Made an appointment and the employee was awesome. He was polite and had a lot of knowledge of the nurserys items/inventory and delivery dates. Will definitely return.

Armando Guevara and his crew planted 4 beautiful large trees for us. They were very courteous and did a great job, I would recommend Moon Valley Nursery to anyone.

Had a great experience with Eric Cordova. Great customer service will be back. Loaded us up and took extra care ensuring our trees wouldn't receive any damage.

Frank and his crew planted 3 beautiful large trees for us. They were very courteous and did a great job, I would recommend Moon Valley Nursery to anyone. The trees were expensive. However, they are "boxed" trees, not in 20 (?) Gallon cans, which means they have been maintained for a long time. Our Flowering Pears, had been beautiful. However, they became infected with Erwinia amylovora ("Fire Blight,"), a bacterium that is almost impossible to eradicate as, thanks to honey bees, it is then forever more, inside the plant and there is no known spray to use on it. It is transmitted to the tree by bees, in the Spring when the tree blossoms. The trees looked like they had been sprayed with "napalm". It was sickening. (who could guess...destructive bees!) After fighting this for several years, we made the decision to have them removed. Well, my wife and I are in our seventies and can"t wait around twenty years for new trees to grow. Moon Valley, with it's already mature trees, was the answer to that problem. Moon Valley was recommended and we went with them. Paradise Valley Nursery was also another option, but we went with Moon Valley as their operation seemed well organized and professional. We purchased their warranty (also expensive) and we'll see how it goes. They offer "free planting", but that only applies to each single purchase of $500 or more for each purchase. If you need trees already mature, this is the place. They also offered interest free financing for twelve months on our purchases.

Just spoke with Chris at MOON VALLEY NURSERIES. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I am 2 hours from their business but I will make the trip and purchase Mexican Bird of Paradise from them because of the exceptional service experience. Thank you Chris.

I had not used Moon Nursery before, but the process was not good. I purchased an Asian pear tree over the phone. I was told it was on site and I could pick it up anytime. I told him I would pick it up next Friday. Cashier: rickw Date: 04/25/2020 Pick up date I told them: 05/01/2020
I went to pick it up; it was not there. I say that's weird they told me it was here since I ordered it. I was told by a manager that he would know if it was there and it was not. They ordered it and said it would take a few weeks (rather condescending).
Got a phone call back stating it was in, but was in poor condition; maybe some broken branches and did not want to sell it to me. I agreed. He said he had a bigger one, but it was $100.00 more (hmmm thinking bait and switch). I told them for all the trouble I would go $75.00 more. He said he would check with manager.
I had to call him back (and I am the customer). He said the manager was okay with that we will sell it for $300. I asked how he wanted me to pay, he stated he would call me tomorrow and get the information. NO call the next day NOR the entire week during May 11th to the 15th. NO call monday the 18th.
I called on Tuesday, talked to a person who did not want me to cancel and said that he would make sure that person got back to me THAT day. No call back; nor on Wednesday. I called back today 5/21 and cancelled the order.
Unbelievably poor communication and customer service. I have lots of friends in my community that are contractors, city planners, and residents that I will recommend they NOT do business with Moon Nursery--I guess my order was to small and insignificant. -
It's like visiting a used car dealership. Sales is friendly at first but if you're just looking or want to think about it, then they are not much help and are downright a-holes. Ended up getting my plants at Armstrong Garden for less and much better customer service. Never going to Moon Valley Nurseries again.

They have a good selection of citrus trees. I purchased two Washington navel trees about 9 months ago and they have held up very well compared to my other citrus trees I got from various other nurseries. I think I spent around 15-20% more for them here though.

Courteous, friendly and helpful. Easy transaction. Huge variety! One stop shop.

So I got my tree, with what was left, and I was told it would be 59 bucks. With what slim pickings you had, I had no choice.Thinking I would get a decent discount for military veterans, I was giving 10%??? AND SOME HOW STILL MANAGED PAY 58??? Where is the DISCOUNT in that? Then after watching the youngster try and tie down my tree to my car he assured me it was secured.Well ,it wasn't and not only did I nearly lose my tree, I was almost rear ended because of it less than 100 ft from the nursery! I took it upon myself to thoroughly tie it down and made it home. I then called to voice my concern of the situation, and the guy who answered wasn't very receptive of that criticism. Last time I come, along with every veteran I know!

Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, but their prices are pretty high. I paid $170 for 4 creeping fig plants , and just saw similar ones at Lowes for 9.98. I don't know all the differences between a nursery and Lowes/Home depot plants and why one is way more than the other , I just know the Lowes palms and plants are looking better than what I got.

Great tree selection. Knowledgeable landscape design, opportunities and guides. Non evergreen Plants are exposed to direct sunlight in the remote nursery yard. A great Christmas tree selection during holiday season. I've worked remote nursery yards before and I have designed landscapes before; and can say their designs are I'm sync with client home survey.

We found an add for Moon Valley Nurseries in the LA Times. We were looking for several large trees and a bunch of 15 gallon hedge plants. When we arrived at Moon Nurseries we were greeted by Leonard Marin (Nursery Professional) who spent a couple of hours finding just the right trees and hedge plants. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and helped us pick a crated California Pepper, Acacia and Crape Myrtle. In addition we purchased over 2 dozen Chinese Wax Privets and Podocarpus. Leonard came out to our house to help us plan what plants to pick and where to place them. Moon Nursery sent out a team of 5 friendly guys, who did a great job of planting all of the plants that we purchased. We would highly recommend purchasing your trees and shrubs from Moon Valley Nurseries! Our yard look fantastic!

First time call in $200x5 for five carolina cherry to be planted, everything included. Then same person, after some photo messages, when I tried to make an order, price became plant only. If planted, a few big hundred dollars more. They just behaved like auto dealers

Lied about the availability of a plant of $200 and caused me to drive RT 90 miles and 2.5 hrs just to find out they did not have, even they confirmed over the phone In the same afternoon discussed in details before I jumped on my trip.
When I arrived, I was greeted poorly, the same sales did not lead me to to the plant, just pointed to the nursery yard and said “ Over there behind the brushes.” Until I encountered a nursery worker who told me “No, we don’t have it.”
I won’t buy any plants from this place and carry them home and reminds me on a daily bases that bad experience. -
Beautiful nursery but very expensive. Half of my order was delivered wrong. More than a week and no corrective action. Can't get the rep to return my phone calls about it. Despite being open today, no one will answer the phone. Suspect they can see who is calling with caller ID. Very dissatisfied with how this issue is handled. The only redeeming feature was the planting crew and supersivor. Excellent guys. Should have stuck with Sunshine Growers in Ontario.

Nice people but not honest. I spent several thousand dollars and was assured planting was free. It was not. They charged me double per plant to plant each item.I was told it was for the extra soil and fertilizer they add. They added about a cup of soil and about a tablespoon of fertilizer. The plants were very small, not like the plants they promised. They also advertise free design. That's also not true. They charge $200 upfront to design your yard. If you use their design and purchase from them then they refund your money. False advertising...disappointed and would never go back.

Good luck to anyone who is willing to go to this location! The employees here only care about commission and will NOT return calls!! If you order a cocktail tree be prepared to spend a month and a half waiting and hounding 6 employees like we had to! They crew who delivers the trees are AMAZING and hard working, so it's awful they are working for a company like this! After 6 employees the ONLY one who cared to help us and call us was Dave I believe, so if you really want this place he's the only one I'd talk to! Good luck everyone!
