Gary came over quickly on a Saturday morning and diagnosed the issue (heating coil). Not only did he have the parts, but fabricated a replacement in the same visit.

Very impressive that repair technicians actually repair stuff anymore, usually they just swap parts. Perhaps it was due to having an older model which were built better.

Anyhow, I was impressed and he guaranteed his work.

Our freezer was at 35 degrees when we woke up Monday morning. I called and reached Gary. He came out within a couple of hours. Even better he actually had the part and we had a working refrigerator. Solid service and care. Very reasonable prices. I would not hesitate to call again.

I called General Refrigeration Service this morning about a leaky freezer and spoke to Gary. He came out within and hour and resolved an issue quickly and affordably. The issue I thought I had was going to be more expensive to fix. But , Gary diagnosed a very different problem and the cost went down from what I expected to pay. I appreciate his honesty and education on how to take better care of my fridge. Highly recommend him and his services.

There's a reason why Gary has so many five star ratings. He is honest, kind, reliable, and good at his job. When our refrigerator at our temporary rental went out, while my landlord dithered about trying to get it fixed, I called Gary, communicated the urgency (I'm pregnant and also have a toddler), and he moved his schedule to come right away. His base price is phenomenally reasonable, and he even came back the next day when things were still not working right - turns out there is a malfunctioning part that has been discontinued wah wah. Either way, he came back again to make sure the job was done to the extent possible, and was kind and communicative the whole way. Honestly it just boils down to Gary being a good person. And those are the kind of people you want coming into your house to help you.

Gary Cain was outstanding. I called him at 0730 on 2/3/25 and he rearranged his schedule early on a Monday morning knowing that foods in my freezer were starting to thaw. My freezer and refrigerator were repaired by 11 am. Gary had all the parts he needed with him to repair my refrigerator. The price was very reasonable. I can not say enough how great it is to get such quick service and a grrat personal refrigerator and freezer repair man. Gary has serviced two prior refrigerators, a first-gen SubZero (horrible!) and a first-gen GE Monogram (a little better). But because these over-priced behemoths were headaches, we switched to a KitchenAid from Galvans (RIP) about a decade ago. Long-story short: returned from a week away for Thanksgiving to find our freezer frozen over like a winter in Fairbanks, before global warming. My wife's reaction was to buy a new one, it's time. But I remembered Gary. In one short cell phone call as he was enroute to help another customer, and a few follow-up text exchanges, he diagnosed the problem and quickly walked me through the fix. I'm no Mr. Fixit, but Gary's advice and guidance was spot on. I even texted him a photo of my work mid-stream and he graciously gave me helpful pointers to make my task easier and trouble-free. So, I would not call anyone else for refrigerator repair. I hardly ever write reviews, as you can tell. So believe me when I say Gary is special.

Our dryer broke today. We had a bunch of wet bedsheets and needed to get a repair fast. He was the first person we called and he was able to come out same day.

Paul identified the problem and had the tools on him to fix it right away. By dinner time, our dryer was fixed and we’re now finishing our laundry like nothing ever happened.

Very reasonable pricing. We’ll be calling him back if something else breaks for sure.

Just a week ago, I called this company to fix the cooktop that was not igniting. The technician that I had from them was so polite and friendly. Also, a very convenient to work with. So far, I'm absolutely pleased and impressed with the service. The technician of this company showed enthusiasm, dedication and honesty when fixing my dryer that was not heating. I can also see that he was professional enough to do the job, and that the cost of their repair was also very fair. I'm sure I'll recommend them to everyone I know!
