We have a 100 year old house in a historic neighborhood. It needed some major renovation. We now have a new roof with architectural shingles, insulation in our attic which has saved us hundreds of dollars in winter, new gutters with guards that don't need cleaning, and best of all, a completely renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower. Pleasant, flexible and caring men to work with who always showed up on time.

I asked Ed Henicle to bid on a seismic upgrade project at our house in the Fall of 2025. We scheduled an appointment for him to assess the work. He and his son showed up on time, went under the house to evaluate the scope of the project, and then took the time to walk me through the paperwork and timing the project would require. His bid was competitive but a little higher than the other bids. I decided to go with Ed because the scope of work that he proposed was more complete than the others and he quoted a fast timeline. Also he came across as a good communicator and a good, no nonsense guy.

Well, I'm glad I selected him, because we finished the project ahead of schedule and with no drama. The work was done properly, the cost was what he quoted, the permit and final inspection went without a hitch, and like I said, we were ahead of schedule. I'll definitely be contacting Ed again for my next serious home improvement project.

I used Henicle Services for Seismic retrofitting and dry rot work. They did an excellent job. They didn’t cut corners and truly have great pride in their work. Every morning they let me know when they planned to arrive and what work was planned for the day. I enjoyed working with such professional craftsmen.

Ed did our seismic work through the EBB program. Ed is unlike any other contractor that I have dealt with. He has great communication skills. He works efficiently. He meticulously cleans up after each days work. If I could give him 10 stars I would. Best home repair experience I’ve ever had.

Darrin and his team are simply the best. He was so very patient with us since this was our first BIG house project. We have a lot of dry rot and overdue for a new paint job, and Darrin gave us peace of mind with his transparency of the costs and answered all of our dumb questions (because we don’t know anything). TBH I spoke to 2 other guys, and Darrin was more approachable and personable, I felt like he really cared about our needs and goal for the project. The hardest part I had to do was pick the colors for the house LOL. Darrin was super cool with getting sample paint for us so we can see how the colors would look like in on our wall before we decide. Now our home looks brand new! He also helped me save money when I mentioned thinking about buying a new metal gate since ours is discolored and rusty. His team painted our metal gate and OMG I thought it was a new gate from Home Depot LOL. Seriously, from the bottom of my heart, thank you Darrin, Vern, Todd and Finny for the live and care you gave in ensuring our home looked brand spanking new.
