Action AC was poignant and very communicative with appointments and scheduling for our hvac repair. Devon was on time, friendly, professional, and very transparent about his decisions regarding the repair of our malfunctioning furnace unit. It wasn’t a straightforward issue and required 2 visits to fully diagnose. The work seemed of the utmost quality and required little to no disruption to my wife and i’s work day. Would use again and would recommend to others.

Our Technician, Keith, arrived on time for our A/C and furnace bi-yearly system maintenance. He was great! Very personable and patient explaining the services that he would provide. He answered all of our questions thoroughly and clearly. We would be happy to have him as our service technician for all future A/C or furnace needs.

From start to finish Action Air Conditioning and Heating were professional, eager to anwer any and all questions and I highly recomend them should you need assistance with your HVAC system. Thomas created an extremely detailed quote for me including every item to be installed with my new system with photos of each. Robert and Harley were extremely polite and explained to me what they were doing each step of the way. These young gentlemen have a very bright future. They also explained to me how the inspection process worked. First the HERS inspection and then the City of Oceanside. Both have inspected the work and have given my new system the seal of approval. Action also made financing easy with an outside agency who offered 0% financing for one year. Action Air made a situation that could have been stressful into one that left me at ease and confident I had chosen the best company for the job.

David was our service technician for checking our heating system. He showed up on time after we received a call that he was on his way. He did a very thorough job with checking all the components and heat exchanges in every room. We were very pleased with his expertise.

Great company great communication easy install without price gouging. Put a new furnace in a year ago and unexpectedly. Got a free inspection and tuneup today of the system. The technician PETER was excellent professional and explained everything to me. I would recommend this company 100%.

They came out to look at my place to give a quote. Small 2 bedroom condo. Ventilation was already in place and electrical was already installed. The rep even said the instal was pretty straightforward. Then came the quote. It was so high it went from comical to disrespectful. I got a total of 4 quotes from different companies and so glad I did. This quote was between $3000-$5000 higher than the others, AND it was the only one to include added upsells. I can't speak to the quality of work because I never got that far, and never will at those ridiculous prices.

Mr. Gill was exceedingly knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. He found technical issues with our first quote from another company for our HVAC replacement with a heat pump system, and he was able to beat the first quote’s price substantially with better equipment. His honesty and positive attitude made for a great experience. Highly recommended

who came out and performed our vent service so we could use our dryer to its fullest potential once again. Polite and very helpful answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. We have used another HVAC company for installation and maintenance of our system. Recently their tech found that our system needed extensive repair. Their rep then provided a hand-wrtten quote. Their tech and rep didn't give us much confidence. We then contacted Action to verify that the system did need the repair. Their tech, Cameron, was exceptional. He was professional, courteous, very knowledgeable, thorough and friendly. He verified to our complete satisfaction that the heater did need extensive repair. We were so pleased with Cameron that we asked him if Action could provide a quote. He contacted the office and sent his pictures of the system to the design engineer, Joseph, who had been assigned to provide the quote. Joseph arrived in a short time and was very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly as he explained our options and answered our questions. He prepared, explained and provided us with a formal Action quote. Based on Action's responsiveness and the quality of their personnel, Cameron and Joseph, we have signed a contract with Action HVAC. After the job is completed, I will submit an updated review.

UPDATE (February 2026):
After months of attempting to resolve this privately — including being told to “get an attorney involved,” to stop contacting the company, and to instead file a claim with my homeowner’s insurance — Action Heating and Air is now publicly offering to “assist further.” That was not the response I received when I initially sought help regarding a serious safety issue.

Response to Owner:

I appreciate the public reply.

However, after the September 2025 incident, I contacted your office multiple times by phone. I was told your company would not assist, that I should contact my homeowner’s insurance, and ultimately to involve an attorney and stop reaching out.

Immediately following your technician’s visit, a short circuit occurred in my attic and sparks were coming from outlets upstairs. A licensed electrician confirmed it was a serious fire hazard and corrected the issue at a cost of $688. This documentation was available when I contacted your office.

Directing a homeowner to file an insurance claim rather than reviewing your own technician’s work is precisely why this situation is now public.

If Action Heating and Air would like to genuinely address this, reviewing the technician’s service notes alongside the electrician’s invoice would be the appropriate first step. That opportunity has existed since September.

Homeowner safety should not require public pressure to receive attention.

I remain open to a fair resolution.

DO NOT USE ACTION HEATING AND AIR -- SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE

In September 2025, a technician from Action Heating and Air came to my home and caused a short circuit in my attic. Shortly after their work, sparks were coming out of electrical outlets upstairs. This was an extremely dangerous situation.

I immediately called a licensed electrician, who told me I was lucky a fire did not start. I had no choice but to pay $688 out of pocket to correct the safety hazard that Action Heating and Air caused.

It is now February 2026, and despite repeated attempts to resolve this reasonably, the company has refused to take accountability. Instead, they told me to "have an attorney contact our legal team" and to stop contacting them. That response alone should tell you everything you need to know about how they treat customers when something goes wrong.

What's especially frustrating is that they had no problem responding promptly when I paid them to install a new AC and furnace a few years ago. Once there was a serious issue involving safety and liability, they completely disengaged.

This company put my home at risk and then walked away from it.

DO NOT USE ACTION HEATING AND AIR AT ALL COSTS.
Your safety and your home are not worth the gamble.

I had an excellent experience with Alex from Action Air Conditioning.

After being told by another company that a 3 year old Lennox furnace was unsafe, not repairable, and needed full replacement, we contacted Action Air for a second opinion. Alex performed a thorough diagnostic inspection, checked the system carefully, ran it for an extended period, and tested carbon monoxide levels.

His findings were clear. The system was operating properly, there were no error codes, no internal contamination issues, and the furnace did not need to be replaced.

Alex was professional, honest, and took the time to explain everything in plain terms without any pressure or upselling. His evaluation saved us from replacing a system that was working correctly.

If you want an HVAC company that focuses on accurate diagnosis and integrity rather than selling equipment you may not need, I highly recommend Alex and Action Air Conditioning.

Action Air is my go to company for HVAC. Every experience has been excellent from beginning to end. Matt Bareis the sales rep is a pro and is trustworthy in making recommendations with my best interest in mind. Installers have been very professional and if there is any needed follow up Tony has ensured that it is timely. Elijah the service tech that came recently was professional and went above and beyond to make sure all was good, even installing batteries in the thermostat without my asking.

Cameron ensured that Action Air honored its 10-year warranty, arranging a $700 pump replacement (including three hours of labor) at no cost to me, with two years still remaining on the warranty.

Both Cameron and Alex displayed exemplary professionalism. They stayed after hours to make sure the job was completed correctly, demonstrating a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. They arrived well-dressed, wore protective shoe covers, and carried themselves with patience, courtesy, and respect.
