This is my second housecall with Epic Electric. The first job was exceptional! The second job was somewhat so-so. I wished they could have done a better job installing my 2 EV Chargers. Don’t get me wrong, the chargers are functioning properly (so I thought) and no complains there. The install itself was not aesthetically pleasing. Corners were sloppy since they used Flex Metal tubing and those are notorious of not having clean turns when not properly installed. Even had criss-crossed lines which was mentioned/shown to them. I wished they installed EMT conduit since that’s all they have posted in their websites photo gallery, but was told due to multiple corners had to used the flex. I even offered to buy the materials myself for the to re-do. They offered to come back to replaced with EMT but with another cost to do the job because everything works the way their supposed to, which I refused. I think they may have rushed the job since they said they don’t work on Saturdays and they were just accommodating me because of their missed Friday appointment. I’m all about quality and functionality and they both should go hand-in-hand. Also upon further inspection of their work 2 weeks later, found out that they used 8AWG on one of my charger (~30FT from panel) instead of the required 6AWG THHN wire. I have the required 60A breaker. Now we’re talking about “safety”. That’s probably why I’m getting so much heat on the flex conduit on that particular charger when charging. I still think Epic is a good electric company nevertheless.

Epic Electric is truly Epic. Communicated well when I finished all the online info about my install location, breaker panel info...etc. They called and had me scheduled within 1 week. They came a great distance for my install, I had doubts about the scheduled time, John was right on time, knew exactly what needed to be done to my panel for the install. He completed his job in great time, showed me how to set up the app & wifi connection so I was able to quickly get started charging my EV. I wouldn't hesitate to reccomend Epic Electric for your electrical work. Great work!!!

Made progress on project at hand but, developed into more work to be done. Paul was very competent in getting to the bottom of my problems and discovered additional parts are required. He is going to source parts and reschedule and I am going to get more light bulbs.
Lights are all working (new led 2 ft and 4 ft replacing old t12 type fluorescent bulbs. All issues resolved. Thanks for a very thorough job done.

Within days of buying my new Honda Prologue SUV (at Honda Pacific in San Diego), a 100% EV 2024 first generation Honda, I was contacted by Vanessa at Epic electric. Vanessa is a very efficient person, who coordinated the installation of my Honda Type 2 home electric charger. There was a hiccup with the vendor who was supposed to supply the Honda Type 2 charger, but Vanessa stayed with it and contacted the other vendor and helped expedite the delivery of the equipment. The Epic electrician showed up this Friday morning on time and was able to install the Type 2 charger in around an hour, and my Honda EV is out charging in the driveway now. Thanks Vanessa, Epic and the very efficient electrician (sorry, forgot his name but good guy and good at his job).
