Took 3 weeks to get our dishwasher fixed. Took over a week for tech to come. Then when he came he found out the wrong part came. Then he ordered the correct part and then it took another 1 1/2 weeks to get the tech back. Tech was great but they need many more of them. We are paying for the service, but over a week for the tech to get to our house is not acceptable. We are a long time Sears’s customer, but what happened to the days when we could get our appliances fixed in 2-3 days not 3-4 weeks?

The service technicians themselves are very good. The big problem is not only the 10 days it takes to get a technician out but their terrible scheduling. Sears told me the technician would be at my home between 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. I took a half day off of work and at 11:30 I called Sears and the automatic system told me the technician would be at my house at 2:15 p.m. I contacted a live person and complained and the technician showed up at 1:15. When the tech was at my house he said the dispatch tried to put 2 more service calls in front of mine. So their scheduling dept is the ridiculous inconsiderate dept. That is the department that needs to be completely re-organized.

Called sears appliance repair to troubleshoot my refrigerator not cooling. I first had to agree to a $99.00 payment which would be credited to any repairs. The service technician showed up and took the temperature of my freezer and my fridge and said that my compressor was bad. He spent a total of 20 seconds of troubleshooting to come to this determination. He said that it would cost upwards of one thousand dollars plus to repair and that I might as well just buy a new fridge. He charged us $99 and left. I unplugged the fridge for ten minutes to see if it would reset any trouble codes. I plugged it back in and I could hear the compressor running. The next morning I checked the fridge and it was cold and making ice again. Unfortunately I had purchased a new fridge on the advice of the Sears technician telling me that my fridge was broke. Sears Appliance repair is unprofessional and I would advise to not use this service. I am currently seeking a small claims lawsuit.

This was a real nightmare. Sears is great at calling you and offering repair coverage, but when it comes time to do the work, it never gets finished. We had coverage on our water heater. As is the norm, we called to get it fixed, and the repair man was not able to come out until the next week. They never mention that when they sell you the coverage. The repair man looked at the water heater, and decided it needed to be replaced Unfortunately the replacement water heater is on back order, and wouldn't be available for a month. The repair service allowed us to go out and buy a replacement which they would reimburse us for. When we bought the replacement another install crew was sent out to put the water heater in. They told us it could not be done unless we paid another $700. We argued with them, and the price went down to $500. In the end, they were unable to install the water heater. Long story short, it has been 3 weeks, and our old water heater still needs to be replaced.

DON'T PURCHASE THEIR SERVICE PLANS. YOU WON'T GET ANY SERVICE.

1st service call - diagnosed the problem as the control panel - I paid $288.89 by check and was told that it would be an additional $158.68 when the part was installed. The repairman was given instructions to send the part to an address different from my home address, as I would be gone for an extended amount of time. My daughter would be here for the appointment to install the part. The part was not sent to the address given, so the appointment had to be cancelled. When I returned home and got my mail from the post office, I found that the part had been sent to my home. I also received a letter from Sears stating that they were unable to collect money on the check and I was to send another $288.89.
Got another appointment to install the part - service repairman found that there was nothing wrong with the control panel and that another part was broken. Part was ordered and a 3rd appointment was made. After several call to Sears, with no positive outcome, I put a stop payment on the check. Michael installed the new actuator and shifter and took the unneeded control panel. After over a month, I finally have a washer that works. I realize that mistakes are made, but when calls were made to the Customer Solutions department, they were always very disinterested in my problems. I've been with Sears for years, but I'm very dissatisfied with this entire debacle.

In general my experience with repairs has not been positive. This was a very positive experience. The technician came promptly, was courteous and knowledgeable. He went far out of his way to obtain a needed part and returned late to complete the repair so I would not have an extended outage of my appliance.

On time, courteous, found the problem fast and fixed it.

The technician, David ,was excellent and I will request him again. I am not happy in the fact that I had to wait more than 2 weeks for the tech to come for the repair. I had to have him come back because a previous repair from a different tech didn't hold. That was better than one month for 2 visits to my home. Sears, hire more techs.

My fridge had issues before it was even a year old. The tech came out and ordered new parts under my warranty on 12/17. Today is 4/6 and I JUST got it fixed. Someone came out in Januaryand did it was the wrong part and reordered the SAME EXACT PART! I’ve been waiting for Sears to come fix it. I’ve called them 7 times asking for a supervisor. They scheduled me 4 appointments without my knowledge and 2 of them nobody even showed up and I told time off of work to be home and got no cancellation notice…nothing. The other two times I just ignored them as I kept asking for a supervisor to call me with no response. I tried their chat and twice requested a supervisor and I’ve still not received a call and that was 3 weeks ago. I’m beyond disappointed and if I could return this fridge and buy it elsewhere even if it were more money I would so I don’t ever have to deal with Sears and their lack of customer service again. I’ve filed a formal complaint with The BBB as well since nobody at Sears seems to care.

Techs are great. I recommend you go out and look at the job when the panels are removed. The tech today went ahead and fixed the issue and also provided some much needed maintenance. The other tech did not. My AC broke after the first visit. I guess some techs are more thorough. I recommend to schedule on the phone vs online. Sears Warranty confused my internet appointment. I paid the price. Nightmare to fix.

The repairman gets 5 stars. He was very professional and nice but price for the refrigerator fan motor was outrageous at $445.00. I can buy a new refrigerator for $699.00. I did not get the repair but had to pay $105.00 for the diagnosis.

Horrible service !! Doesn’t know how to communicate, very RUDE. Had several appt scheduled thru warranty from Sears. On Feb 27 whirlpool refrigerator was inspected by tech and parts were order # 45347683.
Until continued to NOT a work property I called back and they dispatched Robert tech 0689786 who refused to provide service.

On May 17. Another tech 0210089
was dispatched ( very kind) until was inspected he shared unit wasn’t fixed correctly and (3)additional parts ordered again by tech.

Parts arrives reached out to Sears to advise parts were avail and they scheduled Robert T. Again whom had horrible attitude on phone and never showed up to appt scheduled on 5/7/24 between 8-12.

After this experience I refuse to purchase any other warranty through Sears. Will definitely take business else where .

The service guy was very nice and helpful. PLEASE do not use this against him! He is the only person that knows his job very well. However, Sears warranty program is AWFUL! My refrigerator is still broke. The previous tech was rude and lied that his truck broke down on 2 different Saturdays. Yes, he was scheduled to assess frig on a Saturday and the following Saturday to come back and repair with part. I was rescheduled over 4-5 times and my food spoiled thus had to throw it all away, plus out of pocket expense for eating out. I have made a formal compliant to BBB! This is pure fraud! Each Saturday they had me sit around waiting for hours, then cancel by the end of the day. There is no recourse for Sears. I have all Kenmore appliances. Your customer service reps can never find my contract/warranty and then all they say is that they are sorry. I am out of sooo much money due to your negligence!

Enrique installed new parts in our refrigerator, but didn’t fill the freon. The refrigerator never got cold, the ice was melting, and we lost a bunch of food.

Great service. It was a hard job because of the way my contractor had installed the oven. Enrique was very knowledgeable, patient, and careful with the floor and areas around my oven. Thank you.

Two and half months and Sears has been unable to procure parts to fix my washing machine. They schedule and cancel appointments multiple times. I have lost time from work and have spent additional money washing my clothes elsewhere. They informed me today that all parts now have to be reordered because they don’t know where they went. Just replace my washing machine already!!!! Enough wasted time and money! Stop cutting corners!!! Focus on Customers!!! So incredibly frustrated and disappointed in the deteriorating service of a once dependable company.
