Sal at Thumbs Up Rooter is the best plumber I've worked with in the East Bay and will be our plumber from now on.
Sal got us a (fair) quote quickly, was accommodating of our schedule when planing the work, finished the job quickly, cleared up thoroughly and didn't increase the charge when he found more that needed repair than original planned for. I can't recommend Sal highly enough.

Eddie was on time to repair my bathroom toilet that had a leak.
As he was working he explained clearly to me what the cause of the problem was while he also explained what exactly he was doing to fix the problem. He installed new parts inside the toilet tank, installed a state of the art shut-off valve, making sure there were no leaks! Eddie also showed me how to flush for a short #1 flush and a longer #2 flush!

The cost was quite reasonable considering all the work that was done. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who needs a super professional plumbing job done by a super professional plumber!

He was very communicative about the repair plan and potential issues that could arise and, once finished, walked me through the job so I understood the original issue and what to do to prevent it from happening in the future. Sal is great. I needed a new outdoor spigot and a PRV. Very responsive when I reached out to him. We nailed things down over text (which I appreciate). Friendly, professional, not pushy or sales-y, just wants to do a good job and reasonably priced. All that together beat out the others I reached out to.
On the job it was the same. There was a bit of a snag where replacing the spigot wasn't quite as straightforward as it should have been but only due to my old house. Sal kept it cool, spent the time to figure out the right solution and got it all done.

I'll definitely be calling on him again.

I used Marvin to install a water shut off valve for my dishwasher. I also had him look at my dishwasher because it would leak when draining. I hired Marvin for a large job replacing old galvanized steel water lines to copper lines in a 4plex. He did an excellent job, showed up on time and kept the jobsite clean. I would recommend him to anyone, he is my go to plumber for my properties in the East Bay.
