Great experience with Brian. He was super helpful and informative about the entire process and fully transparent. We had issues with our plumbing in our upstairs bathroom.

Great experience all around. The office staff worked closely with me since the work was at a rental property and I’m not local. The technician explained the issue in advance, gave me a reasonable price up front and resolved the issue. Will definitely use again when needed!

I put in a service request BEFORE 8am for a back up in my bathroom through Yelp. I received a message response almost instantly from another company, but before I even had time to dial their number, I received a call from Mr. Rooter, Long Beach dispatch so I went with them. They scheduled me for that same morning between 8:30-9:30. Jose O. arrived by 9am.

Jose started to work on the problem, but the problem wasn’t simple to fix. He let me know he had to take the next step to try to find the stoppage in the pipes. Unfortunately, in that attempt, he still couldn’t reach the stoppage with the machines he had. He let me know once again he would have to take yet a bigger step and access the piping underneath the concrete inside my garage. Obviously more involved and more costly. Concrete would have to be Jack hammered, pipes cut into, cleaned and add two access ports so that the pipes could be accessed easier in the future if the problem returned (likely to happen because the pipes are almost 50 years old). I really had no choice to proceed because the stoppage had not been cleared. Jose had an empathetic approach and I felt he did what he could to be helpful. The job would have to be completed the following day because the job required more workers.

I was called the next day early at 8am to let me know the workers would be at my home between 8:30-9:30. Again, they showed up by about 9am. Items had to be moved around in the garage and they helped to move things, which I felt was very helpful and nice that they didn’t tell me I had to do it all. They worked on this until about 4pm, but had to return one more time the next day to cement the hole that they needed to make. Again the communication from dispatch and the workers was clear and great!

Although we would have wanted to go with a small company, Mr. Rooter, Jose O., cementer Keith and those employees who were here to make the hole in the concrete and make the access ports in the pipes, were ALL so great!!! Great communication, great customer service, which I feel is more rare than not, personable and although the job was costly (not their fault), I felt 100% confident they weren’t just trying to charge me for what I didn’t need.

I would 1000% recommend Mr. Rooter Plumbing!!!

He was so great. Fixed my issue and told me that at some point I would need new pipes but that wasn’t urgent. I appreciated his being honest. When I have the money to do the pipes I will definitely call them.

Called Mr Rooter for a client that needed a dishwasher repair. Jose Ochoa showed up on time and was a total professional. I thought the service call price of $85 was totally fair. Jose was informative and really saved my day. He walked me through the issue so I knew what my options would be. I know another plumber could have charged more for services that weren't needed. I would recommend Not only Mr Rooter but asking for Jose.

Jose Ochoa was our technician and he was incredible! Knowledgeable, patient, understanding, and efficient. He came to our home and was professional yet kind. Jose explained everything he was doing throughout the process so there wasn’t any surprises and was honest about everything. He really ended up being our hero here at home! Thank you so much Jose !

It was wonderful to get a live person on the phone when I called, and they set up to come on Christmas Eve (during the day) to unclog our kitchen drain...which was amazing, since we had family coming to dinner that night. Brian & Xavier were on time, cleaned out the drain & even when underneath the house (it was raining!!) to double check the pipes. They did a camera through the entire drain to the main cleanout, just to make sure there wasn't any blockages beyond the kitchen. I will be contacting them again when I have any plumbing issue!

Christian was able to take care of a backed up tub and bathroom sink. Very friendly and personable technician who patiently answered my questions and took care of my issues. He even crawled under the house and checked to make sure the pipes were in good order. Would definitely recommend.

Brian came out today on time and ready to assist me. He quickly diagnosed the problem and explained to me what needed to be done and even explained to me how my water heater wasn't up to code anymore and explain how they would be able to fix it. The price is affordable and way cheaper than what other companies were trying to quote me. Brian even went above and beyond helping by helping get ahold of our water heater warranty to check if it was still covered and ordered the parts I needed through the warranty!

I had an excellent experience with Mr. Rooter Plumbing. Brian, the technician, arrived within an hour of my call and was both friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly identified the issue and explained everything clearly, which gave me peace of mind. I’ve used Mr. Rooter in the past and they’ve always provided reliable service, and this visit was no exception. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services.lol

I would give Mr. Rooter a 5-star rating because the team was professional, efficient and honest. Initially, the representative offered $1800 to change a gas line but when I presented a quote from another company for the same job at $1650, the company was willing to beat the price. So I would encourage having other quotes ready since the company is willing to negotiate. I liked how timely the company was. They called in the morning as expected to give me a time frame of when I should be expecting a team member to arrive, and the person arrived in a timely manner. After completing the original task of replacing one gas line, the company found another leak and gave me options while discussing the risks and benefits of each. Even though the second leak was unexpected, the company was able to find a team member on-call to help fix the second leak on the same day. At the end of the job, the company gave me further recommendations for the future that didn’t need to be addressed urgently but that I could consider. Overall, I thought Mr. Rooter did a fair and honest job so I would recommend them.

I recently inherited the house and found out a lot of things have been neglected over the years. Found out the gas line was leaking under the ground. All of the underground piping had to be replaced. Andy came to are rescue. After moving in, the water and gas couldn't be turned back until gas line was fixed. Month with no water or gas, it was urgent. Andy was able to get the ball rolling the next day. The office and Andy kept me up to date on how long and what time work will begin. Very impressed with Andy's speedy actions and Tony also.

I had an excellent experience with Mr. Rooter Plumbing thanks to technician Christian Carroll. From the moment he arrived, Christian was professional, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the issue clearly, walked me through the options, and made sure I understood the work that needed to be done.
What stood out most was his attention to detail and genuine care for doing the job right. He worked efficiently, kept the area clean, and ensured everything was functioning perfectly before he left. It’s rare to find a technician who combines skill, transparency, and great customer service so seamlessly.

I called to schedule an appointment to have my hot water tank replaced with a tankless. The appointment was scheduled between 2-6pm. I left work early to make sure I was available for the appointment. I received a call at 11 am saying the technician was outside of my house. I said I was not available as I was still at work and they said they would come back at the scheduled time between 2 and 6 pm. I received a call at 4:30 pm saying that they had to cancel an appointment.

It’s extremely frustrating considering I took time off work to make sure I was available and scheduled accordingly. Monkey plumbing did a fantastic job making sure I was ready for the appointment including videos on how to be ready and several texts confirming I would be available for the appointment. I wish they would value my time as much as they value theirs.

Luis was incredibly helpful. He didn’t try to oversell me on anything, he just laid out what was working well and what might need attention soon and how to best address it. He also did extra work at no additional charge. Monkey Wrench is definitely my go-to for all plumbing needs.

The overall service from beginning to end that I received from Monkey Wrench exceeded my expectations. Jonathan was the technician who helped me and he was incredible to work with who communicated to me the process every step of the way. Andres and Monkey Wrench Plumbing were great! They were very responsive from my initial phone call to the scheduling and to the morning of my appointment. Andres arrived on time and was very professional and personable. He inspected my clogged kitchen drain and inspected it. He gave me what he had found out and a few different options. Once I selected the option, Andres went straight to work. He was thorough and he let me know what he was going to be doing. He unclogged the sink and showed me the before/ during pics of the work. Overall, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Monkey Wrench Plumbing!

I have booked one appointment with Monkey Wrench to send a plumber to fix my reverse osmosis water filtration system. I was informed if I purchase a yearly maintenance program for $175, they will waive $89 inspection fee. So I did.

Unfortunately the plumber they sent did not fix my water filter tank issue, instead he quoted me almost $3000 to replace my water filtration system and another $2000 to redo the pipes for my one-year-old water heater. On top of that, he also charged me $89 even though I have already paid for the maintenance program.

Later I learned from another plumbing company the issue with my reverse osmosis system is that the pressure of my water tank is too old which leads to low pressure and slow water flow. Therefore all I have to do is replace my water tank, filters and membrane, there’s no need to replace the entire system! Monkey Wrench plumber apparently wanted to trick me into paying for a brand new reverse osmosis system just like what I have, that was terrible.

Even worse, the technician claimed that having a reverse osmosis system isn’t enough to clean the water, what I need is a brand new water softener which was quoted at $9000. When I asked the technician to replace my water filter with the new parts I had purchased, he quoted me $1000 to do it. That was ridiculously expensive. I got few other quotes later from their competitors and the labor cost to replace the parts runs between $80 to $150 which is much more reasonable.

Since I am on their maintenance program. I made an appointment for water heater maintenance, they gave me a window between 10 am and 2 pm today.

Since I didn’t get any notification nor confirmation of my appointment on the day before my appointment, I had to call twice to make sure a technician will come out to do the job.

At 1:30 pm, 30 minutes before the window of my appointment closes at 2 pm, they left a voicemail saying their technician will arrive in 45 minutes and they asked whether I still want to keep my appointment by saying “please call this number if you want to cancel your appointment.”

What kind of service is that? Not only there’s no apology for the delay, they also had to ask me if I wanted their service after I called to confirm my appointment twice!

I do not recommend Monkey Wrench to anyone who wants to hire someone who is honest and professional, most of all, has the skills to fix the issues requested by the customers.
