Very good selection of all sizes and types of trees. Nice helpful sales person. Very expensive! We purchased our tree from another nursery for half the price.

After our neighbors removed some of their mature trees we needed to get some greenery back in our lives fast. Our regular nursery was closed on Sunday so my wife and I decided to try MNV. That's when we met Rick "the smile" Wright. Turns out that the first person we meet at Moon Valley Nurseries was one of the landscape designers.

Rick was so helpful in driving us around and answering our questions in great detail, I feel like we got a free consultation. After helping us to pick the exact trees we were looking for he set us up for installation just a few days later.

I was more that a little worried about some guys trampling all over my yard and am not the most assertive homeowner, but it turned out to be just fine. After finalizing the details of our delivery with John, he assured me that Jessie's crew would be careful.

Sure enough Jessie and crew showed up with our trees and big smiles. They worked so hard to get the holes dug into our yard and despite the abundance of rocks in the ground they were very careful to protect our new grass and existing plants. With surgical precision they placed the trees in their new home and cleaned everything up.

From beginning to end the process was positive. I think that part of the reason I enjoyed it so much was because everyone that i dealt with at MVN seemed full of joy and was genuinely pleasant to be around. They left my wife and I looking for other places in our yard to put more trees.
Rick told us about a "cocktail tree" that got us thinking. I think that may be next for us.

We purchased a peach cocktail tree, a fig tree and a pomegranate tree with Rick Wright about 3-4 months ago. The peach tree has both peach leave curl and bacteria spot diseases. Almost 95% of the leaves have bacteria spots now. I called Rick early today and he said he was busy with a customer in the fields. He promised to call me later when he got back to the office. No response until 5 pm. So i called again. This time he was in the office but he said it was impossible to talk to me because a customer walked in. I was very disappointed at his attitude and the customer service he provided. He probably doesn't care about his old customers because he can only earn his commission through new purchases.

Follow up:
We went to Moon Valley last Sunday because Rick finally promised to do something. We met the manager @ La Verne location. He said that the peach trees at the la verne location has the same problem. They are not peach leave curl or bacteria spot. They are just doing bad because of the hot weather. He also claimed that we didn't have an arborist to look at our tree so we cannot just say that's peach leave curl or bacteria spot disease. However, later on, Rick told us that's aphids. These guys don't know what they are doing and they are just making things up. I will definitely find my arborist friend and let him look at the tree for us! This place sells trees with disease to customers! Watch out!

Anthony came to my property, vetted the spots for the trees I had picked, and made some very helpful suggestions on what could/couldn't work in the space, why, and gave me perspective as to what would happen in different seasons.

He helped hand select trees to ensure we had the healthiest, fullest plants to start with.

The delivery team was amazing. Very professional, organized, and cleaned up after delivery. Amazingly hard work.

I am very happy with the work they did and will certainly be returning once a few other outdoor projects wrap up.

A few years ago, my wife and I purchased a Canary Island palm from Moon Nursery. A beautiful addition that has continued to thrive through the years. I can’t say enough good things as Patrick spent a good amount of time with me reviewing pictures and even walked me through what items to purchase to bring our beautiful palm back to full health! Recently, I had two trees installed on my property, and the crew that handled the job made the entire experience stand out. From the moment they arrived, it was clear they took pride in their work. Twenty acres and open to the public. This nursery didn't actually have what I called about. But, they were kind. It's a lovely set up with ample parking and spacious aisles to view the offerings. They have various financial arrangements for purchasing. They have large metal dinosaurs and a huge giraffe..so take the children! Parking is adequate, prices were standard and the service was welcoming.
