I have used Oakland Rooter twice. Once for a garbage disposal replacement and recently a large drain pipe replacement. Both jobs were performed quick and professional. The Servicemen were knowledgeable and friendly and took the time to explain what was going on. The cost was appropriate for the work performed. I highly recommend them. A very well run business.

Had a backup and we were ready for it to be a total hassle and expensive but Jose came by same day, checked everything then repaired and sealed one of our toilets. He came early, was very informative and is very good at his job. It was a tiny bit pricey but for the service, we happily paid it. Oakland based so we were glad to give local guys the business.

Highly recommend!! Phoned office to get someone out to our office for a clogged toilet. They answered right away & had someone out that same day. Fixed issue and even explained the problem was due to a piece of metal 40 feet in pipe. Will definitely use again!

Excellent job putting in a new line for my water heater. Came and finished the job within estimated time and reasonable price.

My bathtub/shower faucet decided to break late Friday afternoon before a long weekend (of course). The water was gushing out of the faucet and could not be turned off!! I called a few places recommended by friends and none could come out until the following Tuesday - yikes so much wasted water! Then on Sunday I decided to search yelp and found these amazing plumbers. I called on Sunday afternoon, and Ygnacio, the owner, answered immediately. After explaining my problem and doing a quick analysis over FaceTime, he confirmed he could send someone out to turn the water off, and then within an hour Alberto came to the rescue! Working with some challenging peculiarities of my situation, he quickly assessed and got the water off. So within maybe 2 hours of finding Oakland Rooter on yelp, on a Sunday, my issue was dealt with - and at an affordable price. No weekend overtime!

Additionally, Alberto was very respectful of my health (high risk for COVID) and property - he wore a mask at my request and shoe covers which I was so grateful for.

Oakland Rooter came same day and knocked out a sewer lateral for our house. We just bought. They were very kind and hard-working cleaned up their mess. Definitely use their services again.

Everything about this experience was incredible. Why can't every business be like Oakland Rooter?! They showed up on time, I was late - they came back. Jose had an instinct for plumbing: knew exactly where a drain ought to drain, and indeed dug out the end cap from in the dirt. Found my problem. Told me how to fix it with a part from Home Depot, talked me through how to buy the right one, even showed me an example from his truck. Charged $0. Shook my hand, rode off into the sunset. Next plumbing need I have, I'm calling them. [Update: I called them. They came out, $99 drain special, was as great as expected. Double these five stars.]

Great experience with Oakland Rooter. Called in the AM about a leak in my water heater connection and got an appointment that same day with Daniel. Daniel even called and offered an earlier appointment which was great. He found that there were actually two issues and fixed both having to go to purchase parts as well. He was very knowledgeable, and explained exactly what he needed to do. Leak fixed!! Would recommend Oakland Rooter to anyone!

I am impressed by this company. I called them at 8 AM on a Monday to clear a clogged utility sink drain. Alberto and Daniel arrived around 8:45 AM, diagnosed the source of the issue, cleared the drain, fixed some pipe and elbow connectors, and were finished by 9:20 AM. Very knowledgeable, competent and efficient. This was the first time I used this company and I will definitely use them again.

Excellent experience! Jose M. was our plumber and discovered the source of our leak within 5 min. Very hard worker and extremely nice person. Replaced a leaking 4” cast iron pipe deep within the basement ceiling with new PVC fitting. Also installed a shutoff valve in the cold water supply. No more leaks! Highly recommend the company and Jose M.

This company is incredible! I initially had an issue with an employee and was ready to move on after leaving a negative review on yelp. However, I was pleasantly surprised when the company reached out to me and resolved everything in such a thoughtful and VERY impressive way. What an amazing experience!

Dan was very professional and informed me each step of the way about what he was doing and the project results. I was very comfortable and appreciative of the information and how he fixed our problem. Thank you for coming quickly and cleaning the drain so well.

Do yourself a favor and stop looking for plumbers, these guys are the real deal. Their quotes came in a couple thousand dollars cheaper than the competitor and they did hella good replacing my houses sewer lateral. Just give them a call and they’ll get the job done!

I called the number listed in Google Maps for Oakland Rooter, and set up an appointment. The plumber came within the time window and it was great that they texted me when the plumber was on their way. I was surprised how long it took for the plumber to arrive after the text; discovered the plumber was from another company.

I really wanted to hire someone local to me, but it turns out the plumbing company that was sent was from Hayward. Now I understand why the plumber arrive much later than expected when I was texted that the plumber was on their way.

We had our 2bd 1ba house re-piped and added a new water supply line and they did a fantastic job! Jose Sanchez, his father, and Gildo were fast, efficient and got everything done ahead of schedule, keeping their work neat (it was very satisfying seeing the clean and organized work that they did) and being incredibly courteous of keeping their work area contained. It's been over a month and we are so pleased with the work of Jose and his team. Please do yourself a favor and work with these guys!

Went with them based on online reviews and so glad we did. They handled our sewer lateral replacement, came in at $3000+ under a different estimate received and did an incredible job. Communication up front was a little sparse, but once they explained it all and finished the job we were thrilled with the results. Gladly will use them again for future plumbing needs.

Just moved to the Bayt Area and needed a plumber, A neighbor recommended Oakland Rooter. The toilet kept running and because it was a push button (unfamilar to us), we couln't fix it. Oakland Rooter got a plumber to us in less than an hour. Fixed it in 10 minutes. Great to see some are still interested in customer service. I highly reommend this company.

The best! I’ve had Oakland Rooter on speed dial for about three years and they always fix the problem. Costs are predictable and I never get sticker shock. They come super fast. Their people are professional and kind. They even stick around to explain what they did. A top business in Oakland for sure.

We had a bad plugged drain in the bathroom, and my husband, a great 'amateur' plumber who has always fixed our plumbing problems, tried to fix it for two days. We finally called Oakland Rooter, and they came out right away, in about three hours. They totally diagnosed the problem and fixed it right there, and it runs better than it ever has.
Wilson was so thorough and kind in explaining the cause, preventative measures, and his solution.
The charge for all this, including the trip here, was under $100.0,0, which is unheard of. We finally have a plumber we will always call whenever we have a problem. Highly recommend to anyone.

I know it's weird to say you love a plumber, but I love this company.

The sewer main backed up to our house. Ugh. A charming young man named Eduardo Navarro arrived the next day, on a holiday weekend, and quickly assessed that we needed some major work done. He was able to return with a camera the next night and give us a very comprehensive review of the problem - roots had grown into the pipes, and he was able to pinpoint exactly where this had occurred in our yard, despite our not having a clean-out pipe.

He then offered no less than 3 suggestions, fully explaining them and their associated costs, all the while not being pushy about any of the solutions. He wanted to make sure we fully understood what was going on. Eduardo was so patient with us and explained everything so well as we slowly realized what needed to happen.

Because of the situation, he gave us a price break on the snaking, and later even added an extra service gratis because the problem ended up being two different areas of root breakthrough rather than one.

He worked all day, partly in the rain, barely taking a break. He showed us the damaged pipe once he reached it so we could fully understand the problem. He also showed us a future problem we will have (roots growing through the pipes, but under the street) that will require a different, more expensive plumber, but he assured us we didn't need that yet.

I would hire Eduardo again in a heartbeat. We felt informed, educated, safe, and respected throughout. We felt we got value for our money because we felt he wanted to do his best for us at the best price.

My kitchen sink clogged. I called this company off of Yelp and I was VERY happy with them. Fair price, fast response and service (problem fixed within hours of my call), super nice technician (Alberto C.) and problem solved!
