Vanessa Grimaldo, our project design specialist, was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She really took the time to listen to what we wanted, brought us several sample options to make sure the new pavers matched the existing ones perfectly, and was always quick to respond to our questions and requests. Her attention to detail and thoughtful approach made a big difference, and we felt like we were in very good hands from start to finish. The final result looks absolutely fantastic and really brought our backyard together. Everything turned out even better than we imagined, and the entire process felt smooth and stress-free. We successfully completed our 2nd major project with Black Diamond led by Peter Smith with great work from Javier and his team. Once again, we are very happy and satisfied as everything looks great. We are very happy with the job Black Diamond did to transform our side yard and back yard with pavers and stairs. I got quotes from three top-rated paver companies (4.5 stars or better), and Black Diamond's quote was the least expensive by about $1000. They also threw in adding landscape fabric and small, decorative stones to a few small areas at the edges where pavers would not fit, while the other two companies insisted we do that part ourselves as a DIY project. I appreciated that Black Diamond was providing a more full-service experience and was charging less for it.

We worked with Peter Smith as our designer and overall project manager. Oscar managed the team that did the installation, and the on-site work crew leader was Javier. All three of them did an amazing job. Peter was very friendly, professional, and created a beautiful and functional design. Oscar worked on-site for one day at the beginning when the most complicated work was done, and I assume he was working in the background to keep everything organized and ensure the project moved smoothly, from material delivery to work crew assignments to debris removal. Javier was very skilled and personally built the stairs, the most difficult part of the job.

I've attached some photos of the final product. We are very happy and recommend Black Diamond, Peter, Oscar, and Javier.

We had our driveway redone in pavers with Black Diamond, and we are thrilled with the results. Michael Martinez was our Project Manager, and he promised excellent service as in managing the project, and he did not disappoint. He provided us with homes in the area that we could visit to help us decide on the best stone and color choices for our home. He communicated throughout the projected, and worked with me to make the best in-project decisions that needed to be made as issues arose. He never tried to up-sell us on more expensive materials just for the sake of up-selling. He always had our best interests in mind when helping us to make decisions.

The overall cost was reasonable for the work that was done, and the upgrades that we added during the project were also reasonably -priced and added to the finished product.

The team was efficient and easy to work with. As Michael is not on-site all the time, there were others who were able to explain the process and the progress that was being made. They were able to pull in workers from other jobs a couple of days, which resulted in our project being completed a full week ahead of schedule.

We have a beautiful driveway that was done for a reasonable cost and was completed a week ahead of schedule - we are very happy customers!

Mike Gurtler and Oscar transformed our yard/dirt field into a space that we can truly enjoy. From the beginning, we worked with Mike to turn the ideas in my head into a workable design. Then Oscar and his team showed up and got the actual work done more quickly than I anticipated. It turned out exactly how I imagined, and the quality is well worth the price.

Black Diamond's crew (which is run by Andreina and Wilmer) just left. They changed our front yard from being old cracked cement and sad bushes into something that is attractive and easy to maintain. Paver stones look great with our house, and careful sloping helps with drainage. Columba Gutierrez and Steve Turner (He is the best!!) coordinated and managed the project. Steve listened to what we wanted from start to finish and also designed the project and developed beautiful drawings. He was responsible with the budget and paid close attention to every design detail from bronzing the drainage grate and arranging beautiful polished pebbles to recommending the plants. Devil Mountain Nursery took longer than expected and kept delaying the delivery. The plants are smaller than we were expecting, but it is still Winter. The nursery was our only disappointment. But, the crew went and got the plants to make sure we would not need to wait any longer to get our dream front yard. Steve and crew made it all work. Thanks Black Diamond."

I contracted Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape to rebuild my driveway and walkway, and add extra parking. They came in at a great price for the scope of work and they did an expert job, everything was done the right way, no cutting corners. My project manager, Peter, said what he would do, then did what he said. It was wonderful. Peter created the design with just some input from me, and it was better than I imagined!! I really liked how they changed the angle of the pavers on the porch and walkway, and the extra parking area too. They manage their crews very efficiently, which was a great benefit to me, because they came in on budget and on time. They are very knowledgeable about their work, which gave me great confidence in the results. I am extremely satisfied with their work and processes and I plan to hire them again. I have already contacted Peter for more jobs! I highly recommend them.

Very happy with the results! Nick Miller, who oversaw the project was involved every step of the way taking the time to keeping my wife and me updated and allowing us to make decisions at each step. Raymundo and his team were stellar working dawn to dusk to insure we met the agreed upon deadlines.

Black Diamond Pavers gave us a really attractive and well-built patio and walkway with which we are thrilled. The walkway especially elevated the side yard from a rocky and mulchy mess to a clean entry and walkway to the back yard. It really has made a difference in our experience using these areas that were hard to enjoy or walk around. We no longer track muck or sticky tree fruits through our sunroom which is huge!

We love it and are grateful for the installation team for doing a really good job, especially with troubleshooting the strangeness of some aspects of the areas they pavered.

There were some things that didn't go as expected, but, the company did their best to rectify which made up for it. Peter takes clients' satisfaction seriously! The issues weren't anything to do with the quality of installation or the end result, either.

We think installation was done really well, and customer service is great, so all in all 5 stars is warranted!

After a long awaited landscape update, our yard is beautiful. Our experience of working with Tyler, Fernando and their team was outstanding from day one.

Tyler listened to our design ideas, colors of plants and turned our ideas and his into a beautiful organic design. He said the job would take two weeks and in five days it was completed! They never stopped working from the first day.

My wife and I were budgeting for a project to replace our back lawn (or what was left of it) with synthetic turf so that our young kids had a safe and clean play area. We received several quotes from other companies but ultimately chose Black Diamond because of Nick. From the first day we met Nick and throughout the entire project, Nick was easy to reach, professional, knowledgeable, and understanding when our toddlers were competing for attention (i.e., having meltdowns). At no point did Nick make us feel pressured or like we were being difficult (even when we probably were). He simply answered our questions, gave us recommendations, and ultimately let us choose what worked best for our needs.

Raymundo and his team quickly began work after coming to an agreement on the scope of the project. Our project began relatively small but evolved once we saw the amazing quality of Raymundo’s work and included an expansion of our back lawn, mow strips (front and back), replacement of our front walkway, added steps with lights, and paver overlay of our front porch. The quality of Raymundo’s work is unparalleled to any other company we have worked with in the past.

Aside from their knowledge and quality of their work, Nick and Raymundo both stand out from others because of their honesty and flexibility. They both went above and beyond our expectations and kept us involved and informed throughout the project. There were a few times during the project that they let me know of minor changes or issues. These were often so minor that I would not have even known or noticed but they were transparent, which allowed us to have a conversation and come to an agreement on next steps. There were many more times where we came to them with questions or changes and they were equally willing to have a conversation and accommodate us whenever possible.

My wife and I could not be happier with the outcome of the work with Black Diamond, Nick, and Raymundo. We have already referred them to several family members and friends and will certainly be using them again for future projects.
