This team cleaned our air ducts, and the change is amazing. The worker was punctual and explained everything. Each vent and duct in our house was cleaned completely. Our HVAC system performs more efficiently and the air is cleaner. The personnel were polite and clean. We love their service and suggest them.

Jess is the real deal. He replaced our entire 30-year-old furnace and AC with a high-efficiency, 2-stage model at a much lower price than other companies. He prioritized our project since the unit died while we were in the house, and the weather was starting to get hot. He responded quickly to texts and calls, showed up when he said he would, and left the job clean. Jess patiently explained the different options, and did not try to steer us toward pricier models. He was also patient and knowledgeable with technical questions from my contractor dad and brother-in-law.

Great service and attitude

Josh Killen and the team at Killen Mechanical have been our first call for years. They handle all the service calls for our rental properties with total reliability. What really sets Josh apart is his technical knowledge. We have several properties with difficult mini-split systems that other HVAC techs simply won't touch or don't understand, but Josh handles them without issue.

On a personal note, I recently had him overhaul my entire home system. He fixed years of discomfort caused by pinched ducting and an undersized compressor that previous installers missed. Whether it is a complex commercial unit or a residential overhaul, Josh is the most professional and capable tech we have found.

I cannot recommend Killen Mechanical Inc. enough. After having a well-known “big name” HVAC company come out three or four times, my problem still was not resolved, and each visit felt like another attempt to upsell me instead of actually diagnosing the issue. Was actually told I need my whole system redone.

Then Josh from Killen Mechanical came out, and the difference was immediate. I pay close attention when people work in my home, and Josh was far more thorough than anyone before him. He checked panels and components that the other company never even looked at, and he took the time to actually diagnose what was going on. Best of all, he fixed the problem.

This is the second time we have used them and both times we couldn’t be more pleased. The first time 10 years ago they installed an HVAC system and did some new ductwork in our Bay Area home. This time they installed two whole house fans and three HVAC systems for our home in El Dorado Hills.
Josh and his team go above and beyond to accommodate and satisfy their customers. They are all extremely knowledgeable in their craft along with being courteous and respectful of your home. Josh takes pride in his work and is a man of extreme integrity and honesty, which is hard to come by these days. He is very communicative- responding to calls, emails and texts in a timely manner. Josh & his crew show up on time and work hard until the job is done. Killen Mechanical is very fair priced and I would not hesitate to highly recommend them.

Josh installed a new Air Conditioning unit. He and his crew are fantastic. They prepped and protected the area, installed the unit very nicely and cleaned up and tested everything. The cool air is amazing. I highly recommend them!

5 stars! Josh installed two units and a whole house fan. Installation was quick, clean, and handled with real expertise. Everything was explained clearly, and the work area was left spotless. The way we had things set up did not make sense, and Josh was able to figure everything out and recommend the best solutions. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be using them again in the future.
