The owner Chris knows his stuff! We had a major remodel done and he came in and completely rewired our kitchen including but not limited to: kitchen island, pendants, multiple fixtures (plus a giant chandelier), Chris changed all our plugs and even relocated several. When we decided to have a Generac installed we called Chris Gilwee because he did some work for us several years ago that we appreciated and were satisfied with. He and his assistant Mike did not disappoint. They worked hard every day and Chris explained all phases of the installation. His price is fair and he is easy to work with. We highly recommend Chris.

Let's face it. It's hard to find an electrician, plumber, handyman who you fully trust. When you do, hold on to them. Gilwee Electric is one of those. After three different estimates and one electrician who started and then disappeared, we finally found Chris (Gilwee). He asked lots of questions before he gave an estimate, and when he showed up he was professional, but friendly. He did the two jobs we brought him in for quickly and efficiently. He did a great job of cleaning up (lots of dust from what he needed to do).

There are four things to look for in a tradesman: Honesty, competence, fairness and timeliness. Friendly is icing on the cake. Chris gets 5 stars on all. He runs his own company and we like to work with the small independents when we can. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a really good electrician and person!

Hi, 3/26/25 Chris & Trainee from Gilwee Electric replaced our old Electrical Panel. Chris coordinated with SMUD to turn the main power on & off. He also coordinated the inspection & permit with Sacto County. They were prompt, courteous & very professional answering any questions I had. Everything went smoothly & was completed that day. They did a great job & my husband & I would happily recommend them to our friends & family.

Gilwee Electric was wonderful! Showed up on time, installed the Generac generator, had the plumber come to connect the gas, and finally cleaned up the entire area. Could not get more pleasant or efficient people. I love my new Generac generator!!!!!
