Jorge and his skilled workers are the best. They completely remodeled a two bedroom condo for me, and the quality of their work is unequaled. This is my second project with Jorge and I didn't get another estimate because I know his work and I trust him completely. My designer daughter and I were very particular and Jorge was patient and accommodating. He is professional, and his cost is reasonable. It is a joy to work with him.

Peninsula Construction is tops in quality and professionalism. They've completed several jobs for us (from a complete bathroom remodel to small repairs) and every one has been worry-free. Jorge, the owner, is honest, diligent, and has an excellent work ethic. He's at the job site to define the scope/details of the job to the worker's before a job begins, and inspects regularly to ensure that it is done according to code and to his quality standards. And the inevitable job-site course changes and decisions are handled fairly and without drama - i.e. you shouldn't expect a change order for every small deviation from the plan. His workers are courteous and cleanup after every work day and Jorge insists on their respect for your home and belongs. His estimating process is thorough and detailed, so for large projects you can see the completion status of each line item as the job progresses, which allows you to have a payment plan based on actual completion rather than periodic arbitrary payments. Highly recommended!

This has been the third major remodel done by Jorge and his excellent construction team on my condominium. They repainted and did repairs on the entire condo., a renovation of. the kitchen and bathroom counter tops , and recently a complete overhaul of the bathroom.

Jorge and his team did an amazing job with the remodel of our bathroom. We did a basic rip and replace but what stood out the most was the high caliber team, high quality of work, their attention to detail, and the consistent and reliable communication. If you’re doing an addition or renovation to your home - you want to know Contos Builders. I have done several renovations and what seems like constant upgrades to my almost 70 year old Eichler home. But adding a new room and using Contos Builders was my best move in the lifespan of all the projects.
Here’s why; Ryan Contos the owner is a rarity I’ve found, as a builder he’s on time (a big deal!), he does what he says he going to do when he says he going to do it. And most of all - he has a permanent crew of guys that have a “you need to do the right thing” attitude. By that I mean they think about what’s going on, big picture wise; for example if the architectural drawings call for X to be framed out, but if that pushes something sideways down the pike they take note, stop and make calls to Ryan and subsequently the client in order to make a decision vs just going with the program and having to redo or uninstall something down the road and delaying .
Key and important facts:
- Crew shows up everyday on time and puts in a full days work - even if the “boss” is not there!
- Crew cleans up their job-site everyday before they leave, no trash blowing around, no sawdust everywhere
- Ryan texts or calls if there’s a change in any plans, scheduling or project deliveries - communication is clear and consistent!
- Milestone payments are defined upfront and tied to marked deliverables being completed (i.e. - Sheetrock inspection completed by county etc.)
- So not to drone on with my story too long here’s my summary:
Overall the project was really great!, The work product his team delivery’s is TOP NOTCH and timeline that they were able to get then work completed in was absolutely incredible! A 400+ SQFT addition completed in 4 1/2 months - with inspections! And I feel like we got a really fair price.

We contracted Contos Builders in August 2022 to handle our appx. 600 sq ft addition to our house in Redwood City which included adding a bathroom and bedrooms. We were incredibly happy with Ryan and his team led by Eddie his foreman. The crew was punctual and worked clean. Each day at end of day the crew would clean up and make sure we had the access we needed when we returned home from school and work. The quality of the work was outstanding, with great attention to detail in style and functionality paid from foundation to finish work. Ryan himself was very easy to work with, very available via phone call or text. He was able to pick-up any and all changes that were made during the process to ensure the final product was exactly what we wanted. His Foreman Eddie was also very easy to communicate with and would often relay messages from us to Ryan and vice-versa if Ryan himself wasn't on site. We were kept up-to-date regarding the schedule and days of work, with the crew being at our house pretty much every day from the first day of prep to the final days of painting and flooring. In addition, Ryan did a *fantastic* job managing the sub-contractors that did work at our site. He was able to keep on top of all the subs and ensure that our job was their priority and that work was completed in a timely manner. That was key to us getting done with the entire process in just over 6 months, which is very fast for this type of build. Another plus was that we had plans done by our own architect, and even though Ryan had not worked with him before, they were able to form a working relationship quickly and he communicated directly with the Architect once the job got started. I highly recommend Contos Builders for your residential project.

Ryan and his crew are very polite, respectful and very knowledgeable. The quality of his craftsmanship is fabulous. We did get a couple of quotes he was not the cheapest. He was hired to do a complete home remodel (left one wall standing) and did not disappoint. I would highly recommend him again and again!

We are currently in a project with them and it’s going really well. They communicate well, are prompt, they are clean and honesty.

We had a great experience with Rojas Construction. Our kitchen job was fairly complex, it was a complete renovation with new appliances, cabinets, and building out a new area and wiring for the washer/dryer. Plus it required access to and work in our neighbors' apartment. Rudy (the job boss) and the crew were fantastic. Rudy was especially great. He was very responsive and kept us abreast of next steps and what to expect. Same goes for Jeff at the office. We couldn't be happier with the final kitchen.

I have worked with Rojas Construction on projects at my house and also add some small apartment complexes that I manage. The Rojas team is always professional and they complete projects on time and budget. Of the 10+ projects I have hired them for, I've never received a change order that was not obviously appropriate. They always do what is right and many times don't charge extra even when they could. I highly recommend Rojas Construction!

We recently remodeled a family home with Rojas Construction this summer, putting in an entirely new kitchen, remodeling the bathrooms, putting in new windows & doors, revamped exterior stucco, updated electrical, finished garage, etc.

Rudy and his team were incredible partners in the process and we couldn’t have accomplished what we set out to do without them. They finished the job on time and on budget, with excellent communication and really good project management on their part to keep things moving along smoothly, including all interactions with the city and required permitting.

The subs they’ve enlisted (and have apparently worked with for many years) are excellent craftsmen in each of their specialty areas - tiling, countertops, hardwood floors, painting, electrical, etc.

Overall, the quality of the work and attention to detail was top notch and when there were issues to resolve, Rudy and team always had a can-do attitude, helpful suggestions on how to attack the problem, and they fixed everything until we were happy with the results. A realtor friend, who helped us with a once-over look at the house when things were done, complimented the workmanship as well.

Special kudos go to Oliver on Rudy’s team who was so patient with our requests, is an amazing builder in his own right, and a terrific communicator.

We can’t recommend Rojas Construction more highly; they are truly a class act.

So it took me a long time to pull the trigger and hire a construction company to do some remodeling of my home. I’ve always had difficulties with contractors and poor work. But I saw Rojas Construction on my block remodel, three homes. So I was able to see the workers coming every day and the quality of work that they were doing. I had met with several other contractors, but they were very dismissive or weren’t interested in the job or just never responded to me. Rudy was willing to work with me on my project and even gave me some great suggestions. The number one thing I look for in hiring someone is communication. We know that in life things can go off the rails, but it’s how you handle it which is important to me. Whenever I called or texted Rudy he always responded very quickly. His workers were always on time and so nice and polite and helpful. Their work is top notch and worth every penny. They would even add a few things here and there to make the finished product look amazing. I am so happy with Rudy and Rojas Construction. I highly recommend. I will not hesitate to use them again for some other work down the road.

Rojas construction. They have already completed a few jobs on our house. They are excellent craftsman, very professional and very neat and clean. They work in a timely manner. Rojas Construction cleaned and repaired lots of dry rot around our home and it came out beautifully. They also installed a new front door and replaced all the framing around the door due to wood rot. I have a home that was built in the 1980s and they were able to match the existing color with the new paint. I’m in love with our new front dood. Rojas Construction will be our go to from now on. I highly recommend them!
