This guy Todd B. Freeman Electric, CSLB NO. 582187 who also goes by Affordable Electric, Heating and Air Conditioning is a real piece of work. I contracted with him last week to fix heaters in an apartment building in Redland. He agreed to go out for a fee of $200.00 and make recommendations on repairing the heaters and then would apply the $200.00 to any needed repairs. I agreed. He asked me to send him a list of all the tenant's names and phone numbers and I did right away.

The next day, I called him, he said that he doesn't know if he received my eMail as he's been too busy to check. I said that's fine and he agreed to check his eMail and respond in within about the next 30 minutes to an hour. I told him that was fine, and we hung up.

The next day, I realized that he never responded to my eMail, so I called him. He never answered. I tried calling several times over the next few days and finally reached him by phone today. When he answered he said, "oh you"? He then began to tell me that I should get a hint. He informed me that even although he contracted with me, I should have gotten a hint that he didn't want the job even although he agreed to do the job and my tenants are waiting for him. I would not trust anything this guy tells you. He is not truthful and not reliable. Even although his ad on craigslist says, "We Show Up", that's NOT true. He doesn't show up at all and to make it worse, he strings you out and then tells you later that he's not showing up. Because he contracted with me and failed to show up, I will also be filing a complaint with the CSLB. Again, please BEWARE!! This guy and company are NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!

My AC broke down and we were melting like butter in the summer heat. I called Richard and he immediately came to our rescue. He worked above and beyond my expectations. He not only solved the problem at hand with my AC but also anticipated possible problems that need to be fixed. I can’t praise Richard and Affordable Air Conditioning and Heating enough! I am a Senior citizen who was suffering from a terrible sinus infection during a heat wave ranging from 102-109 degree temps. My A/C broke and I was told that a new condenser was broken. The A/C company here estimated 7-14 days delivery and the estimated cost was very high. So I was fearing 90 deg temps in my home for the entire time! I decided to try a portable room a/c. Otherwise, I could not stay at home. The unit wasn’t available for at least a week. I ordered one, and at the store it was suggested that I contact Affordable because they had helped many people like me. I contacted Richard and he indicated that he was at a repair at the moment and would be at my home asap. He arrived, carefully inspected the unit and agreed that the condenser was broken. At that point, he started making phone calls to try to locate the necessary part. He stood outside in the 106 degree weather and called every manufacturer and parts provider he could find to do so. After a couple of hours he narrowed it down to one, which would be available in 3 days! This was a Thursday. On Friday Richard returned to remove the old parts to be ready for the repair Monday and get it done asap. My home was 89 degrees everywhere! I explained that I couldn’t stay in the home and would find somewhere to stay. Richard Rodriguez, Affordable Air Conditioning and Heating said he was going to be right back and returned later with a portable a/c unit that allowed me to remain in my home during the three days. He did this on his own, from his personal stock; delivered, and set it up for me. It was a lifesaver! On Monday he returned and completed the installation. He found a couple more problems, which he repaired. This kind of customer service is rarely found these days. He went well above and beyond to help me AND at a much more reasonable price. His service was patient, supportive, kind and he explained everything. I will be forever grateful and continue to utilize his expertise! I would highly recommend Affordable Air Conditioning and Heating without reservation!
