We had an issue with the thermostat circuit out of power. Tim quickly troubleshoot the source of the problem by checking panels, fuses, and making sure the A/C and furnace units were getting the right voltage. Excellent service!

Great experience. Very fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Would highly recommend! We had Allen come out and he was great. You can feel confident they will get the job done right and are very fairly priced.

We don't take enough time to acknowledge good service. And far too many people relate the price of that service to their overall experience.
Five or Free Electrical is not the cheapest service for your electrical needs but they were in line with the two other quotes I obtained from other experienced and licensed electricians.
I found them through an online search for electricians near me. I read the other customer reviews and found that most people had a highly rated experience, while a couple reviews were not pleased because the Tech was late, or they didn't get a prompt return phone call. Not to minimize the experience of those people, but I care about the quality of work, and we have all had plenty of companies show up late or have a service window between 8:00am and 6:00pm.
My experience: I filled out an online form to request an in-home estimate. The form took less than five minutes to provide basic contact information and a description of my job needs. I needed three (3) ceiling fans installed, replacement of six (6) existing ceiling lights with new lighting fixtures, and to have dimmer switches added for the new lighting. I received a phone call response to my submitted request in less than twenty (20) minutes. I scheduled an in-home quote to fit my schedule. On the day of my quote, Allen arrived early and waited in his vehicle until the appointment time. He arrived at my front door wearing a mask (we are still in a pandemic) and after contacting me (who was not wearing a mask), asked if I would be more comfortable if he took his mask off. I elected to have him remove his mask, but I appreciate that he respected that others may want him to wear the mask. Before entering my home, Allen put shoe covers on (all the Five or Free employees during my experience put shoe covers on when they entered and took them off as they exited). Allen did a great job at listening to my job vision, looking at the items that I had purchased, and explaining what would need to be done to complete the job. Allen provided an estimate, which as I stated was in line with the other quotes I had received from licensed electricians.
As most people do, I came at Allen with my pre-planned negotiating skills. Before I could finish my price break pitch, Allen was listing a number of reasons they offer discounts. I received a fair discount for my military service and another for being a retired First Responder. I scheduled the job with Allen.
On the day of the job, by text message I received a photo of my technician along with an introductory Bio. It seems simple, but there is a level of comfort knowing who is coming to your house. The Tech came early and just like Allen waited in his vehicle until the time of the appointment. He arrived with two assistants and introduced each of them prior to putting on their shoe covers and entering my house. They spent approximately ten hours at my house with a short lunch break. They covered all the work areas in plastic and cleaned extremely well prior to leaving. I am beyond pleased with the end results of their hard work, which should be obvious with the length of this review. You should always get numerous price quotes before deciding on a service provider. While in line with other quotes, you might find Five or Free on the high side, but my experience was fantastic.

Tim is a knowledgeable and courteous young man. He explained exactly what he needed to do and why he needed to do it. The only reason I did not pick this company was the price factor. Tim provided crazy discounts, but it was still out of my price range. The company missed five stars just because of price range only.

Eric from Five Or Free is my guardian angel! He was on time, very knowledgeable, thorough and quite frankly saved me from a possible bad situation from a previous job. He took extra steps in explaining everything to me in detail. I should have used Eric and this company from the get go and I learned the hard way that you need to go with professional electricians like this company. They will be my go to from here on out.

The team from Five or Free was fantastic! Alex came and surveyed my house and found that my sub-panel needed to be replaced and was a huge hazard. Evan and Eddie completed the job in one day and left my garage cleaner than it was before they came. Great work!

I contacted FiveOrFree Electrical Solutions about a problem I was having with a lighting circuit in my home. We scheduled an appointment and they showed up within the specified window. They quickly determined the problem was related to older wire connectors in one of the switch boxes and repaired the box for a reasonable fee. They also reviewed my breaker panel as it is very old and made recommendations on other work to be done and provided me with quotes. I would recommend FiveOrFree if you need some electrical work done on your home.

I hired Five or Free to mount and install a couple new ceiling fans for me and they did a great job throughout. Both the estimator and the techs who did the work were friendly, knowledgable and happy to answer questions.

I was especially impressed with Josh; he asked me all the right questions to ensure that the job got done exactly how I wanted rather than assuming, which I definitely appreciate. He was also more than happy to explain and go into more depth when asked, which I especially appreciate as a DIYer who tries to know his limits.

Another small touch that I wish was more common: In addition to the arrival window (which they were always on time for), they notify you through email and text when they're on the way rather than leaving you to wait and guess.

I definitely will look to them in the future when I need electrical work done.

Great service, fair pricing. Friendly technician, received his biography and photo before he arrived. He also called us about 15 min before arrival. Very Professional and courteous. Price quoted was about 1/3 less to 1/2 less than other quotes. I had a small job took only about 30 minutes. I easily saved about $150. Other quotes were $250, $300 & $500. I will use them again!

Prior to Eric showing up to estimate, I had spoken to several companies. My subpanels were tight and had no space for a 30amp 240v circuit. I liked how creative Eric was because he quickly came up with a workaround and provided a reasonable price quote. After this, I had reached out to him to clarify on some requirements and he was pretty responsive. I believe he and his company would be my go-to place for future electrical needs.

Allen was very professional in providing electrical services. He installed two exterior fixtures at our home. He was on time, explained the process before he started the work and installed the light fixtures, and they work as they should. I would recommend Allen and Five or Free Electrical Solutions to anyone who needed electrical services.

Alex gave me a very narrow arrival time when he was on the way. He understood what I wanted, and walked me through what he was looking at. He explained everything thoroughly, detailed the problems with a potential installation and clearly explained the options available. He also understood my reasoning in not proceeding with an installation at this point. Excellent customer service.

We needed new exterior lighting installed on each side of our garage. Tim arrived promptly and provided a fair estimate for the installation of two 18 inch lights. He was knowledgeable, friendly and pointed out a flaw on one of the lights. He even took time to look at an outlet that had been acting up and diagnosed the electricity was arching in the outlet and changed it out immediately. Tim left the outside of the house elegant and the inside safe.

Really great service from the initial visit to quote the job, through to the completion of the project, Five or Free really delivered. Damell really exemplified great customer service, taking his time to do the best job rather than quick and dirty, plus identifying what might actually be contributing to Ethernet issues.
