Darrin is a great, transparent, hardworking guy. He is straightforward in his pricing and his main goal is about delivering a high quality finished product that you will love. He is the first person to work on my house over the last 5 years that I've felt taken care of instead of taken advantage of. He just finished fixing and painting the exterior of my home, and as he peeled back trim to repair, they found more repairs were needed before painting. He walked me through everything they were doing and took care of it for me. My wife and I are so happy that we went with Darrin to paint our house. When we get around to repainting the interior, I know exactly who I'm going to call. I would strongly recommend Darrin for any job you need done. Seriously, there is no need to call anyone else: it will be a waste of time because at the end of the day you will choose this company every time.

This company is the best! They painted the exterior of our coastal home. It looks brand new now! The owner is great to work with. He is honest, accommodating, punctual, and does an exceptional job. His crew is polite and professional. I’m very detail oriented and Darrin was receptive to my input and suggested upgrading our exterior vents (which was a bonus that improved our curb appeal tremendously) He even did some added non-related repairs while they were at the house. The whole project could not have gone smoother. Quality Painters will be repainting our house again when the time comes. Thanks for doing an excellent job. Bravo!

Pro:
The paint and work is quality, prices are reasonable.

Con:
While painting the second story, Darrin’s employees cracked 2 of the cement tiles on our roof, and pulled some flashing away from the house. This caused extensive leaking during the heavy rain a year later. We presented the supporting documentation from a professional roofer to Darrin. Darrin refused to acknowledge that accidental damage was done by his employees. Darrin also refused to make things right and reimburse us for the $4000 of damage done to our roof. When I contacted his insurance on the paperwork he provided that lists his coverages, the insurance companies stated he had no insurance policy on file.

Will also mention, we never had any leaking issues since we have owned the house. Darrin’s employees are the only ones ever to set foot on the roof before leaking issue.

Darrin and his team were great! They painted the whole interior of my first home and it’s an incredible transformation! Darrin also had great advice regarding color and design choices. In addition to painting, the team also moved some strangely placed cabinets and made the entry and kitchen so much better and more functional! We were moving in as they finished painting, and Darrin and his team were very accommodating. If you’re looking for a team who will take care of your house, call Quality Painters!

Darren and his team were fantastic!

I have a very large intricate old Victorian home that was in desperate need of an exterior paint job. I phoned three different painting companies to get quotes. Darren's quote not only was the most reasonable, it was the most detailed and thorough and had the most flexibility as far as start dates.

When it came to the actual work, the crew was on time every day, left everything neat and tidy every afternoon and was very respectful of the plants/landscaping and my dogs.

I can't tell you how many folks in the neighborhood have commented on how beautiful the house looks now. Absolutely would hire them again and hoping to work with them for an interior paint job sometime this coming year.

Quality Painters was such an overall disappointment. They started the project, did reasonable work, then didn’t follow through and complete the job. We are still waiting for a cabinet door that broke and was never replaced.

It took nearly 2 months and literally dozens of calls and texts to get them to respond, only to have Darrin flake again.

Do yourself a favor avoid this company and share the word!!! This is the only way for a company who does bad work to have their reputation proceed them. Fingers crossed, the result of their own actions will cause the company to suffer, so they don’t take advantage of anyone else.

It is important to share both positive and negative experiences so companies like this get outed and they learn to become accountable for their actions or lack thereof.

Darrin, reply is not completely incorrect. I was generally happy with their work initially. However, that satisfaction changed when Darrin’s follow through stopped.

The door broke without any abuse, despite Darrin’s opinion. Ironically, Quality Painters said they would resolve the issue and I believed him. It took several months for Darrin to reply. When he did, they removed the door and indicated they ordered a replacement and would paint and reinstall. After waiting for over a month, the replacement door was not received, painted or installed. Instead, the original door got reinstalled, still broken. We were again told it would be replaced. That was 6+ months ago, without a single call following up. I left several messages and texted to find out when the issue would be resolved. After months of neglect, yes, the tone of the correspondence changed as a means of getting his attention. I was forced to reach out via reviews to now get attention. Such a shame!

Dec. 2023 Update:

Daryl and I have overcome our differences and Quality Painters proved through their actions and words that they do good work.

At the end of the day, it isn't how things start, but rather how they end. In this case things ended well and bravo to Daryl for making this right.

Darren and his crew did a great job painting my house and deck, previous painters had cut corners and did a subpar job. Quality Painters fixed those mistakes and did an impressive job on the preperation work. I'm extremely happy with their work and would recommend them to anyone....Professional Punctual and Courteous

Darrin Rogers and his crew did an incredible job at our home. We had our kitchen cabinets refinished, interior and exterior painted. They also fixed the dry rot. The crew was always on time, and were vigilant about prep work. They were always kind , courteous ,respectful and friendly to our dogs! We will definitely use their services again in the future!

Darrin and his crew did a fantastic job on the exterior paint of our house. The house hadn’t been painted in a very long time. Darrin and his crew handled all of the needed repairs with skill and care. The house now looks like a totally different house!

Highly recommend! Great painter and crew. Family business with attention to detail. They matched the color exactly did a great job on house, barn and decks. They also took care of some woodworking to fix failing components on the house and deck. NO over spray so house and barn well masked. Highly recommend them for your paint job. On time each day crew was courteous and asked questions to make sure we were happy with the job.

Darrin and his team did a wonderful job. My house was sorely in need of exterior paint. I interviewed three companies and went with quality painters because I felt they used the best paint and materials for my job. They were fairly and competitively priced as well. They even stained my garden bridge at no cost. His crew was very polite and helpful with any questions I had. They were super professional and very neat. I couldn’t be happier with how the project turned out and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

We've used Darren and his team for a few projects (exterior painting, laundry room remodel, electrical charger installation for our EV, etc) and they have been GREAT! We have an older house so things are not ever as simple as they seem like they should be - Darren and his crew always find a way and creative solution. They are super nice and respectful and always leave the place so clean and tidy. We will for sure use them again in the future!

I was most pleased with the knowledge and work accomplished by Quality Painters. I had contacted some painting companies and none of them knew how to apply the paint to the exterior of my home that was in a Tuscan style. Darren Rodgers of quality paints, was extremely helpful and providing Numerous samples and making four visits to the site even before we signed a contract to obtain the color and texture that I saw I was quoted a price that was fair and I have no problem. Recommending Quality Painters both for a fair pricing and for an outstanding quality for a difficult pay job.

We are very happy with the job Quality Painters did on our kitchen cabinets. The cabinets look better than they did when they were installed new. Their work ethnic, attention to detail, ability to listen to our wants, willingness to go above and beyond, and professional manner communicating the timeline and project goals, all combined with their friendly easy personalities, made it a joy to work with them. Harvest Electric performed a change-out of the electrical panel at my residential home last Friday. I recommend them highly. Jordon (sp?) was the main worker on this project. His work was very efficient and smoothly handled all of the requisite City of SR and PG&E sign-offs.

I had several quotes to get my electrical service changed. Not only was Harvest quote less than everyone else, his price included the permit. They also facilitated the change over with PG&E. Tim brought the guys out in the morning and had everything finished and cleaned up before I made it home from work. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Extremely unprofessional if any issues arise. Worker was driving down the city road in a backhoe with the bucket completely full of work equipment spilling out with a shirt with the logo of this company on the back and I messaged them and all they said was “That’s badass” on a clear violation. Very untrustworthy if he thinks breaking rules is cool and “badass” as a business man so I’d definitely consider someone else for the simple fact it seems he’s not afraid to be shady and he thinks its funny to be called out for it. It was established it wasnt his worker currently and it was another man with his logo on the shirt but the overall response of “badass” when you’re trying to inform a business owner of someone violating the safety standards is very concerning, even with name and logo attached. He even told us to leave that man alone and mind our own business. Seems like this man will cut corners for safety if he can and humors it so definitely be careful. I’m also assuming he hires people who cut safety corners if this man had his shirt on.

Gabriel and his dad are the absolute best. In addition to being great people, they are true craftsmen and do quality work at a fair price -- a rarity in Marin. Highly recommend.
