My service rep Carmelo was very professional, friendly and completed the job in a timely matter. He represents the company very well! Just wish the service wasn’t so expensive!!

Greenstar Home Services / RighTime Home Services are horrible companies. They did the worst installation of my Hvac system, then refused to repair the damage. My house leaks EVERY time it rains, because they cut holes in my roof and didn't properly seal the holes. They used the old vent tubing from the old system instead of new tubing to go with the new system. Then they patched over the holes in the old vent tubing. They didn't properly seal anything regarding the new installation. They attempted to repair the errors, but they got frustrated because I kept calling in for repair service and the worker who came out told me they were not coming back any more. After that they refused to take my call. That was all just the initial installation. I called a few weeks back because there is something new going wrong and actually got someone to come out and check to see what was going. The technician sent pictures of the installation and informed them of the new issue and I was told the manager would give me a call. Never received that call back, and I called the company for 2 weeks straight requesting a call back to see if something was going to be done. Like I said, still waiting on that call back, that was a month ago. Don't use this company people THEY ARE NO GOOD!! Trust me.

Richard Hauser came to my house on 12/5/25 he was very professional and knowledgeable he repaired my furnace and air conditioner in no time at all. He asked me a few questions and knew exactly what to do. I am highly satisfied with the job Mr. Hauser did at my house.

After the system was installed, it was unable to pass inspection. This company uses a third party vendor to perform an inspection prior to calling the city to finalize the permit. The inspector noted a problem with an inspection port. Greenstar has made no serious effort to resolve the issue. Technicians came out twice and were unable to demonstrate that the port actually worked. I have spoken with them a half dozen times with no resolution, only empty promises to have someone call me back. It has been 6 months and the possibility remains that they performed a faulty installation. The system runs great, it just might not be maintainable.

Greenstar Home Services was genuinely awesome. The technician (my man, Hugo!) was great at collaborating with me about all the options and best way to move forward with my AC repair. I got much more out of the service than just a repair. I give Greenstar my highest recommendation. 🙏

Greenstar always provides amazing customer service and services. Our most recent service was provided by Jelani. He was exceptional. He was on time, kind, professional, efficient, and handled all of our needs. I could not recommend his services high enough. Thank you

We have service contract with the company and receive a major check-up every six months. Their technicians are very professional on checking our furnace and AC. love the service

My experience with Gr. Str. Home Serv. was not pleasant. After making an appt with them to assess a problem with a newly in8t furn &AC to come between 12 & 4 (for 3 days) and after numerous phone calls & learning the warranty has no priority and only one tech to service my problem a friendly tech arrived at 7:00 PM 3 days late. Would I recommend this service NEVER. They are by far the WORST!!!
-
They had no problem taking my money, but when their techs came out and did a horrible job after I forked over $5k and I asked them to come back because the AC is in worse condition than before they tried to fix it, they GHOSTED me.... I called customer service 3 times about my appointment and they were supposed to send the dispatch to call me. I still have not heard back from them. I don't think I trust their warranty. DO NOT USE THEM. You are better off going with another service.

🚨Update- Ritetime/Green Star management/owner:
Replying to your comment....
This is the problem! We've been reaching out and NO ONE from management has called us back. SEVERAL times we've called and no call back. Disappointing to say the least!
Improper HVAC Installation and Failure to Respond** installation performed by Right Time / Green Star, a company we were referred to through Home Depot. While the installation initially appeared satisfactory, serious long-term issues have arisen due to improper installation practices, compounded by a complete lack of follow-up or accountability from management.
Due to the L-shaped design of our home, the installers ran refrigerant lines, tubing, and wiring directly across the roof from the front of the house to the electrical panel. These lines were installed tightly against the roof surface, leaving no clearance for proper water drainage. Our home, built in the late 1950s, has never experienced this much water pooling in this area prior to this installation. Since the installation, water now collects excessively due to the obstruction created by the HVAC lines, causing roof damage and accelerating deterioration.
As licensed professionals, the installers should have anticipated this issue and taken preventative measures, such as proper spacing, elevation, or shimming, to allow water to flow freely. Their failure to do so constitutes negligent workmanship.
We are now required to replace our garage roof, and the placement of these HVAC lines has significantly increased the cost and complexity of the project. A technician from your company confirmed the issue during a service visit and advised that management would contact us. That visit occurred over two weeks ago. Despite multiple phone calls and messages, no one from management has responded.
We are not requesting that the company pay for our roof. We are requesting a professional solution, options for correcting or rerouting the HVAC lines, and a clear estimate so repairs can proceed. The failure to respond is unacceptable.
If this matter is not resolved promptly, we will pursue alternative remedies, including filing complaints with Home Depot corporate, the Better Business Bureau, and the appropriate contractor licensing authorities. -
Experience employees working as one great unit. Making the experience easier for first time customer. Trustworthy employee

The customer service was exemplary, as they called to speak with me and inform me the technician would be at my home in the agreed to window, and then again to let me know the technician was 30 minutes away. I appreciate that they had someone call. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained things in a very easy to follow manner.

I had a new HVAC unit installed three months ago. The first time I was going to use the heater it worked for about an hour then stopped working. I called and they sent someone out the same day. Very professional and courteous repair man came to the house. He explained everything he did and took photos to show me. I was very impressed By the service man.

The salesperson was professional and knowledgeable. The sales process was smooth and speedy. However, the installation is a different story. No workers showed up on the promised date, and the project was delayed by a day to start. Now, it’s been 10 days into the project, and the installation is still incomplete, even though it was supposed to be a two-day job.
The system still shows a critical error message that needs immediate attention, but the technicians can’t offer a solid solution.
Despite these issues, the installation team was professional and courteous. At this time, I am still waiting for a resolution to enjoy a safe and reliable system. -
Very disappointed ☹️ with the service. Waited all day for service had to call four times.told them I thought the problem was with the remote. They stated it was being ordered
I had to buy one. Tech finally came today with out the remote. He tells me remote was never ordered and it will cost $800. I had this product for nine years never had a problem. Your service needs to be up graded. I was told that manager would call me
Never happened -
Richard Hauser was sent after we bought a new Air Conditioner and furnace. Mr. Hauser came because we had repairs needed after the installation. Mr. Hauser was very friendly and explained everything to me. Then he got to work, and his repair was fast, clean, and professional. We are very happy with the installation after Richard Haser fixed everything.

First off, let me say that we are pleased with our replacement HVAC unit. It cost us a little less than it would have cost to repair our original HVAC unit. We look forward to lower gas and electricity costs due to a more efficient system.
This has been a fiasco since the beginning and a very long process. Installers showed up one day earlier (8/12) before my scheduled appointment (8/13). They were professional and friendly. Install was completed same day. Next was third party/iPermit inspection and testing of system. I had to call them direct because they didn't call me within 10 business days. Representative from iPermit gave me appt for 8/28. The tech, Josh was professional and friendly. He called office while at my home and got me a date of 9/17 for the city inspection. However, I found out around 7:30am on 9/17 that no inspection was scheduled by iPermit after looking up my permit info on City of L.A. Dept. of Building and Safety portal. I contacted the appropriate dept through 311 and was able to schedule inspection for next day, 9/17. I called GreenStar/Quality Assurance Mgr and the iPermit representative to share my extreme disappointment. On 9/17, the city inspection failed with two infractions. Called GreenStar/QAM and she scheduled repair/maintenance tech for 9/30. Tech cleared infractions. On 10/6, advised GreenStar/QAM that I would call 311 and schedule my FINAL inspection for week of 10/20. I was advised she would handle getting it scheduled. After some system scheduling issues with the portal, on 10/9, QAM confirmed with me my appt was for 10/18. I accessed portal and saw the appointment :)
On 10/18, PASSED INSPECTION!!! Thank you Richard/GreenStar repair/maintenance tech for fixing what the installers had done incorrectly and for being a fantastic person. -
This was my first time buying an air conditioner. I was nervous about such a big investment but I’m so glad I bought one. It is more comfortable in my home, and it increases the property value. I’m very thankful for Home Depot/GreenStar Home Services. Aaron made the whole process easy and stress-free. He took time to explain everything, helped me choose the right unit for my yard, and set me up with financing that fits my budget. Instead of paying everything upfront like other companies wanted, I got a higher-quality system, permits, inspection, and warranties that give me peace of mind for a reasonable monthly cost. Installation was also smooth and professional. Hugo worked hard, paid attention to every detail, and even helped me set up the app before leaving. This whole experience was easier than I expected, and I truly feel taken care of.

We had a seasonal heating system maintenance visit yesterday and Hugo, the technician, was great! Got a detailed report on how our ancient heater is doing and make sure it was connected and flowing the way it should. Since we haven't used the heater since April it was time. Scheduling and in person we received great and quick customer service. First time using Greenstar/Rightime, will definitely schedule them in the future!

We recently had an A/C mini split system installed, and the entire experience was excellent from start to finish. The installation team was professional, efficient, and left everything clean and tidy. I’d especially like to thank Dmitry, our salesperson, for his outstanding attention to detail and for managing the project with such care. He explained all our options clearly, followed up throughout the process, and made sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking for quality work and exceptional customer service!

My name is Paul Casillas. I purchased my air conditioner quite some time ago. About two years ago it started having issues, and was not blowing cold air. Greenstar came to fix it. Put some liquid in it and pumped in some freon, charged my a bunch and moved on. It worked for a bit but they had to come back the following summer. This time they told me they needed to put a substance in that would fix the leak and pump it full of freon again. They tried to charge me about 1800 total for this repair (for the guy to literally just sit there and pump stuff into my system). They were nice enough to give me a discount and I paid. I finished out the summer and it was fine. I also asked if they needed to return after 48 to 72 hours and check the system and they said no. I just recently turned on my air and once again its not working. So I need them to come back. I tried to call and ask if they could come back and fix since its is the same issue that has been going on for two years now. They told me there work is only guaranteed for 3 months (what a joke, just enough time for the freon to run out and for them to come rip me off again). I asked a manager to call me so we would discuss the situation, never even got a call. I really loved this company but as of late they have just ripped me off. They over charge, do not return calls, and do not actually take care of your issues.
