Tony somewhat desperate seeking guidance on a roof matter our buyers were trying to turn a mole hill into a mountain. Tony was on vacation and called me back within an hour (it would have been faster but for poor cell phone service in his somewhat remote location). He spent 10 or 15 minutes of his family time talking to me about the situation and advising me. Tony is the ABSOLUTE BEST in the ROOFING industry. Tony is highly knowledgeable and patiently will share and explain the technical aspects of any roof installation. He is a person and business man of HIGHEST INTEGRITY. Tony's customer service is beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. As I recall from back in 2006 his staff was equally helpful when we were in an ugly situation. I trust Century Roof and Solar without a single doubt to do what is right for me and my roofing situation. He will always make recommendations and let you know what is critical, and what can wait. Tony I always wish you the best in your business.

I was recently considering a new roof and solar array installation at my home in San Ramon and called Century Roof and Solar for a bid. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, this project had to be shelved for a couple years. However, since Tony Diaz, the owner of Century Roof and Solar in Hayward, CA, is also a fully licensed electrician he offered to do a needed upgrade to my main electrical panel in advance of the new solar system. He did a perfect job of installing a beautiful, modern, new “solar ready” main panel from which he also ran a new arc-fault protected 50amp outlet for EV charging. He accomplished this at price parity with another local electrician’s bid, but went beyond the other offer by including a whole-house surge protector in this new panel and handling the stucco patch around the panel “in house.” My other bidder on the job specified that “stucco patch to be done by others.” Since I don’t have ready access to such a technician this was a big plus in terms of choosing Tony for the project.

Tony managed to get my job done in one day, despite the rainy weather that greeted our agreed-upon installation day. Thus I was not be left without power over night in mid-March. To accomplish this there had to be some very adroit interactions with both the PG&E representative and the city inspector. In this respect Tony’s experience, knowledge and communication talents really did shine.

Communication with Tony, before and after the job was done, was clear, prompt and easy. He entertained all my questions and concerns without hesitation, condescension, or sense that I was over-burdening him. It is also noteworthy how respectfully and smoothly the Century Roofing team works together. As a home-owner who likes to hover a bit and learn what he can when projects are ongoing, I can say they were a pleasure to be around. Also Tony’s plain-spoken and infectious enthusiasm for the project at hand has left me solidly feeling that I received the highest possible value for the money spent. I now have total confidence that when we finally engage in the roof and solar project it too will be a high-value job, superbly done.

About six years ago we called Century Roof and Solar after talking to some people who had a roof done by them. I had gotten an excellent review from them, so decided to call. Tony came out to give us an estimate. But, after looking at the roof, he said that it didn't look like it needed to be replaced yet and that we could probably get another five years out of it. We called Century Roof and Solar again six years later to ask for an estimate. I had also talked to a couple of other people who have had a roof replaced by Century Roof and Solar in the meantime. They all seemed pleased. We decided to go ahead. Having a total roof replacement isn't for the faint of heart because it is loud and and it shakes the house quite a lot. My husband was really impressed with the workers' attention to detail and the fact that they didn't just rush through to get the job finished as soon as possible. The crew members were friendly and hard workers. They worked steadily all day each day. My husband said that the quality of the roof seems better than what he had been expecting. The whole project was very professional. Although I had very limited contact with the office staff, they were pleasant and helpful when I was in contact with them. Tony is very personable and was very attentive when we had questions or concerns. Very happy to have a new roof and very happy with Century Roof and Solar.

I contacted Century Roof and Solar around six months ago to bid on replacing my roof and installing solar. This is an involved and time-consuming process, and they were patient with me every step of the way - answering all my questions and explaining everything I cared to understand. Tony has a wealth of both historical and current knowledge regarding the solar industry in general, and the details of installing in California specifically.

They were patient while we negotiated various approvals with our HOA, and when we were finally ready to go they were quick and efficient - removing the old roof, patching water damage they discovered, installing the new decking, sheathing, and shingles, and adding the solar setup in only six working days.

Our overall experience with this company and its staff was phenomenal. The onsite personnel were happy to answer any questions I had, would immediately come to me for approval on any incidental items, and overall seemed to do things very much by the book - a trait I personally very much appreciate. I'm far from an expert in roofing, but the work and materials all look great and are of high quality. I've had several neighbors ask me about the company based on the appearance of their work. Permits and inspections were handled effectively, and we're very much enjoying our new roof and solar.

I would not hesitate to use Century Roof and Solar again, and fully intend to contact them in the future to bid on a battery backup system.

Tony is very personable and we had a great conversation on our initial phone call. His employee, Emilio, came the next day to assess our project. Tony promptly provided an estimate and quoted a general time frame for starting the work due to their busy schedule.
