I am extremely happy with the service I received from Thomas & Sons Home Plumbing. Barry came out to my place in Oakland to help with my main drain, which needed to be snaked. He was honest, professional, and handled everything with care. Compared to other plumbing companies, their prices were much better. Barry even gave me a special discount, so the service was very affordable. He also checked my pipes with a camera to make sure everything was clear. A while back, we got free low-flow toilets in our senior community, but I’ve found that they don’t work as well as my old ones — toilet paper gets stuck, and there’s just not enough water pressure. Because of this, I might look into getting new toilets installed. Barry’s excellent work really stood out, and I’ve shared his business cards on our community bulletin board so other seniors, friends, and family can call when they need a plumber. I even gave him a tip to show my appreciation. I’m hoping we can add this company to our HOA directory because they truly deserve it. Five stars!

Thomas & Sons Home Plumbing provided outstanding service when I needed help with multiple plumbing projects at my new home in Oakland. After reading great reviews, I decided to give them a call, and I’m glad I did! Nathaniel and Barry showed up right on time, actually a minute early, which I really appreciated. They were friendly, explained every step of the work, and made sure I understood what was happening. They took care of replacing my kitchen sink, installed new shutoff valves, hooked up my dishwasher, and swapped out the garbage disposal. Nathaniel also fixed the shutoff valves on both toilets and tightened the main water line that had a slow leak. Everything was completed quickly and done perfectly. The pricing was very fair, especially for the quality of work. Later, I needed help with my hot water tank. Nathaniel offered to try fixing it first before replacing it, which showed how honest and helpful they are. Unfortunately, the tank ended up leaking badly, so I called the office for help. Within half an hour, Barry and Nathaniel were back with a new tank and got it installed right away. I highly recommend them for any plumbing needs in Oakland. Their work is reliable, prices are affordable, and they don’t try to upsell unnecessary repairs. I really appreciate their honesty and professionalism.

I called on Saturday afternoon. They came the next day. Eddie was prompt, professional, and fixed my plumbing problem.
I will definitely use their services again.

Andre S. came to our house day of and fixed our kitchen sink faucet very simply! He gave us two options to replace our current one (we already bought a faucet) or fix the existing since it still had life.

Very reliable, honest and responsive. These guys are the ones to call. I use them for rental properties and they make it all really easy and my tenants are always happy with how quick they get out there and how professional they are.

After our plumbing service of more than 25 years was unable to discover the source of the leak and sent us to a leak discovery service which said they would come in a month, we called Oakland Rooter who sent us Jose who was friendly and helpful and discovered where the leak was quite easily. As opposed to the other which charged for coming out and not solving the problem, he was reluctant to charge us at all. Of course we insisted on paying. He has recently reinstalled our dishwasher which had been removed to fix the leak. Oakland Rooter is our new plumber and that other Rooter is not.

I had an appointment at 9:00 a.m. on a Saturday. The first guy arrived at 9:50 and though they were running a drain clog special he didn't have the necessary tool he thought he needed. He handed me off to a second guy that didn't arrive until 11:00 a.m. once he arrived he was able to solve the issue without any special tools in about an hour. I'm happy with the end result it just cost me extra with my time.

Andre showed up and was super helpful, examined a problem that's been plaguing us for months and foiled multiple other plumbers with a critical eye and generated and validated a solution, then explained the solution to me super clearly and answered my questions. Frankly, I had such a positive experience that I'm a little bit in shock?

I had a pipe on the exterior of my house that had corroded and broke in 2 pieces plus a clog in my line - I guess the corroded pipe wasn't enough for the universe 😜.

The plumber who came to my home was very knowledgeable and professional, and he was able to diagnose and fix my plumbing issue in no time.

Highly recommend Jose Ramos. Great job on a fiberoptic camera inspection of our french drain system to ensure no breakages or tree roots before the rainy season. Also fixed a leak under our kitchen sink caused by a pipe cut too short by the faucet installer.

Could not have been happier with the service I received. My plumber was on time, friendly, and did a great job explaining what was wrong. He even offered to do additional work (which I took him up on) to do preventative maintenance. Would gladly work with again!

I can't say enough about this business and the hard working, timely and genuine A-grade people who work for Oakland Rooter. The team that has been working here the past two days came exactly when they said they would, worked hard and long for two full days and did a wonderful job for an extremely reasonable price. I am so grateful that they returned my call when I was frantically phoning plumbers about a break in my water line. Unlike some of the vultures who responded to me at first, they explained the issues clearly and quoted me a fair price. I will call them again for any plumbing problems I have. Highly recommended!

Jose and his team are a dream - great price, did our sewer lateral in half the time the competitors said it would take, managed all the paperwork, scheduling, and excution, and even handled a challenging neighbor's plants with care and professionalism while they did their work. I would absolutely recommend them.

Jose came to survey my Sewer main as I thought I had intrusions causing occasional backups. He determined that a previous owner did not attach some of our drains to the main, causing the issue. His team just completed the repairs today and I could not be more impressed at the quality of work as well as the fact that Jose was spot on with diagnosing the issue.

I wish to give all my utmost compliments to ANDRES who showed up to help solve my plumbing problem in a lightning fast and super professional way.

Having been a landlord for years and owning different properties, I often have to deal with repair issues of any nature one can and cannot imagine.

Over the years, I have had countless unpleasant experiences with service providers, technicians, and repair companies of all shapes and sizes to a point I questioned myself repetitively why did I choose to own properties and also be a landlord !! My life is all about constantly dealing with issues very painfully.

But, meeting ANDRES gave me renewed hope : )

I have got to say, having ANDRES helped me was the best repair experience I have had in many many years. I truly wish that he does more than just plumbing work. I would use ANDRES for any and every kind of work that he is capable of doing. Because he is trustworthy, a person with integrity, has righteous principles and pride in what he does.

I know that I will NOT be getting a Mickey-Mouse-quality type repair and/or installation jobs out of ANDRES.

Bought a 1928 house, and initially we wanted to get a few plumbing fixtures upgraded like shower head and adding dishwasher/refrigerator supplies.
Then with the help of Jose Sanchez(there are 7 Jose at Oakland Rooter so ask for the best one 😄),we found rusted galvanized steel pipes.
He didn't try to upsell and offered that he patched such pipes considering our budget constraints.
But then there would be multiple patchworks over several years down the line, so we decided to go for repiping.
The work involved replacing all the pipes and opening up drywall.
Jose Sanchez and team really deserve a shout-out for their promptness and clean work.
They guarantee their work, are licensed and a delight to work with(very respectful).
Jose and the team advised me on the best approach to everything plumbing and then some.
Lastly on prices, Jose provided the best quote I got and broke down the job by priority, and even offered drywall patching services.
Jose helped with our bathroom makeover by installing marble slabs around the bathtub.
Did I already mention that these people are a delight to work with?! :)

We unfortunately noticed our front yard flooding a couple days ago and immediately panicked. Thankfully Jose was able to come out the next day and assess the situation. Jose provided me with their options for fixing the leak along with the detailed process of how they would go about it. His pricing was very competitive to other quotes we got also. As for the work, Jose and Hernesto were very professional, providing me with updates throughout the day and cleaning up the worksite after finishing the job. Will definitely rehire for any of our major plumbing needs and recommend to our friends and family!

I had a shower with poor pressure and little to no hot water. Oakland Rooter & Plumbing came out and replaced shower mixer cartridge and balancing unit and now the shower works better than ever. A week later I noticed a once a minute drip from the faucet and called them, and they came out and checked out all the connections and resolved for problem for no additional charge. Outstanding Customer Service! Highly recommended.

I had a water heater go out and Oakland Rooter came out the next morning to look at it. Very professional, honest, and excellent value in their service. I will definitely use them any time I have water heater or any plumbing issues. Jose was very friendly and personable. C
