The technicians that provide the regular maintenance for my HVAC are always so professional and friendly. The most recent technician, Theron, went above and beyond and repaired a broken slat in my gate leading to my HVAC. I am definitely happy with the service!

Responded very quickly to our call for help. Joe the tech arrived the next day and diagnosed the reason that our 3 year old American Standard heat pump's electricity usage had recently doubled. The heat pump had been installed by another company which had closed. R.O. Cook was able to get the new part within a day and Joe and his helper came back the next day and repaired the unit. With several days of PG&E data, it looks like our electricity usage is back to normal. The failed part cost was covered by warranty, the labor cost was not covered by warranty but that was clearly stated in the contract and the labor cost was reasonable so ok. The unfortunate surprise was the refrigerant. The existing refrigerant was recycled and new refrigerant loaded into the heat pump at a cost of thousands of dollars and was NOT covered by warranty. The wording of the manufacturer's warranty stated that parts were covered and refrigerant is considered a supply in the industry so it's not covered. This was not an R.O. Cook issue but we are not feeling great about that situation.

Theron is extremely diligent when he has come to service the heat pump we purchased from Ray O. Cook. He takes the time to go over all pertinent info and very conscientious of our time.

Showed up right on time. Clean cut. Even put covers on his shoes before entering my home. Got right to work and had my American Standard furnace up and going in no time. I highly recommend Ray O Cook Heating and Air.
