I met with Dustin, Herk’s son. You can tell he is a man of principle, and that is something I respect heavily. He came early, gave me a quotation, and told me that he recommended I get my landscape guy to do it as it was cheaper. I was impressed at how much time and care he put into our meeting. He located the water cutoff, out of courtesy. If I would have any other problem, I would give him a call first. The perfect balance of professionalism, and neighborliness.

Their staff is very professional and got the job done quickly. The person answering the phone was very helpful. And on-site plumbers Shawn and Edward showed up quickly, fixed the clog and explained to me the situation to prevent further issues. I would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

We had a toilet leaking and the main line backed up in our office at work. Herk's plumbing was here within a couple hours and fixed everything! Excellent customer service and such a fast response!

We had a toilet (40+ years old) that needed replacing, another one (25+ years old) that needed repairs, and then the morning of the appointment our water heater (8 years old) stopped working! Talk about frustrating and inconvenient! We called the morning of the appointment to let them know about the water heater. They came prepared for a replacement (which we did need). Additional issues popped up when trying to replace the toilet and they had to make an additional run for more parts. When the second toilet decided not to work well with the new repairs, they went out, picked up a new toilet, and installed it for us instead of requiring us to pick one up and make an additional appointment for it. When we panicked a bit about the estimated cost, they talked us through it in a kind, empathetic, patient and non-pushy way. The final cost was fair and below the estimate. All work was done efficiently and in a timely manner. The guys went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that repairs were done well, done right, and everything was running properly before they left.

I had started that morning in tears of frustration. I ended the day in tears of thankfulness! I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing services and they are number one on my list if/when we need any additional work at our house. Thank you SO MUCH Herk's Plumbing!

I was cleaning my bathroom and noticed the toilet was leaking at the seal. I called Herk's and they answered right away and were able to get me a quote over the phone, which was the lowest of the three that I called. Also I remembered their fun vans that I had seen in the Modesto Christmas Parade and mentioned that on the phone, It was almost noon when I called and they said they could have someone out between 2 and 4, which was awesome. Herk Jr called me at about 12:30 and said he could be there in 10 minutes. He and another young man came in and got it done in just a few minutes. They were very kind and professional, and when I went yo pay it was WAY less than what they had quoted. They will definitely go on my list of trusted companies to use in the future if needed. Highly recommend!

I tried a new plumbing service this time and I'm glad I did. It's rare to find someone as compassionate to his customers as Mr. Herk Jr. is. I had a badly clogged kitchen sink and it was taken care of effortlessly and in a timely manner. I wish nothing but the best for Mr. Herk Jr. and his family's business.

We had a full repipe and tankless heater installed and they had a whole team come in and complete it in only a few days! Once the inspector came to look at their work, it was easily approved and he said Herk's is not known for having any quality issues. They hold a good reputation because of this.

Brian and his team did a fantastic job. They don't repair drywall (most plumbers don't as it's not their expertise) so if they have to cut into your drywall, you need to have that repaired by someone else.

terrible service, flooded my bathroom. they cleaned it up, but I could hear Herk talking negatively about my son's attitude. my son is a sweet boy. he may have flushed something he wasn't supposed to down the toilet, which im sure Herk did as a kid, but he kept referring to my son as "boy" and it felt really racial.

Amazing job and amazing staff good pricing they were in time and the nicest people! We had to have our toilet replaced and some pipes under the house replaced we were quoted half a day and they were done with in maybe 2 hours. They were great with all the dogs they were funny and you could tell that they enjoyed doing their job. I would refer them to anyone and will definitely use them again if we ever have any issues.

The guy who came out was able to arrive within 30 mins of my call, he was nice, and that's where the good ends.

$250 for 40 mins of work is criminal. This is an industry that holds you hostage to your own repair needs. You get to choose between astronomical rates and sewage pouring into your house.

He left me to repair and fix the pipe he dug up and knocked a hole into fire the rooting. Told me to unfold a soda can, use that to cover the hole, and then just pile dirt on top of it. For $250 you'd think the repair guy could do that little bit of repair.

I would highly suggest replacing your dispatcher (who seemed very annoyed to have to field my call early on a Sunday morning.... get a different job?) position with a customer service representative position, who actually has knowledge of the company and can answer questions before being charged for a site visit.

I challenge you to be better, but you won't because $$$$

Update: it's the next morning and the tub isn't draining. Thanks for nothing!

I have family over for the holidays and all the drains backed up. I called Candace at Herks Plumbing and she found time to send Dustin and Gabriel out. They took care of the problem in about 20 minutes. Fantastic service. Great people call them if you need plumbing work done.

I received ann estimate and accepted it. They were efficient, friendly, fast, and fixed the problem. We had a section of bad pipe causing a backup. The actual charge was less than the estimate. I recommend this company and would call them first for future issues!

These guys went above and beyond. Not only was their response time fast, their rate and customer care is 2nd to none. If we ever have an issue again, Herk is who we're calling for help. Technician who came out to the house to fix a gas leak was very courteous and very thorough in explaining the situation which he fixed. Highly recommend Herk’s Plumbing. They have done other work for us in the past and have always been very professional. Also the office staff 👍😀

From my first phone contact with them, to the service call, everyone was friendly, courteous, respectful, and helpful. Dustin was right on time, with a courtesy call that he was on his way. Quick inspection, had the part to be replaced in his truck, so no need for additional visits. I was prepared with an additional part to be replaced. He was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Gave me the price up front, which was reasonable, I did not feel gauged. Will for sure save their information in case I need more plumbing work done!

Hero’s plumbing has always gone above and beyond for us. Living in an old home (100 years) we have had some unique plumbing needs and they have come through when no one else could. Always prompt professional service and excellent customer service!

We've used them many times. I appreciate the honesty and extremely prompt service I've always received. Definitely would recommend them if you're experiencing water heater issues.

Herk's was able to schedule us same day. Then called ahead when a slot opened and was at my house with in minutes. Dustin was very professional and was able to snake and unclog our kitchen sink of grease in minutes. VERY affordable. Love supporting family businesses and will definitely be calling them for any of our plumbing needs.

Mitchell was here this Saturday morning - called before they arrived to let me know he was on his way. Finished everything super fast. Cleaned up everything, and left in less than an hour. Brand new toilet ready for business!!

Herks plumbing did a great job. They were polite, professional, and very reasonably priced. They showed up within the two hour window promised, and called 15 minutes before arriving. They fixed a leak in our bathroom sink, and installed a new kitchen faucet. I will definitely use Herks plumbing for any future needs and highly recommend them.
