I've used Cut Once Remodeling (COR) for four projects in my home: Roof replacement, Cool Painting of my house and garage exterior, a new external stairway, and replacement of four windows.

The COR sales people answer questions and visit the worksite, as do COR employees to evaluate the progress of the project, and answer questions. There is more oversight on my COR jobs than any other contractor I've used.

Occasional issues arise, which COR has negotiated with me. My only criticism has been that some non-COR workers (subcontractors) have done careless work or sloppy clean-up. Mostly, these are not major issues, but I expect more, and I have not seen the "bad" ones on my subsequent jobs. Whether COR quit using these contractors, or simply assigned them to different jobs, I don't know. But, they kept them off my jobs.

I have hired over a dozen home improvement contractors during my 45+ years of ownership. I've ended up with horrible, bad, C+, and pretty-good companies. COR has outperformed all of them. Give them a try and don't be afraid of talking to them about work (if any) is not up to your standards. They listen and do what they can to make you satisfied.

Recently had my exterior done by COR. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. I leave early for work and come home late so I never saw the work taking place. David and Rhay called me daily to keep me informed about what to expect next and how the day went. Sounded like there was a little bit of unexpected damage as it took one day longer than expected. My house looks amazing. I’m very happy with my purchase. I would recommend COR to anyone looking for a good job done right.

Yet another fantastic job done. Our house might have bones from the 60s but you would never know it if I didn’t tell you. Thank you again for the complete restore of our home.

There is no doubt that COR is more expensive but I can say without a doubt, I got exactly what I paid for and would recommend them. My son is already planning to call them after Memorial weekend to have COR revamp his exterior.

Recently moved to San Diego for work. Bought a fixer-upper. Hired these guys to do a multitude of jobs: New roof, replace the old siding that was falling apart and paint, new windows, and a sunroom. Working with them so very easy. I wish they did flooring too but it is what it is. The staff and the workmen were great. Communication was top notch. I 100% recommend them. Thank you for the new home!

Over the last 4 years we have decided to hire COR 3 times. Each time we were extremely satisfied. We have owned our house for 36 years and have never encountered a company as organized and communicative as this one. As long as you can afford it, you cant go wrong in making a decision to hire them. You’ll get great work and fantastic products with little to no stress during the whole job.

Roof Replacement was completed very quickly. The representatives from COR were very responsive to concerns that I had during construction. Representatives returned after the completion of the installation to insure the roof was completed to my complete satisfaction.

Cut Once Remodel (C.O.R.)of Torrance and San Diego California received an overall rating of 3.0 out of 5 stars based on our recent roof project from 2023.

Strengths noted include the use of quality materials (Corning), realistic timelines, and consistently excellent communication during the project. The Quality Control department's lead representative ( Dee) was particularly effective, helpful, and positive in expediting a repair.

Weaknesses cited are high-pressure sales tactics and an excessively long presentation. Workmanship was problematic, highlighted by numerous protruding nails noted by a subsequent contractor (CertaPro Painters). The company initially provided a defensive and unsatisfactory excuse regarding faulty chimney flashing, requiring escalation to Quality Control for proper resolution.

Professionalism with skilled labor. If mistakes are made they make it right. I have used them for two jobs with great results. It is difficult to find a company that back up there words with deeds. I recommend them 💯%.

The customer service was outstanding. I received daily morning phone calls to explain what I should expect done that day followed by a supervisor physical inspection every evening. The work performed was excellent. We had a small hiccup that was discovered after the job was completed (which is common on many construction projects) and the problem was taken care of the following day!

I had a leak coming in directly into my room and had a tarp for a while trying to find someone to help me. One day a lady from this company stopped by after noticing it and immediately got to helping me. This has been such an easy experience. They help you out with everything and they’re incredibly communicative so you are fully involved in the process. There was a little hiccup but they let me know immediately and also fixed it right away at no additional cost. If I ever have another project this is the first company I will reach out to for sure. Amazing work and people !

Fantastic experience! Folks were knowledgeable, non-pressure, professional, and very reassuring. The communication was outstanding. I couldn't recommend Cut Once Remodling more. We had our Cool Wall applied in less than a week. The house looks amazing! In fact we were so impressed that we are also getting our windows updated by Cut Once Remodeling.

They painted the exterior of my house and installed a new roof. They were great and very easy to work with. I had already booked them to do the exterior painting when I realized I had issues with my roof. They quickly mobilized and seamlessly integrated the work into the existing project plan. I felt like they took care of my house the way they'd take care of their own.

Overall, they produced quality work and I appreciated the attention to detail and the constant and clear communication throughout the entire process.

COR is an amazing company. They are not pushy, which I love being that I have anxiety. They are very communicative and always keep you in the loop. They are reputable. They have high standards. Their crews are great and very friendly. Valeria and Rhay where the ones helping us and they were great through the whole process. They were very personable. They also came multiple times throughout the project to make sure it was going the way it was supposed to. 10 out of 10, would recommend. I am definitely going to them again if I need more work done on the house. The photo isn't the best because of the lighting but trust me it is amazing. They did a phenomenal job.

I’m based in NYC but used DB Construction for my second business project in San Diego, and they made the whole process easy even from a distance. Communication was solid, they kept me updated, and the quality came out exactly how I wanted. No headaches, no surprises. Would definitely use them again.
