They were always on-call to respond to any raised concerns, addressed technical issues expeditiously, very meticulous to details & being onsite as needed to getting unforeseen problems resolved.

Given Charles' extensive experience on home renovation, his recommendations for change transformed our home built in the late '60s to a living architectural wonder of grander, from expansive open concept to vast degree of modern amenities.

Upon buying our home in early 2020, we knew we immediately wanted to remodel much of our home before moving in. After some research and looking at other projects they had done, we went with Z Design Construction. We have absolutely no regrets about this decision. I highly recommend them for the professionalism, work, materials used, quality, and precision. They have their own showroom and they have a wide variety of color combinations on tiles, cabinets, vanities, flooring, among everything else you might need and want.

Although the overall environment was challenging during these COVID-19 times, the team at Z Design Construction were very patient and accommodating. Once the work began, it became immediately clear that we were dealing with top-notch professionals who were responsive to our calls, texts, questions and thoughts from beginning to end. We were kept updated on status of each workstream and next steps.

Our contractor was Charles and he was terrific from start to finish. He was quick to raise concerns and offer solutions as we went along and was a true partner on the project. That, and he's an extremely kind person who truly cared about the outcome throughout and wanted the best for our family.

Charles and his team did a fantastic job from everything from the kitchen cabinets, kitchen countertops, installing/replacing light fixtures, bathroom vanities, bathroom tub/shower, flooring, and everything else they worked on. This is a company that employs great people who do very good work. They team was polite and also very good about cleaning up after they leave. This company really cares about rectifying problems if they do exist and ensuring customer happiness which will set them up for success for the long term.

This is a high-quality operation and we're thrilled we chose to go with them and look forward to partnering with them again on future projects.

With the new flooring and the recess lights, the house looks very modern and amazing. The floor does not squeak anymore, and the recess lights layout is perfect. It was a pleasure to work with Charles, the owner of Z Design and Construction for our home remodeling work. Our project manager Wu was super friendly to work with. Wu is very knowledgeable, detail oriented and full of ideas. The framer and electrician were super experienced in their trades. I recently purchased a townhome but wasn't quite satisfied with the countertop, color, and flooring choices. I was looking for a firm to help me upgrade all these things and more. Z Design offered a complete set of services, from flooring to electric installations to painting, and went above and beyond to ensure the project went exactly according to my specifications. Charles even coordinated all the workers to get the work done ahead of schedule. Would highly recommend!

Charles and his team are simply amazing! He has a lot of experience in remodeling since he was able to give us very good ideas. Knocking down the wall made the open layout very functional living and kitchen area. The main work was remodeling the kitchen. Starting from designing phase to the completion, Charles and his team are very professional and skilled. It was very easy to work with them. We were pressed on time. Charles, Bing and his team renovated our kitchen from ground up in 2 weeks and it was all ready before thanksgiving in 2020
Their team is very fast and did the thorough job. The crew came on time and even worked on Sundays to do the work including Demolition, counter top, cabinet, paint, plumbing, finishing touches. Bing supervised the job and we are very happy with the fully renovated kitchen.

The crew wore masks at all times which kept everyone safe.

Charles and his crew did an excellent job on two bathroom remodels. We are thrilled with the final results and couldn't be happier. Throughout the whole timeline from visiting the showroom to demo to wrapping up, Charles and his crew were available via text, email or phone. I never waited more than a few minutes to hear back any time we had a question or concern. Charles' crew is very attentive and punctual. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of every day. They were very careful of not damaging any other part of the house. I received updates to the invoice at periodic times all throughout the process. There were never any surprises with cost or otherwise. My only regret is not finding them sooner. Highly recommend Charles and Z Design!!

I hired Nick after my home suffered water damage. I received three bids but chose him based on past experience and the trust I have in his work. Throughout the project, he was always available, responsive, and genuinely committed to helping—often reminding me, “It’s my job to take care of you.”

When an insurance adjuster came out, Nick showed up right away to advocate on my behalf, even though the claim was ultimately denied. Despite that setback, he and his crew did an excellent job repairing sheetrock, reinstalling cabinetry, and restoring my fireplace.

Nick kept me informed every step of the way and went above and beyond when I wanted a unique fireplace design—visiting multiple showrooms to find the perfect materials. The final result is beautiful, and the craftsmanship was meticulous. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again.

We hired Nick to demo/remove carpet in our home office and install laminate flooring. From the very beginning he was super helpful in helping us select the right laminate product, being transparent about which products will perform the best and what is worth the money and what isn’t. The work he did was great and it’s clear he takes pride in the product he produces. 10/10 would recommend him and plan to use him for future rennovations!

I highly recommend DLCS Builders.I was so nervous and stressed out because I had extensive repairs, including dry rot, etc Window and slider installation. Nick was so professional, kind and so helpful. He answered all my questions and made me feel at ease . Nick has a strong work ethic, meticulous and great communication . Nick was responsive on first call. We called him on a Saturday and he was able to fix our toilet leak and replace the water damage on the flooring the next day. He did an excellent job returning the bathroom in pristine condition. He was very polite and easy to work with. We will definitely call on him again.

Nick de la Cruz responded immediately to my post regarding a leaky toilet. He was out the very next afternoon, after he graciously picked up a new toilet for me. He installed the toilet quickly, as well as securing some flooring that was loose. He seems very knowledgeable about his trade, was easy to talk to, and his prices were on point! I'll be calling Nick for many more projects.

DLCS builders remodeled the original master bathroom in our home & we couldn’t be happier!!! Nick and his employee Ismael were a pleasure to work with. The estimate fell in line with others we had received, but went with Nick based off of a referral from a good friend as well as references.

Nick is incredibly responsive & stayed in constant contact throughout. They showed up on time and left the space clean when they finished at the end of the day. He works with GREAT subcontractors for plumbing and electrical, who were equally as professional! Our bathroom looks amazing, and based on such a great experience, we intend to have him do our Guest bathroom next.

We had Nick come back to remodel our guest bathroom and he did an incredible job! We couldn't be happier with him as a person, and the work that he did for us!
