Oh my goodness. I had the craziest repair experience that I've ever had in my life! Our landlord called in an appliance repair as requested due to the dishwasher backing up with stinky nasty water. We just moved in a couple months ago and noticed a foul smell coming from the dishwasher after it was run. We put a cleaning pod in there and ran it through the sanitize cycle. Smelled great for a while, then backed up again, tried that a few times but would not fix it. A Plus came out. Looked at the dishwasher for 10 min then said "there's no way this dishwasher has been run in 6 months". The look on my face must have been priceless because I was soooo confused. I said, "no, we've definitely run it because I thought perhaps it was just old water". He said "no that's impossible". Again thoroughly confused I said "uh... yes we definitely did". I even showed him the open bag of dishwasher pods. At this point I am beginning to realize he's basically trying to say I'm lying without directly saying it.... but I can read between lines... the massive obvious space between the lines. We go back and forth a couple times as I try explaining that I am not in fact a liar and we did in fact run the dishwasher. It is not making a dent in this guys certainty that I am lying for no apparent reason. (side note, why would I go through the trouble of calling a repair shop without pushing the start button on the dishwasher?? big ol smh) Any ways I try to steer the conversation to more constructive areas by saying, "ok so should I call a plumber? perhaps its backing up from the plumbing?" But he is not phased, he is firm in his commitment that I am some sort of psychopath that has nothing better to do than call and wait 5 hrs for appliance repair men to come out to a fake call. He tells me "no, no issue with the plumbing there are back up valves that prevent that". I say "ok well is it possible that the back up valves are failing". But once again I am told "no, there's nothing wrong with anything". At this point I am at a bit of a loss for words. But, then he throws me a curve ball. He adds in he can't touch anything else because I had taken the trap out of the dishwasher (thats the small filter that catches food etc so it doesn't clog the appliance). Yes I did take that out, as you are supposed to clean it and it would be the first place you check for clogs. I try working through this but he's not having it. He says "ok that's pretty much it" and straight up walks out the front door, doesn't leave a receipt, work ticket, work order, nothing. Just walks out and closes the door behind him. Well, needless to say I am now documenting the dishwasher running, in between cycles, and will be videoing the back up as it happens again. I have to agree with a previous reviewer, how in the world is this place still in business.

Same as the other reviews. Home warranty call, took my money, basically refused to fill out a simple form so that the oven could be replaced. When i call nothing but attitude and excuses. This place is a fraud

The absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. Technician was rude and disrespectful to my wife, bordering on threatening. Management is also rude during phone interactions and never returns calls (expect 10+ calls/ messages to get a call back). To top it off they didn't fix our fridge and never showed for a follow up appointment we scheduled. Absolute waste of time and money.

Horrible ..dishonest. Service tech did nothing to assess washer & dryer. Told me system was old & couldn't find parts, would recommend replacement.
Went back to home warranty & said transmission out on washer due to overloading?? I bought the house 11 months ago unit is over 20 years..
Dryer timer is broken due to physical damage...he didn't even take anything apart to inspect the timer.
    Disgusted!

After months of trying desperately to get appliance service providers to help me resolve an issue with my home warranty, finally A Plus Appliance was able to get me the results I needed. I spoke directly with the owner of the company and she was helpful, professional, and went out of her way to get in touch with my home warranty to resolve the issue. The customer service was excellent. Thank you!!!

All trouble!!!!! They lied and scammed my 70 year old mother and she’s been without a fridge for almost a year! They say they ordered parts and never returned phone calls. Then we searched and found parts we needed that they said they couldn’t get because of Covid, and we found them everywhere even locally. They’re nothing but liars and scammers who are shielded by fidelity home warranty who said they don’t care about reviews and ratings. I pray these thieves get shut down. I wonder if I have a case for elder abuse?

Very unreliable company. They run a scam together with Home insurance company. Was very aware given the 1 star rating on Google and Yelp for this business. I have cooktop issue for which the technician came and told that the burners are bad and will need to replaced.

2 months down they told very different story to Insurance company and stated they can not access the cooktop serial and model no which was never brought up by the technician.

I am going to write a complain to BBB and should look into taking further legal action to get their license suspended.

Worst ever I don’t even want them back in my home! Was told my washer would be perfect in a few days when they didn’t call I followed up and they said oh that’ll be at least 10 to 11 days who is going to tell me? I spoke to the manager and all she did was argue with me. Rather than excepting responsibility for the timeframe that they gave me she blamed the poor tech. Really it was her lack of excepting responsibility that ticked me off the tech was fine. I have a warranty through American home Shield I will call them but please please please do not use this company. Nightmare!

Like many others have said below, I dont understand how a business can operate like this, let alone be used/referred by a home warranty company (which I think are also scams). Anyways we had an issue with our fridge and Tom came out to take a look at it. Nice enough guy. However everything after that went downhill. It took over 5 months to get someone back out. Whether this is the insurance or a plus scheduling I’m not sure. When the “tech” did come back out finally to replace a part, it was something completely different and unrelated to the actual issue we were having. Also the tech proceeded to use our sponge in our sink to wash whatever he wanted to. Then grabbed our roll of paper towels and used as many as he needed. This is the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. Avoid this place if you value your time or home.

Tom and team are amazing! Got the job done faster than expected

Most unprofessional company I've ever worked with. Tom was completely incompetent. He left the house without testing the range after working on it resulting in the range was disabled for a week. Then blamed me for not fixing his screw up, leaving without making sure the range was safe. What kind of tech would leave a range in an unsafe condition? The office didn't care at all when I initially asked for someone to come back and check the range. Don't ever use this company if you value you home and belongings.

Update: I had a second appliance company come out. A Plus was wrong in the diagnosis of the issue and would have ordered the incorrect parts if I had not replaced them.

Worst experience with an appliance repair center!! They quickly came out to diagnose a fridge issue to collect their trip fee but never followed through. I called back for over two months asking for repair parts status and was told repeatedly that I would be called back the next day with an update on my ordered parts. They never called me back once! Sharon the manager kept claiming that the parts were made overseas and that no matter what repair center I ordered through I would be facing the same wait. Finally after a few months I decided to cancel the repair request and had my home insurance provide me with a second vendor. Vital appliances came out the next day, figured the issue out, and had everything repaired and in working order within 3 days!!! I had wasted months with this horrible company waiting when I could have had everything resolved in a few days! Stay away from this company! You can request your home warranties don't include them in your preferred vendor list if you need any appliance repairs.

I agree with Michael Gilley( see his review about 10 months ago). The tech came looked at the appliance gave absolutely wrong report back to the home warranty company that we misused the appliance so the home warranty denied the warranty and took lots of back and forth with the home warranty to get it back to warranty. I see they have done the same thing with other customers! Plus asked me to order something without coordinating with home warranty.

Please steer away from this company. They are unresponsive and unethical. After the first visit, they were to file with the home warranty company to have other parts of our over door replaced. I called and called to find out status, then after two months finally was able to speak to their manager.....who then lied to me. The Manager mentioned she had filed the approval with my home warranty company, which was not the case. Approval was never filed. To this day they still have not responded with their plans on fixing the oven door.
Please stay away. A waste of your time. Mine is being wasted having to deal with their ineptness and lies.

If I could give zero stars I would! I had a home warranty claim from the purchase of a newer home. The microwave was 6 months old and went bad. Tom came out and reported back to the warranty company that I misused the microwave, therefore the warranty company wouldn't cover a replacement. This dude is a scam and only wants the service fee.

I saw all of the bad reviews and if I was paying for it out my own pocket, which ultimately I will have to thanks to Tom, I would have looked elsewhere. Do yourself and everyone a favor, don't use these people and if your warranty company tries to use them, demand another company. You'll be glad you did!

Edit to your response: My warranty company has decided to cover my microwave after they further reviewed claim.

They said your and/or your company told them I was not using the microwave as intended and had placed it into a cabinet, thus not allowing for ventilation and the failure of the circuit board. You told them the microwave generated too much heat, which is odd because they don't generate heat, at least my model lacking any features sure as air fry, etc. They formed an opinion, certainly because of what you and/or your company said, was it was not a model that used a trim kit or designed by Whirlpool to be placed into a cabinet. When they saw my model did use a trim kit for cabinet applications, they reversed their decision based on your "report".

Although my warranty company doesn't generally cover countertop microwaves, once they realized it was in the cabinet with a trim kit, as designed, they decided to cover it. My microwave is a "countertop" model and arguably portable, hence the reason they are not generally covered, but once they realized my model and application was not meant to be portable, they chose to disagree with your assessment. They also refunded my service fee due to the inconvenience and confusion that you caused. Hopefully, they don't pay you.

Most important, I don't recall you took any photographs, so how could you provide my warranty company with photographs? Weird. I forwarded my photographs to the warranty company field representative just to show how much space existed above, below and on each side of the microwave while sitting inside the cabinet without the trim ring. Nevertheless, you told them my unit was placed in such a way, there was no ventilation. My photographs contradicted your "report".

There was also confusion to others based on your "report", which stated the circuit board overheated due to improper ventilation. My unit was inside a cabinet with arguably more ventilation than a "built-in" microwave and was not over a range, which is a constant heat source with that type of installation.

You provided an opinion as to why it failed, which you can't possibly do. You have no idea why the circuit board failed in a six month old unit, but it certainly wasn't because of where it was used. Sometimes, things just go bad and as an appliance repair guy, you should know that. Or is it always someone's fault?

All anyone has to do is read through your reviews and I think it should give them an idea of your service. If all that I accomplished by my review was to cause you to loose at least one customer, than I have succeeded. But given your horrible reviews, your business doesn't seem it would be thriving anyway. You probably survive on service calls through warranty companies and you rarely, if ever, get calls outside of that.

Hopefully my warranty company never uses you again. The area representative was concerned with my complaint given your odd "report".

I should have looked at your reviews before I allowed you into my home. Oh, well. Hopefully someone learns from my mistake. Bottom line, your company sucks and you should do better! If you did, you might get better reviews? Just saying...

Buddy, you're the one with a 1.3 average star rating, not me, and your Yelp rating isn't much better! I think you should rename your business F Minus Appliance and strive to improve...to at a least a C+?

This is not the company to call.
    No reliability,
    No communication,.
    No customer service.
This company was sent to me through Fidelity National Home Warranty. All these companies seem to be working together to avoid paying off claims or doing repairs. A+Plus is the second company that's been sent out by Fidelity. They came out on July 3rd and checked out my refrigerator. They told me they had to order a part to get it fixed. It's now August 16th and we still have a defective refrigerator. Since initially submitting this claim it's been over 5 months. I've called A-Plus a couple of times and they keep telling me they're waiting for a part. Not once have called me with an update. The first company that came out told me what needed to be fixed and then actually lied on the report to say that the repair has been complete. I told Fidelity I didn't want them on my property again. All of this is absolutely unacceptable. I advise staying away from all these home warranty companies. This is the second time I've had the same problem with them. I also advised staying away from their affiliates like A-Plus Appliance. They all work together and all they do is take your money. If you have any significant repair that needs to take place, forget about it. It's never going to get done. I give A Plus appliance the worst grade possible. I would never do business with them again.
It's now been 75 days since they diagnose my problem. The only contact that has been made is me calling them.
Do yourself a favor and when you see this name on your search engine, just skip to the next company. Save yourself a lot of grief.
When you deal with these companies your only option will be to take them to court and that is very time consuming and usually a waste of effort.

Our home warranty company assigned our repair to this company and I was dreading having them come out after the reading the reviews here. They actually ended up being excellent. They set up an appointment for 2 to 3pm and Tom showed up at 2:10. He quickly diagnosed the problem and had the part for our dishwasher in his truck. By 3:30, he had it repaired and cleaning dishes - and most importantly, not leaking.

We are beyond blessed to have been paired with A plus the American homeshield. Words can’t even describe their professionalism and their genuine desire to help. As a mom of 4 with a broken washing machine, you can only imagine the struggle. They call me early the next day after they were assigned- came to the house within hours and got my machine up and running in no time. We are forever grateful. Thank you Tom and Sharon for being the greatest!
