Serviceman very polite & competent -- so grateful for fast service last minute on a SAT morning as I recover from surgery ! The fee was expensive and a bit shocking but seniors go way back to a time in their life experience when these services cost far less.

Had sewage pump failure on a sewage tank system. Googled to find another plumber to fix sewage pump system. Heise's appeared on search results. They were willing to come out that day to see if they could help. Most could not come out same day.

Plumber was nice guy, but without additional staffing and equipment to open the sewage tank, he couldn't do anything.

Think they would be fine for handyman level jobs. Not commercial scale jobs.

Called because dishwasher wasn’t draining and water was leaking into garage below it. 2 men came and rather than trying to find the problem, just recommended a new dishwasher. One of them though cleaned the outside of stove vent and recommended that a handyman do further work on it.

On a second visit to repair what was discovered on the first, they thoroughly checked the downspout, determined where the fault was after testing, and sealed the part of the downspout that appeared to be the source of the leak. Both were professional, diligent and courteous. They promised to return if the problem continued. I’m pleased with their work.

The plumbers were on time, friendly, knowledgable and very efficient in their work. They explained the issue and the options to repair. I would definitely hire from Heise's Plumbing again.

The technician was excellent and was very knowledgeable and professional. Caesar was perfect. The cost was the only downside. $350 an hour is excessive. However, I was in a bind being around the holidays and they had appointments right away.

I will never use another plumber. They are super experienced, nice and very helpful. They solved a difficult problem with my gas line and I can't thank them enough! I don't think anyone else cojld have solved this mess my gas line was in. I love Heise's plumbing!

I’ll admit, this review starts in a dark place: me, stricken with violent food poisoning from a local establishment, unable to reach the porcelain shrine in time, and instead baptizing my poor bathroom sink. After trying every “recommended algorithm” for unclogging (remove solids, hot water, vinegar & baking soda, plunger, bargaining with higher powers), nothing worked.

Enter O’Grady Plumbing (now part of Heise’s Plumbing). Within three hours, Cesar arrived—an hour early, no less. First, he tried the classic snake. No dice. Then he brought out the power snake machine, removed the P-trap, and went to work like a cardiologist clearing a clogged artery. In under seven minutes of serious pipe surgery, we discovered the culprit: a grotesque hair/soap/cleanser wad of doom that had apparently been building for ages.

Cesar was thorough, professional, and honestly heroic. For those who balk at the minimum service fee—remember you’re not just paying someone to wiggle a tool. You’re paying for diagnosis, labor, equipment, and peace of mind. If you wouldn’t cheap out on a heart stent, don’t cheap out on your pipes.

Moral of the story: call the experts, call Heise’s/O’Grady Plumbing, and your drains (and dignity) will thank you. Bravo, Cesar!

Scheduling is great, price is good, service is good. Used twice now. Moved over from another plumber, so hope to continue using Heise's going forward for my properties as long as good experience continues.

Excellent service. James and his co-worker were skilled, professional, and very pleasant. They did an excellent job, and on short notice. I'm definitely a continuing customer and am happy to recommend Heise's Plumbing. On a more recent visit, Ceasar did an equally skilled job (on a different, but related, project), and was also very professional and pleasant. In both cases, Heise's Plumbing was very responsive and provided excellent service on short notice.

I had a great experience with Heise! They were able to accommodate my request the same day, and the technician who fixed my water heater was fantastic. Highly recommend their service!

Had them do a bid on a water pressure regulator and replacing a broken drain pipe on the side of the house. They did a thorough estimation looking for ways to cut costs while still doing quality work. Their bid was competitive the scheduled me in the next business day. I appreciated the time they took to explain the details of the job. As a bonus, my washing machine no longer makes a loud vibrating sound when it pulls water. Very happy with the work and would use them again.

Fast and responsive - helped me out late on a Sunday night. Pricing was transparent. Service provider was on-time, professional and communicative. I hope I don't need them again but they will be my first call if I ever do.

Very responsive company. There said 1-2 hours and came before an hour. He was quick and finding and fixing the leaks. The price especially after the holiday was very fair. This was my second time using the company and will highly recommend them to anyone.

Erick and his partner installed our new Toto toilet and washlet. Not every plumber is familiar with these toilets/washlets, but they were efficient and knew what they were doing.
Very satisfied with the service, and would use Heise's again.

Love Heise's; they've been our go to plumber for years, across multiple different places we've lived in the city. They have always been fair with us and I never get the feeling that I'm being overcharged just because we're in a pinch. Given this, I was thrilled to see that they've added appliances to their services! We had a washing machine that needed to be replaced and it was in a terrible location; stacked under a gas dryer with no space on either side to manuever.

Huge shout outs to our techs Caesar and Tomasz; they were excellent and made sure we got our washer installed correctly despite all the obstacles. Also big thanks to Sachiko who helped us get everything scheduled and was so friendly!

If there is a service you need and Heise's provides it, you won't be disappointed.

Disappointing! The technician's scheduled arrival time frame was between 2pm-4pm, and the technician was to notify me when he was on the way. When I was not notified by 3:30pm, I called the office and learned the technician had arrived at 1:45pm and had already finished the job. Whether a snafu or misdial, I was not notified; consequently, I was not there as planned to oversee the work. I don't know what was the problem, the cause, or what repairs were done. Maybe their bill will detail the repair work done. If not, I will need to call the office again with my questions. Heise's has been my go-to plumber for several years and always a five-star service. This is the first time an appointment was handled so carelessly. I am not a happy camper. I hope this experience is an exception, and not the new normal.

Major leak under kitchen sink; the plumber identified three problems and worked very hard to fix them. The customer service representative responded quickly to have him out to our house. Excellent service all around.

Eddie arrived on time and did a beautiful installation of replacement faucets at two of our sinks in 4 hours, despite a challenging configuration at both locations.

T10/21: Honestly this experience was not great. Low customer service/bedside manner (indifferent attitude, did not seem knowledgeable, “just doing my job” kind of bad vibe). Confusing and conflicting communication. The crew got the job “done” repairing our gas lines. I still smell gas and now we have new holes in our existing gypsum board ceilings that were left without comment, apology, or patching.

I used to have a high opinion of Heise’s until now. Will see how it goes from here. We all have bad days. Maybe we our bad days happened to line up today. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

W10/22-UPDATE: Heise’s A-Team was responsive to the call back and made it right with apologetic kindness, patience, and expertise. Night and day difference in communication and willingness to explain the work they are doing.

I wish I did not have to write what I wrote yesterday, but when you hear “gas leak” and “hazardous”, you want the work done right and to be taken seriously. Yesterday I was not.

Today my opinion of Heise’s is redeemed.

My advice to consumers, if you get a gut feeling at the start that you are not dealing with a tech that is ready to do the work with expertise, pause the work and check with a supervisor. I know I know… a Karen asking for a supervisor. I swear I am not that person. I just don’t want my house to blow up.
