Tim was very helpful and solved my problem quickly and affordably. It wasn't covered under my home warranty but he came up with a solution that got me what I needed and didn't end up costing my first born! Thank you so much!

I recently hired Ignacio to troubleshoot a number of electrical problems in my home, including a doorbell that was malfunctioning, flickering lights, an exhaust fan that wasn't working properly, a ceiling fan that was wobbling, and an EV charger outlet that wasn't working. I was very disappointed with his work.
Ignacio arrived at my home on time, but he only spent a few minutes troubleshooting the problems. He didn't seem to be very thorough in his examination, and he didn't really explain to me what was causing the problems. He also didn't provide me with any estimates for the repairs.
I was particularly disappointed with Ignacio's troubleshooting of the EV charger outlet. He simply plugged in his tester and said that the outlet was working properly. However, I knew that the outlet was not working because I had tried to charge my car several times and it had not worked.
I ended up calling another electrician to fix the problems. The new electrician was able to diagnose the problems quickly and easily. He also provided me with estimates for the repairs before he started any work.
I would not recommend Ignacio to anyone. He is not a very thorough or competent electrician. -
Service call from American Home Shield, arc fault breaker keeps tripping. Got here, didn't look at anything, says the warranty doesn't cover it (which it does). Will switch the breaker for $85 cash or $130 credit card, ohh and he doesn't carry any cash so if you only have a hundred he gets a 15 tip....such a scam. If you warranty try's to send them request another company!

Ignacio was so friendly and helpful! My husband and I were noticing that some lights were flickering in our recently purchased condo and wanted to ensure nothing was seriously wrong. He took the time to test all of our breakers and we realized that almost every light in our condo was on the same breaker, which can cause flickering. He had great tips to help with that and was very patient with all of the questions we asked. Would absolutely work with him again!

After 4 different electricians that wouldn’t touch trying to fix this issue with my outlet/switch for a year almost, City 1st was the first professional company that showed up on time, was professional, nice and friendly and fixed the issue within an hour. Tim was super nice and professional and knew exactly what to do! I will call on them above all other companies I’ve tried.

I contracted City First Electric through my home warranty - after a bad experience with a different contractor - and I couldn't be happier with the outcome! The City First technician showed up on, and was professional and courteous throughout. He quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed it. But more than that, he went above and beyond by teaching me how the different outlets in my house were wired together, and gave me tips on how to avoid the issue in the future. I really appreciate his approach and demeanor, and I would happily work with City First Electric again.

Tim was absolutely fantastic! He arrived on time and ready to go to work. He was not only professional but also personable and courteous. He provided excellent service and I would definitely recommend him again.

This company is very dishonest - they provide false information to the customer and the home warranty and their pricing is predatory - they want to charge $850 to just cut a drywall for a fan.

They were assigned through American Home Shield and everything seemed fine when the technician came. There were 5 outlets in my bathroom that weren't working. He checked each one, looked at the breaker panels and the main breaker and then told me that it didn't appear to be any of the usual reasons for outlet malfunction and it must be something in the wiring, and that he'd have to come back and follow the wires up to see where the problem was-possibly even open the walls. As an aside, I don't plug many things into my bathroom outlets and rarely use a blow dryer or curling iron and only one of the outlets had anything plugged into it (an energy efficient bidet that is off when not being used). I waited for a response and finally got a mail from American Home Shield saying the job was complete. I called City First and they told me AHS had denied the authorization for the second visit because an overblown circuit wasn't covered. Apparently, the report the electrician sent in said that there was a bidet that was not to code and that the circuit blew when I ran a blowdryer at the same time. That's not what happened and not what the technician told me. It was, apparently, his supervisor who wasn't present that filed the report. So, they lied. And then I had to haggle with AHS to get a second opinion because it was more than 6 days after the original denial. So both AHS and City Electric bumbled this. But lying? City Electric technicians falsify reports to warranty companies. I called them and gave them many opportunities to have me speak directly to the tech and the supervisor but THEY REFUSED TO TALK TO ME. Don't use this dishonest company. Maybe the good reviews involved different techs and supervisors than I had.
Update. A second opinion came out today and diagnosed a simple bad GFCI outlet in a cabinet in my bathroom, replaced it and everything works now. So proof that City Electric was lying about their report and didn't even try to solve the problem. -
I have AHS home warranty, they came out and told me the breaker was a bad one and shouldn't have been used from the builder. They say they'll come back once the repair is approved. I follow up with AHS, they were told that I overloaded the circuit with laundry room and an outlet used for living room entertainment. My home was built in 2019 and im 100% sure that it had to pass all inspection when the house was built. Because they told AHS a different story than what the technician told me AHS won't approve the claim. Reading some other bad reviews, it seems im not the only where technician says one thing and tell AHS another. It make you think they are trying to scam the system. Decent reviews apparently, but don't trust them especially if you are going through with home warranty! Request another service provider!

My husband said “don’t lose the name of this contractor.” he was very impressed with Tim, who not only fixed the doorbell, but did one little extra at no additional cost and it was one of the best experiences we’ve had with a First American Contractor. First American tried assigning another company, and after reading their terrible reviews I canceled and was about to cancel our contract as well. But thankfully, we have excellent results from Tim. He was here in a very short time and fixed the wiring and our doorbell finally works so thank you.!

First of all they went out of their way to get me the appointment quickly because the power and hot water were out. The technician arrived promptly. He was friendly and polite. He fixed the issue very quickly. I am 100% happy with the great service!!

First of all, their response time is awesome. I got a confirmation from my home warranty that they accepted the job and I swear I got a call 30 seconds later and scheduled the service. First time that's ever happened, normally (with other contractors), I get a call within the next day or two.
When the technician showed up (I think his name was Tim), he quickly diagnosed an nagging electrical issue I was having (no electric in several rooms) and fixed it quickly and efficiently.
As a homeowner, this type of excellent service is invaluable. Consider me a very satisfied and now very loyal customer. To anyone looking for any electrical service, I HIGHLY recommend City First.
Keep up the great work! ⚡ -
Scheduled through my home warranty; my doorbell was broken and they fixed it quick and easy!

I really do not know how this company continues to stay in Business. I had them come out through my home warranty for a small electrical job. They came out and were not sure if it would be covered. Well 3 weeks later and me calling 5 different times with them never calling back, I eventually was told by my Home warranty company that it would not be covered but call back City first if I still wanted the job to be completed. I then called them and asked them how much, they gave me a very high quote which didn’t seem right. I asked if I could talk to the manger who does the bids to call me and see if he could lower it since it took so long. A week later nothing. I called again and they gave me the same promise to have someone call me back and nothing. Finally my home warranty refund me since they felt bad how long they took. Speed forward nearly a month and a half later, I got the easy job done for half the quoted cost by a much higher rated licensed electrician. Maybe this company does good work, but I don’t know how they still operate since their managers either don’t care or don’t know what they are doing.

0 Stars – If I Could Go Lower, I Would. This company is an absolute nightmare. Customer service is a total absolute incompetent trash. Nobody knows what’s going on, and we’ve been bounced back and forth with American Home Shield for months and weeks. Every time we’re promised a call back, it never happens. Zero accountability, zero follow-through, just a total waste of our time. All this headache just to repair or replace TWO exhaust fans. Completely ridiculous and beyond frustrating.

This is a terrible incompentent and fraudulent company that works for American Home Shield. They simply collect a deductible and turn down your claim. They are a complete fraud and should lose their contractors license. I will be reporting them to the Contractors Borad and disputing all charges with my CC Company and cancelling the Home Warranty for fraud
