We have used Prodigy Plumbing a few times now. They are very knowledgeable and courteous. They installed two faucets and checked our HVAC. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing Plumbing services.

Russell was great. Fixed another issue I had not previously noticed. He even went to the store to get an item his office did not have. Will request him next time. Also, was awesome with my kid who was very interested in what he was doing.

Russell did an excellent job, thank you! We arrived 20 minutes after him to our own home due to a crash and he had a complete calm demeanor which put us at ease. He took the time to explain our options and was very respectful the entire time as he helped determine where the leak was coming from in our house. Thanks Russell!

Prompt response, easy to work with and job well done on projects ranging from simple faucet leaks to three floors of pipe replacement. Highly recommend

Prodigy Plumbing was super easy to work with, they were accommodating, and were really efficient with scheduling and completing my repair. I would highly recommend Prodigy Plumbing to anyone in the Long Beach or surrounding area in need of plumbing services.

We were hired by Prodigy earlier last year to perform a sewer lateral repair in the street. They did not have have the proper license to perform such work this is the reason they reached out to us. We perform these for several different plumbing companies in southern California. During the process Joesph and Donny were our contacts. Job entailed pulling a permit from the city of Artesia and performing the work to city standards which we did. After completion invoice was submitted and no response on several occasions. My company even offered a small discount to pay the bill but no response to this day. Any contractor or customer I would beware of this company in the future.

Russell and Steve arrived quickly and provided immediate issue resolution. They were polite and understanding of our frustration, and did a full inspection with photos to illustrate the issues. They also gave a thorough explanation of potential future problems and total costs associated with prompt remediation. For a smaller company, Prodigy provides huge value, so we're likely to seek their services again.

Prodigy Plumbing was great, they were so kind and professional especially given the unplanned plumbing issues we had. They also understood the old plumbing that was original to the house, which was a relief having dealt with plumbers in the past who were unfamiliar with working on older homes.

Erik and Dave were respectful, helpful and professional when replacing our hot water heater, installing a pressure regulator and fixing a leaky faucet and running toilet. I appreciated the communication from Prodigy and that I was easily able to get on the schedule! Thank you!

We hired Prodigy back in April to install two AC units with linear registers, and to this day, the project remains incomplete. Despite multiple attempts to get in touch—including calls, texts, and emails to their managers, Joseph and Chris—we have received no response.

The lack of communication and accountability is extremely frustrating and reflects poorly on their business. At this point, I would be very hesitant to work with Prodigy again or recommend them to anyone.

They are not BBB accredited company!!!

I chose this company because of the many positive reviews, but unfortunately I should have paid more attention to the negative ones.

I called them because my shower pressure was extremely low—the showerhead was barely dripping. I was told the shower valve needed to be replaced and that the job would take 1–2 days because they would need to access it from outside and open the side panel of my house.

Once they opened the wall, they told me the wood was too old to close it back up. They deducted $300 for that, which I appreciated, but this left me with an open side panel that I now need to hire a contractor to repair.

After replacing the valve, they tested the shower—and nothing changed. The water pressure was exactly the same. Then a younger plumber simply replaced the showerhead, and suddenly everything worked perfectly. This made it very clear that the valve replacement and opening the house were completely unnecessary and that the issue could have been solved by replacing the showerhead from the start.

The entire job took about 4 hours, not the 1–2 days I was quoted. I was charged $3,600, and now I also have additional costs to fix the exterior of my house.

I asked for a discount because I strongly believe I was charged for work that did not need to be done. The manager, Rick, was rude, impatient, and unwilling to work with me. He kept insisting the valve was the problem but could not explain why the issue remained after the valve replacement and was only fixed once the showerhead was replaced.

This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I do not feel the work was properly diagnosed, fairly priced, or professionally handled.

My water heater went out unannounced. Prodigy was my first call and they had me scheduled for a new install within 30 minutes. Their technicians were knowledgeable and friendly. They explained how the new system worked and how to properly maintain it. They left the job site clean. I would definitely hire them again

Prodigy lost a star this time.

Needed more plumbing work done on my home due to the discovery of some cheap jerry rigged piping done by the previous owners. Having used Prodigy before and being impressed with their work, I didn't hesitate to hit them up first.

That said, we needed to replace some old galvanized pipes to copper. The original inspection and estimate were done cordially and professionally.

The work done was great and solid. Again, they were respectful of the house, to me, my wife, and my kid. Putting down tarps and wearing booties to protect my flooring and such.

The only reason they lose a start this time around was due to horrendous communication. After the estimate was signed, I was cancelled on twice and had a no show on one day. And one cancellation and the no show happened when there was unfinished work from the previous day.

It was only after my constant calling and prodding -- being told I would receive a callback only for it to never come -- that at the end of the day, a field manager finally got back to me and personally gave me an ETA of when the work would be completed.

Again, the work was great. Where Prodigy dropped the ball (hard) was when it came to communicating with me.

Definitely get a second opinion after these guys give you a quote. We have only lived in our house about five years and we were having issues with our AC unit not turning on. They sent a technician out and the guy basically told me that we had to replace our entire HVAC unit which was going to cost $5000. They told me that the HVAC unit that we had was a cheap bottom of the barrel unit that didn’t have a great lifespan. I went on Google only to find that this unit is absolute top of the line one of the best ones money could buy and even has a 10 year warranty. There is absolutely no way that we would have to have to replace this whole entire unit. I called another company and they sent the guy out and he told me he could fix the problem in 30 minutes. He went in and added more refrigerant to our HVAC line and it has worked perfectly now well over a year later and he charged me 275$

We had done a lot of business with this company before, and it is a shame that they turned around and turned out to be low integrity and try to turn a low cost, low labor job into a $5000 replacement. Either this technician did NOT know his HVAC units well or he was straight up lying to my face calling our top of the line unit a cheapo model.

In fact, the very first thing that the other technician noticed about our HVAC was that it was a well-known and known to be high quality, top-of-the-line unit. When I told him about the quote from prodigy saying that it needed to be replaced, he was an utter disbelief that any technician would see this unit and tell us that.

This old trick may have worked before Reddit and Google existed, but it doesn’t fly now. Moral of the story go ahead and get a quote from these guys but get a second opinion, especially if they try to hit you with a large job.

Posting this review now because times are hard for a lot of people and I hope that this saves someone from paying too much for an unnecessary repair or replacement.

We have had a lot of work done by Beach Plumbing over the last few years, some quite major. Their work has been professional, timely and thorough. We definitely would recommend them for plumbing work, particularly with drains and sewer issues.

I had the best experience dealing with Beach plumbing 3–8-04. The plumber actually tried to save me money by trying to repair the garage disposal that was inoperable-who does that these days? The plumber (Tony) was exceptional in regards to customer service and because of this I will be using Beach plumbing from hence fourth.

After years of dealing with a root problem in our sewer line and having it regularly “maintenance” Edwin and beach plumbing came, not only unclogged the line but gave us permanent solution using a pipe bursting.
Guaranteeing we will never spend another dime on drain problems again. Would definitely recommend Beach Plumbing for your services!

We had a drain back up and Beach Plumbing came out same day. They show great professionalism and respect to their clients and their pricing is reasonable. We will continue to use them for all of our plumbing needs.

Huge thanks to Edwin Reveles for coming out after we called about an issue we were having with our water heater. My husband replaced a part as a stop gap until Beach Plumbing could come out. Edwin checked it and assured us that it was the right move, and he made some minor adjustments for us, but did not charge us for the brief visit. He also went above and beyond checking the water pressure and advising us about other preventative measures we could take to keep our water heater in good working order. As first-time home owners, this was much appreciated!!

My main line was backed up and after getting a few plumbing companies to come take a look at it Beach Plumbing gave me the best quote and fastest availability. Edwin came out to service the drain. He was very thorough with his work and diagnosis of the situation. We also added a tankless water heater and fixed some work that was done by the previous home owner. All beach plumbing employees that we dealt with were very nice and knowledgeable. Will definitely be calling them back for any plumbing work needed! Thank you beach plumbing team!

I found Beach Plumbing to be very professional, responsive and efficient. Scheduling was right on, and Edwin Reveles was efficient and communicated well in how my Bradford White Water Heater worked. A+
