Cannot believe the transformation of our bathrooms after Groutsmith finished restoring the grout and caulking in the tubs and shower. Looks like new. Tub literally sparkled. Staff was very professional and personable.

We chose this San Diego company through Angie's List, relying on its A rating. Next we heard from one of the owners, a lady who identified herself as Jan. I found her to be very professional, answering all my questions on what to expect. She followed up with a preliminary visit to our home to assess what we wanted done, and again her professionalism and engaging manner gave my wife assurance that our job would be done well. A previous tradesman had burned us badly, so Jan's visit was important. The crew arrived on another day, clean truck, men dressed smartly, knowledgeable, articulate, engaging, They took the time to show us what was worn down, why, and what needed to be done to make our marble shower, bathroom marble floor, bathroom vanity and kitchen counter look restored and sealed. The team went about their work quickly and efficiently, no idle chatter between them or on their cellphones as so many tradesmen do. Especially noteworthy was their focus on making sure no dust collected, a great concern to my wife. Fair price, great value. After all was done, and my wife delighted, Jan returned to inspect the job, I'd have to give this San Diego company an A+ for such attention to detail at every step of our interaction with them. So from beginning to end, an extraordinary experience of professionalism that we have not encountered before..

The crew that came to my house was fantastic! Respectful guys that made all my tile shine like new again! My favorite thing they did was regrout my stainless steel kitchen sink. They made my 14 year old sink look like it was just installed! Thank you Groutsmith!

What did I like? Everything!!! My acrylic shower wasn’t something they handle. But their service professional who came by was excellent. He spent time and explained things well. He also showed me how to clean my shower walls and the grout on my tile floor.

I found Groutsmith after significant research on the internet, checking Angie's List and Yelp. I called and left a message on a Saturday evening and early Monday morning received a call from Jan. I explained my problem with the caulking around my tub and made an appointment for Jan to come out and give me an estimate. She was on time for the appointment, obviously quite knowledgeable, extremely professional and willing to answer all my questions and concerns. A technician came out a couple days later to re-caulk the tub. Again, he was extremely professional, respectful, and knowledgeable. He actually laid a canvas cloth at the front door and wore disposable booties to help keep the floors clean. He made a couple of suggestions regarding the type and color of the caulk which I agreed to and am happy I did. When he was done I felt like I had a new tub, I have already recommended Groutsmith to friends and will continue to do so without hesitation.

We hired Groutsmith to remove and replace the grout in our masterbath for $600. Within a few months, the new grout started to erode. It turns out that the old grout was never removed. It was a cover up job. I called the company to report the issue and provided pics that they confirmed receipt of. They failed to respond after that.

Our kitchen floor is ~15 years old: textured white porcelain tile with wide grout lines which had become very discolored over time. We've had the tiles cleaned previously but never had the grout repaired, resealed, recolored - and boy what a difference it makes! Should have done this years ago. Getting the appointment for the quote set us was easy and the evaluation was performed professionally and on time. Similarly, the work (which took ~3 hours) was done on time with excellent results. The Groutsmith San Diego did a terrific job of cleaning up our faded colored grout after we had rented out our home for nine years. And they left us a sheet of the correct products to use in the future that won't cause harm. Very nice guys, too. We would leave our beloved dog with the salesman. :)

I saw some of the reviews for Groutsmith and decided to obtain an estimate for cleaning the downstairs Floor and Shower in the master bedroom. My property in San Diego is nine years old and with two children, the floors looked the part. Jan came over and spot cleaned a small area and I was blown away with the results. I told her if she promised the entire floor would look like this, I would be sold. About two weeks later, they came out and spent the full day cleaning my floors and shower. I wish I could post a before and after photo! My floors looked like new again and it was nice to remember why my wife and I picked this tile. It's been about a month since cleaning and we are still amazed how our tile looks. Some neighbors actually asked if the flooring was new! Lastly, Leanno cleaned our marble shower and that alone took the whole day as he removed the hard water deposits that were growing over the grout. Again, I wish I could post photos as he restored the shower back to its prime. Both Jan and Leanno are very knowledgeable and took a lot of time with me to explain the process and what I need to do in the future to keep the floor and shower looking new. I am very impressed to say the least!

This company is amazing. They cleaned up the grout in both my bathrooms and my kitchen. Andrew and Colin did an excellent job! Now I don’t have to remodel my bathroom. It looks clean and new. I will use Groutsmith again and highly recommend them!

My husband and I were searching for someone to clean and repair kitchen, bathroom, and floor tile in our rental condo in San Diego. I met with a couple of companies that provided estimates. My priorities were quality, efficiency, and price, while their focus seemed to be getting the job done as quickly as possible. I asked my contractor for his suggestions and he said that companies that clean tile don’t necessarily repair tile; I wasn’t aware of this. I googled and reviewed several companies and found the GroutSmith.
I met with Jan the same day I called for a consultation. She was on time and actually spent time looking at the tile and grout and demonstrating color options for grout in the various rooms. She patiently answered all of my questions and definitely did not try to talk me into more work than was necessary. She was honest about what she thought could just be cleaned. Jan was a joy to work with-so professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. In fact, everyone I interacted with was professional and cared about doing a great job. It was so refreshing!
The tile looks brand new-I can’t believe how nice it looks. The kitchen went from disgusting, dirty yellow to bright and clean. The kitchen and bathrooms look years newer. The shower stall is completely bright and fresh. I can’t wait to have them come to my house to work on our tile!

I was impressed with this company from the moment I requested a quote to having the work done. My tile had become dirty from a number of construction projects. I was very pleased with the tech crew that took great efforts to clean my tile and have it look its best. The Grouthsmith does amazing work! This was the best investment we made in our new house. Old grimey bathrooms look completely brand new after The Grouthsmith came in. Our tile and grout look amazing! It seriously looks brand new and that was no small feat! (Our tile had become very grimy.) The results exceeded my expectations! There were 3 guys who came to our home to clean the tile throughout our downstairs, all bathrooms and the master shower. They were on time, efficient, and respectful. They get bonus points for being really friendly to my kids and dog! I felt safe leaving them in my home while I ran a couple errands too! They did an excellent job and will be using them again whenever that may be!

I recently used The Groutsmith for the second time, having been very pleased with a kitchen tile job they did for me in a different house. For this job, we needed tile cleaned, colorized and sealed in a kitchen and bathroom.

When Jan came out to give me a free quote for this most recent job, I really appreciated how she spent the time to educate me about the different surfaces I had in these two rooms (they worked on tile, travertine and granite), and how she went through all my options, including showing me quite a few grout colorization choices - many of which I would not have considered or chosen on my own but ended up being much better than what I had in mind.

It was easy to set up an appointment, and the guys who did the work left my house spotless. It was awesome to come home to see my restored tile and grout. The work on the bathroom floor and shower was particularly impressive. I knew the travertine was dirty, but I didn't even realize HOW dirty it was until after The Groutsmith was done working their magic. After the work, it looked beautiful, changing the whole feel of the bathroom - a really impressive change.

This was the second home in which we have used the Groutsmith team to clean our tile floors and epoxy seal our grout. This time we also asked them to clean and seal the Spanish paver tiles in our patio areas as well. Just like in our other home, when they were finished the floors looked like brand new! Again, we could not be more delighted. Their team members are the consummate professionals and did an excellent job. We can not recommend them more highly.
